may some one recomend a good plane for this engine !
 jaymon 5 points
A 90 sized extra 300 would be a perfect match with Pitts muffler.
sudi9  40 points - 5/19/2013

after using this engine for a while now, about 15 flights of 6-7 min each flight inverted, the engine seems to be running great after some fine tuning, now i have mounted it on a graet planes Reactor bipe60 inverted, lots of power using a 14x6 APC,so far i am pleased with this engine. I was worried of the fuel consumption with this large engine, but it turned out to be fuel efficiant, 320cc fuel tank with 8min in the air and still had a third of the fuel tank, so that's not bad at all.
 Moggs 25 points
I used a 15x8 prop on mine in a 10lb ugly stick. Bounce starts by flipping spinner backwards.

What glow plug used for this engine, hot, medium hot or cold?
sudi9  40 points - 4/20/2013

i have used this engine on a 55size mustang with a wooden prop 14x8 which seems to work best,so far i am pleaesd with this engine it has about 8 flights on it. great engine hobby king!!!

Asp 1.08 I have been running this engine for 3 years straight now in the vise. It runs nice but smoke a little. Then I put the Pitts on it.It runs nicer. After I break it in I put it on The Dave Plane, then i tried to grow another Dave Plane
sudi9  40 points - 3/7/2013

I just purchased this engine, i have about 7 flights on it works just fine with 13x8 master prop, using the stock muffler and carb no issues ,although it's a little rich with the stock carb, happy with the preformance.

I have been using this engine for 6 years ,turns 16-6 apc 0 nitro * 8400 revs, hands starts easy throttles perfectly use it in funtana 100. Thank you HK for finally stocking this engine.ASP,MAGNUM best chinese engines.

Would this suit an Extra 300 size 60? Great Planes says to use .61-.91 2 stroke. Is this motor the same crankcase as the .91?
 sudi9 40 points
Yes it would it's the same as a 91 size no problems,i am using this engine on a 46-55 size mustang. My opinion is that there is never such a thing as overpower!! Only under power For the price of this motor for sure can't go wrong, since i have beeen using asp engines there is no need to spend lots of cash on os no more, they have prooved to be reliable
beedude  50 points - 1/30/2013

Plugs i use are enya No3 or os F if motor stops running try using muffler presser nippel return to fuel tank allso wrap fuel tank in foam as vibrations will cause air bubbells for proper tuning pinch fuel line for a few sec if stops too lean open highend needel 1/4 turn - if speeds up too ritch close a 1/4 if pinch no change settings wright no low end needle screw in sid carb works of throtel response open throtel quickly if stops too lean open 1/4 if ya get a hesitashion then too rich close 1/4 respose shouled be instant and smouth make shaw your motor is run in first, try not to mount motors up side down as used oil will foul plus side mount with exzaust down best.

Got mine today after 24 days, Ya Know Slow Boat .... It is not a Ringed engine as advertised! It still fits in the AK-SU27 Model and I bet it will go VERTICAL as long as it has NITRO! and It will last longer than any OUTRUNNER, LIPO Battery PACK or ESC........ I'll bet it will get more hours of filght in one day than any electric in a full weekend......Can't talk more gone FLYIN!!!!!!!

What plug to be used?
 Rayman39 9 points
I use No 8 plug here in South Africa because I live at a high altitude, I use No 8 s on all my engines with no problems except HK don't sell them.

Which type of propeller do we have to use with this engine? As I am making an Airboat...

i'm looking for a manifold. what is the distance of the drillings for the manifold? regards
 Tsurwolf 96 points
The hole spacing is 42mm for the 108A Think the 91 has the same muffler.
 rudeboy 79 points
and where can i get a manifold for this engine? i have already a resonance exhaust system.
 Tsurwolf 96 points
Custom model products ( Australia)
 Tsurwolf 96 points
Company above not listed anymore try ***********modeldesign.c*m.au or Modelengines.c*m.au
 Tsurwolf 96 points
***********macspro.c*m/headers_side.asp they should have something to fit
 rudeboy 79 points
modelengines(dot)com has a manifold i'm looking for. unfortunately they only sell the items to retailers. and australia is a little bit to far away to keep it attractive. do you know a seller somewhere in europe?
 Tsurwolf 96 points
Sorry no idea, try to email them or check Macspro.c*m
 rudeboy 79 points
the stadard OS manifold of the .91 seems to be ok, but where to get it?
 Tsurwolf 96 points
A web search might get a retailer in europe otherwise sorry you on your own

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to glow engines and am having trouble tuning. I don't have an asp, but an older kb .60 two stroke.when they say to back the high speed needle out a certain number of turns , say three, is that 360 degrees three times, or three half turns, which is all I can do in one twist. I hope someone understands my question.
 newbie guide 623 points
just use some whitner on one of the little gash and then count the revolutions.

Hi guys, Does any one know the distance from the cly to the start of the mufler chamber. and is the mount the same as the FS91?
flying plow  17 points - 3/16/2012

any recomendations on a spinner, would really like an aluminum spinner nut. think I'm gonna have to settle for actual spinner though.
 Robert 13 points
Use a14x8 wood prop per the manufacturers recomendation
 flying plow 17 points
finally found the correct spinner nut, the size is 3/8-24

any recommendations on the type of plug to use? and thanks Kellyann!
 Kellyann 16240 points
flying plow thanks to you too. The plug does depend on the amount of nitro. But for small amounts or Zero nitro and ALSO a good place to start a new engine is Hobby King is PRODUCT ID: 9123000003 HobbyKing Glow Plug No.5 (MEDIUM). I hope this helps

Any one use it with trex 700 or 90 size heli? What sort of fuel to use?
 F100CUFFLINK 916 points
you dont want to use this with a heli this is a airplane motor , heli is a higher RPM , dont use this, you need to ran higher titro also in the heli correct this is good for about 10%nitro.
S. A.  85 points - 11/13/2011

How much thrust does this engine produce?
 F100CUFFLINK 916 points

I need spare parts for my OS108 and intend to use ASP parts but I1m not shure if it will work. If someone have used ASP parts in OS
engines please let me know the results. Thanks for the help.

try the rc universe they always have used parts just ask
 Flyer01 22 points
Not compatible!! talk to your friendly and expensive OS parts dealer orthe guy who specialises in dificult to find OS parts in Canada. Rule of thumb only OS parts specifically designed foryou engine ofthe series your engine belongs to. Unless you have a custom machining shop, and source of ceramic racing parts replacements for ultratuning OS engines as the pole racinf fraternity do.

Received mine today. But not ringed as described on site. Hobbyking should ensure the description of product is correct as per avalaibility & not misguide the customers. Yet to fire it so ratings will be done on checking the performance. But surely good buy for the price.
