would this work in the micro t?
CPMBOY  9 points - 5/29/2012

I ordered 2. At label it says 350 maH but when I charged & balanced the batteries with 2s and 0.6A option....the capacity goes beyond 350maH.....500 maH.....anyone experienced this?
 Gerry01 2917 points
How did you measure capacity? Discharging it fully? I have 2, both have a real out-of-the-box capacity of 320 mAh. Measured doing a full charge and discharge cycle.
 CPMBOY 9 points
no wonder i got that weird readings....one of the batts has lost its charge just after recharged...myb some rejects batt been relabeling
 iflylilplanes 266 points
I had 3 of these packs, all exceeded expectations. Two of the have been warn out, over a hundred flights each and disposed of. The third is still working well. The small size and weight of these packs is a big plus. As to the capacity anomaly, it never worried me.

Les 2-3 premières charges c'est normal que la batterie soit chargée au-delà de 350 maH

great little batteries - opened out the mini (should be micro) tiger moth bay to suit them and just never let me down - always charge to full capacity

Would this battery work with my nine eagles sky surfer, or would it ruin my plane
 Mate 18 points
It would be perfect for it, but if the nose is too heavy, you should put sg to the tail.

I bought 2pcs and I´*m trying to charge my batteries with the simple turnigy 2s & 3s charger/balancer. The charger works nice with my 3s batteries but my first time charging 2s and it do not work.. show the light like normal charging but do not charge, I use a voltage meter after and before charge 30m and I see the same 3,80v each cell. Can you help me?
 Gerry01 2917 points
I guess that you should ask this question in the discussion section of the charger. The batteries itself are normal 2-cell lipos, I have 2 of them an both work well. Good luck!
 Superelectric 261 points
what connector you use to charge the battery. red or white ?
 telmix 4 points
Thank you for reply! I´*m a hobby beginer but I know what I´*m doing, the red connector is to plug on the ESC and the white connector is to plug on the charger. So, the reply to your question is white connector.
 Superelectric 261 points
sorry telmix. i did no say you are beginer. by the way. welcome to the best hobby in the world. thats why i'm asking you. you have the basic charger. that have 2 plug entry. one for 2S and other for 3S using the balance plug as a charger. most regular chargers you plug the red to charger and white in balancer. anyway. ok saying this. try to look insithe the plug and look if the pins are all in the same level. and the same with the connector. or move the battery white plug to check if it is loose.

At 3.8v they have accepted no charge. these are only small 350mah batteries. have you tried charging them at a lower current ie 0.5a if both batteries are the same I suspect it is your charger or a setting on your charger that is wrong.
glenn_mech  315 points - 2/22/2012

guys, 1.)Can i use this battery for my micro F86 jet? 2.Would this battery compatible with the charger that is included in the RTF version of this micro F86?
 DJ Danielus 339 points
Yes, I have both: F86 Sabre (ARF) and this LiPo pack. Battery fit OK (not perfect - you must find the correct place for it and for cables). As I can see, the RTF version include LiPo charger with balancer for 2S LiPo packs like this, so you can use it *-)
 Superelectric 261 points
Yes you can..i also upgrade mine to make it fast..you just need batt rhino 3S 350mah ,9A ESC, same motor ..your charger is the same it support 3S..but you have to change ESC to a 9A..flys like a bullet

Need the above battery for a Losi 1:24, bnd rock crawler but with Losi Micro connector, or an adapter that will work with the mini jst plug. Cheers Jay
 Maxim 24 points
I think you can simply change to JST Female 2 pin connector. today is in stock here
 Superelectric 261 points
because there is not adapter for JST-Losi connection you have to make your own..the good part is that you will keep this for any other JST battery..ok you have to buy losi connector part number W5102 and JST part number AM-9017A cut a little the cables and connect red/red ..black/black..make shure to use shrink tube or buy just the JST connectors without cable and connect it same cable
 jerome 6 points
You must change the connector Losi with the JST Connector in order to simplify the connection and to avoid that the connection burn during a run with mini Losi(my experience)
 Cardinals 77 points
Search for HobbyKing PRODUCT ID: AM-9017A and connect on your micro crawler. Cool car by the way!
 losiboy 2 points
hey definately change the plugs to mini deans because they are a much better plug imo and they also carry power better

I have ordered two of these batterys whial thay were still in stock and about a week ago and in my order statas it still seas processing hs this happend to anyone else and why. Shuld i contact hobby king
 DJ Danielus 339 points
It can be happend, when you order a lot of small elements or choose the cheapest postage like international air mail...
 Gerry01 2917 points
Got 2 of these on different orders, one was on a 100gr package, no problems.
 whightdagon 4 points
can i do anything about it
 whightdagon 4 points
and will hk eventually ship it or do thay just forget about it
 whightdagon 4 points
its hopfuly all good hk have now aparently dispached my order
 pizzaschnitzer 470 points
some orders are slow in case of the shipping class.
 kiappa 30 points
fit perfect on losi mini 4wd
 zanek 95 points
You should contact hobbyking, because by then it should be at least 'reserved' and should have shipped by then

 erick 6 points
its probably on its way they just haven't updated it yet. i have found that hobby king is kinda slow on things like this.
 mattio79 120 points
looking at mathematics and the time of your post, it was chinese new year and they were out of the office for a week, so they got a double- dose of orders and it took longer than it ordinarily would for the same time span to catch up
 Reuel 1 points
that happened to me to and they said the were closed for 2 weeks for the Chinese New year don't worry :)
Ryan  1 points - 8/1/2011

mattio how long of a run time are you getting with these in the losi 1/24 sct. and how long is your chargetime with what settings on the chargers?
 boingk 257 points
I charge these at 0.8A (about 2.5C) and they charge in around 18~22 minutes depending on how much I used. I get run times of 7 minutes or more with my small flying wing powered by the 10g Hextronik 2000kv outrunner with GWS 4040 prop. HOpe that helps.
 hibobcheese 6 points
i get about 15 min with mine on the losi 8250kv brushless motor. it takes mine about 20 min to charge at 1A. i like this battery a lot, definitely recommended.
 Dhengineer 42 points
I used 4040 40g BLmotor 10Amp ESC and my flight for 4-5 minutes in my mini Cox F4U corsair.
 Billy 2 points
Hi, Myself and a Friend are using this battery in our Losi MRC pro builds with 280 sized brushed motors on Tekin B1R's and find the average run time per battery to be about 18 - 25 minutes depending on how many times you have to spin the wheels. Awesome battery for the size and at the price you can afford to walk around with 4 or 5 in your pocket
 MisterL 3 points
with the original motor it would run 15-20 minutes without any problems. but you have to check the motor doesn't get too hot, the original mounting plate will become soft. best you purchase the aluminium mounting plate then you have fun with no limits. charging time at 0.8A approximately the same.
 zanek 95 points
I don't have this exact battery, but I have a 350mah 3s, and with the Losi micro brushless motor and Turnigy ESC I can run for about 1/2 hour. So I would guess about 20-25mins on the stock system
 mattio79 120 points
I charged this at 700 milliamps. (0.7A) it would charge in about 30 minutes, stay balanced and
I would expect a 30 minute runtime.
 erick 6 points
i know i get 20 mins with my 1/24 crawler. i would suggest charging them at .3A otherwise they will not last very long and it should take about 1 hour to charge.

Hi there Question for mattio79, the ZIPPY Flightmax 350mAh 2S 20C batteries fit the Micro Losi Sct?... What about the dreaded low voltage Losi plugs, the plugs on the flightmax are jst?... How do you get around this and what charger are you using? Cheers J.R.
 mattio79 120 points
yes they fit the micro sct/rally. i have the rally and it fits very snugly, as far as connectors, i would go to my local losi-supplying hobby shop and order the losi micro plug and have them solder/crimp one on for you. i have a "common sense RC Balance PRO" balancer and a Multiplex ln-5014 charger. i have never had any problems with it and i have been using it for about 7 years now. no kidding!!

when is there new stock waiting or 3 weeks
 mattio79 120 points
it can take up to 30 days for stock to arrive. each day you are without a model to run seems like an eternity. i feel your pain. but there is no sense in worrying. it will happen. what you should do is sign up for email notification of stock.

would this battery fit and work in the Micro Xtra-300 2.4Ghz Airplane w/ 2.4Ghz Ready-2-Fly?
 parkflyer29 5 points
yes, it's ok
 mattio79 120 points
i am not an expert on flying. you will have to break out a measuring device (calipers do wonders)
 Thorsten 8 points
Yes, i use this in my Nine Eagles Xtra-300. Flighttime will be about 10 minutes.
 Peter 2 points
what is recomended for the plane? if only 1 cells are recomended i would say no. if 2 cells are ok by the manufacture then go ahead.
 fcanon 5 points
and work with the NE extra 300?, can you use the same charger?
snans  43 points - 2/2/2010

hi

will this fit in the cessna micro rtf ?
they normaly sugest the 180mAh, but they are out of stock
 nitro 158 points
yes it will but it will be a tight fit
 mattio79 120 points
i am not an expert on flying. you will have to measure your plane's battery bay. leave yourself a little wiggle room. an interference (too big) fit is bad for your plane and hard on the shrinkwrap.
450ryder  13 points - 1/25/2010

Does anyone know if the will fit the battery tray of the Losi Micro Desert truck or HHigh Roller?
 steliosh 65 points
No it wont... I tried it! It's a bit longer than needed so it wont fit in the battery tray.
 mattio79 120 points
neither, it will more easily fit the Losi Micro SCT and Rally (1/24 scale) i bought it for this purpose and it works flawlessly. honestly, it might fit the DT, but i'd measure to be sure. i think the battery bay might be a bit shallow, but measure to be sure. the current measurements on the website are accurate
 icarusLSU 5 points
Hi there I am getting a SCT as well and was curious what you did about the connector? Did you change the SCT's connector or just replace the connector for each battery you purchase? Would there be enough room in the SCT to have a small adapter rather than changing the plug? Thanks for any info www.link
 mattio79 120 points
i would get the micro deans and swap out connectors. the micro rally and sct both have a 2s lipo lvc. i would not trust it though. the differentials in those vehicles are also pathetic. i upgraded to a brushless system and it has destroyed 3 diffs. the plastic they use for the ring and pinion as well as the diff cases are not good materials. the diff case flexes just enough to let the brittle ring and pinion to unmesh making them slip and shear off the teeth. tbh, i would stay away from lipo and anything that takes these vehicles away from stock, other than a better-performing, cooler running brushed motor.

What charger should I use to charge this battery? Are these chargers not too strong?:

You can use Turnigy balancer & Charger 2S-3S. Charge rate for Flightmax 350mAh is 2C = about 700mA. This charger charges at current 800mA.
 mattio79 120 points
they are fine, just make sure not to charge faster than 0.7A. i usually have mine at 0.4A i'm in no hurry
 ListerStorm 32 points
They are not to strong. Every charger under 1A(1000mah) will be ok. I use the first one for this Lipo works great.
 Kobrar 13 points
You can use the HobbyKing Variable 6S 50W 5A Balancer/Charger w/ accessories to charge it
 erick 6 points
just buy the thunder ac6 its only like 45 bucks and works great.
Deano  1144 points - 9/4/2009

Don't use this battery for the micro foam planes for sale on this site. They are just too heavy - go for a 200mah battery (or less) instead to keep the weight down.
 Sloperdude 1309 points
If they were in stock I would. HK is fantastic, but 2/3 of the stuff I want has been out of stock for about a month!
 mattio79 120 points
you can upgrade the foamie's motor to compensate for the weight and benefit with longer runtimes and better performance...

The real capacity of my two units is about 320mAh.

Stated size is wrong, too. Real size is 40x20x14mm, instead of 40x22x20mm

Weight is really 21g.
