Hi, i'd like to combine this motor with, HobbyKing Brushless Car ESC 10A w/ Reverse Turnigy TG9e 9g / 1.5kg / 0.10sec Eco Micro Servo for my 1:32 Drift RC Car. Can anyone suggest me for the lipo battere? I want to keep as low weigh as i can, maybe for 5 till 7 minutes running.
boy  1 points - 3/12/2013

Screw for mount is M1.4, you can find in HK but beware the length of screw, motor tickness only 2-2.5mm

would a team losi xcelorin esc (1/36) handle this with reciever and servo?(sr300 and losi 3 wire servo)
 D.B.G. 14 points
Yes...Max current of this motor is just 6A and the stock xcelorin esc is max 9A peak and 6A constant...So is Ok *-)

After waiting 2 months, the motor arrived ... but the axis of 1.5 mm and 2 mm as in this config table of the product. I bought the pinion 2mm and was great. For those who complain now?

Can someone please tell me what the bolt pattern dimensions are for the mounting screw holes on this motor?

Anyone know if this motor is an suitable replacement for the motor fitted in the Nine Eagle Extra 300? Think the original motor is too week...!
 Crash_Test 10 points
Yes indeed it was a direct swap for my Xtra 300. used a 6A ESC and works great I swapped out all the Nine eagles Electronics and used the orange recever and 2.5gm servo's

Tanks :)
What kind of prop is recomended??
 Crash_Test 10 points
I'm using a GWS 4x2.5 and a GWS 4.5x3 I found that the GWS 5x3 caused cogging on start up so i'm guessing that its a bit heavy for the motor but it does still work. also using a 1.5mm to 4mm prop saver to stop the props snapping when I land (with out wheels) have fun
 chrifchri 9 points
Thanks, better start ordering then, hope they stock up soon :)

any of yous know the diffrece between the high roller and the micro t i would like to know which one i should get PLEASE REPLY IF YOU KNOW WHICH IS BETTER
 Evan 4 points
Micro-T has a ton of upgrades for it, the High Roller doesn't, I'd get the Micro-t
 FrYakaTKoP 76 points

 Doug 99 points
micro SCT is pretty awesome with this motor
 Coen 5 points
micro high roller is cooler IMHO, but it has a higher CoG. hop ups for micro-t mostly fit the high roller too. only the chassis is different basically. sadly the highrollers are out of production now

can i run motor this with a single cell lipo (1S)? To slow down a micro-T for the kids...
 Frofah! 14 points
yes it will slow it down, but I will suggest getting perhaps a 2S lifepo they have them here, they have the same battery life and durability, but slightly less voltage. if not, a 1S will be fine.
 Frofah! 14 points
* LiFePo4 just search it up in the batteries section

 bigi05 6 points
Thanks for the reply, the idea is good, but the size of the LiFePo4 are to big. Only 21x11x34mm space available.
 Frofah! 14 points
Ok. A 1S will be fine, as far as electronics but it may start to become under powered if your kids ge a bit keen
 Mar11 2113 points
Give him credit man !!
 Michael 30 points
Be carefull with the ESC because, if the Voltage goes down the Amps go higher.
 Doug 99 points
Why dont you program your transmitter or ESC to limit the speed. Thats what I did, and I let my buddy's 3 year old play with it, and he was able to control it easily. (TrackStar 18a has 50%, 75%, and 100% settings) HK 310 3ch 2.4ghz transmitter has the ability to adjust top speed from 0 - 100%)

Got one with some dragging inside. Any way to fix this? Or open it somehow to inspect...
 chrisc3998 43 points
try blowing it out with compressed air
 Rcfanaat 7 points
Try to spray WD40 in it... or when you want to open it. Slightly hammer the axle a litle bit on a hard surface, so the rear part of the motor comes loose.
 Crash_Test 10 points
Agreed try canned or compressed air with a fine nozzel - good luck
RICTHOT  6 points - 5/24/2012

Will this motor survive a 3s lipo. Heatsinks will be used on 'em on GWS EDF50 fans... Worried that 2s will be barely more powerful than the little stock GWS brushed motors...
 Cainam 18 points
It should be fine on 3s, as long as you don't let it free spin. I'm using one on a little Losi Rally car, and I can get through a 500mAh 3s pack without overheating or exploding.

Is this motor re-stocked on a "regular" basis? I have set email alert since at least 90 days without getting notified on re-stock.
 chrisc3998 43 points
This is a hard motor to get. I waited two months for it to be restocked. When I finally got it it was well worth the wait.

Screws are not included.
Where I can find screws for this motor?? I use it in a losi micro SCT. Works well.
 chrisc3998 43 points
Here is a link to where you can purchase them right here from Hobby King. The Thickness of the motor plate is 2.5 mm. depending on what you are mounting it to. (EDF, or conversion to a pusher) you may want it to be a little longer. I hope this helps. www.link

u have to modd. the motor mount. it is quite simple!

Can i use this motor with TTS-18A - Turnigy TrackStar 18A for 1:18 car mod for 2s lipo(want to modify toy car)? Im limited in max size of 15x30mm.
 elgusanobi2008 65 points
hello, if you have if gear reduction, but not directly to the wheels is too hot
 Marian 5 points
this motor has 12X30 mm with 8 mm between the holes for instals in motor mount.
 Doug 99 points
that setup, TTS-18A and 2s lipo, works great with this motor. As always it will come down to gear ratio. I used it in a 1/24th SCT, and it worked great, with torqu to spare, though I eventually upgraded to the higher kv 1220 10300kv version of this motor, which is highly sensitive to gear ratios.

Guys!

How do you fit an EP prop into this tiny shaft?
Which adaptor or which prop saver do you use?
 foam and tape 6 points
some props are a direct push fit (GWS 3x3 or 3x2) that or get a 1.5mm collet adaptor.
foamthrasher  38 points - 7/23/2010

Can somebody please tell me the distance(diameter) between the mounting screwholes? Thank you!
 Doug 99 points
try reading the rest of the questions... this question is asked all the time, and it's answered just about as often.. 8.5mm
