Two questions on how to connect it to Aurora 9.
1. Which plug to use for Aurora 9? Post picture or link of item.
2. And should we remove and replace the thick wire or just solder an additional connection?
1. Never know what connection plug you get for lipos, stated one thing, but ships the other.
2 Good plan is to buy 10-20 pack of your favourite connectors/plugs and if you get some other plug just solder your favourite one. It's easy, look vids at YT.
they fit perfectly in a mini-e revo, 2 of them side by side is about 1/2 inch maybe 1 inch thinner than a regular 2 cell 5000 that i use in my blitz as far as height goes im unsure about the battery area in a stampede 2wd
You can put it on a 50a esc too if you come off the top end throttle quick, using the extra burst juice, but it shortens your pack life when you get it wrong and hammer it without thinking.
Esotericvoid: The A rating of the ESC has absolutely nothing to do with battery life. You can use a 300A ESC with this battery and the only disadvantage would be the added weight. The engine is the component that decides the current draw, if the ESC is to small for the engine, the engine will still get its amps and fry the ESC.
Is there anyone who have bought this battery that can tell me if it is exactly 33mm wide. Would it fit in a 33mm broad battery socket?

charge all lipo at their rated capacity, so a 2200 would be 2.2 amps, a 1000 would be 1.0 amp ect. a little lower wont hurt either. i charge my 2200 at like 1.8-2.2 depending on how much of a hurry im in.
I bought one to be used as a receiver battery (a Turnigy receiver). But the connector is wrong. I think I'll need an adapter.
Is it ok? Is it possible to use this battery as a receiver battery? Or do I need to buy a different battery? Thanks in advance.
Yes you can use this battery for the receiver as I do but be careful, you HAVE to use a "bec" between the battery and your receiver or you will destroy your receiver
Just buy a few connectors of each type and make your own adapters . One male soldered directly to a female connector with a pc of heat shrink and you can interchange between any of the most common plug types.

You must calculate your total A demand and choose your C rate accordingly. 30 C will be good for a 450 class heli. Of course 20 C works too in a 450 class heli. But 30 C or higher values will be more healty when there is big A demand.

Well, I think you're right.
I have a clone of :Genuine IMAX B8 Charger/Discharger 1-8 Cells" :"Max E6" These are great value for money. I have this clone 2 years, and still no problems. I use this for my 1s , s2 and 3s lipo's and my nimh cells. Max E6 isn't anrymore in HK or it has another name. I guess "theHobbyKing ECO6 50W 5A Balancer/Charger w/ accessories" is the same as mine Max E6.
Any lipo charger that will be able to charge the lipo pack ar 2.2 amp or less, I use the hobbyking 5 amp charger set to 1.1 amp for a slow charge, better to charge them slow and more frequent than fast charge when it is totaly drained.
If you have a lot of batteries get a multi port charger about $99.00US. If you have just a few I have one of these www.link and I like it because I can charge all kinds of batteries and very reasonable price.
I think it is an excellent replacement, as it has similar voltage and capacity with less weight. You only have to ensure the stuff connected to it will stand the 8 volts such a battery has at whole charge condition, just 0.8 volts above max. voltage supplied by NiCd pack.
depends on your nicd-pack: if the dimensions of this lipo are ok/under your actuall pack and if the capacity is ok -> best replacement you could ever do!! unless you just use your item only at temps under 0C, then the nicd is the better choice *) remember this pack has a capacity of about 2200mAh..make sure this is equal or more than your original *)
I've replaced 7.2V NiMH batteries with these. I use them in a drift car with standard brushed setup. They are just great, giving much more power than NiMH.
Just be aware of discharging the cells below 3.0V. If your ESC does not support LiPo cut-off then get a cheap LiPo alarm to protect the batts.
This battery is extremly value for money. I bought 2 of these and using them as reciever batteries. Highly recommended. They come with 12 AWG wires which are good for heavy load applications. Atleast 5 flights with high Torque servos (5). Must buy...

I bought this battery to try in my mini revo and its as close to a perfect fit the anyone can ask. Only had to trim the battery door i little bit more. Goes in and out of the battery compartment very easily.
As good as the more expensive batteries, but go a little bigger in the amps. Not worth spending up to x3 for the brand model. Considering the price - they are actually better
