Can i use this with a Emax Cf2812 1580kv motor and a 20A esc ?
 mrdrob08 12 points
Yes and it will work flawlessly
 mena142 740 points
It depends entirely on what prop you plan on using. At 1580kv and this 3S (12.3v fully charged) battery, I'd go with some 8x4 prop to keep the amps low. Keep in mind that the max amp draw for this battery is 20a (20cx1a) but if you draw that much it will get hot and reduce the lifespan of the battery.

Can this battry be used for MINI F-18 EDF FIGHTER JET EPO (PNF)?

What motor do you have in your plane?

I am new to the hobby and have a 9XR Mode2. When I power up the trans.it gives me an Alert all of the switches are forward, and the Alert says to push a button and when I do it resets itself. When I first received the trans.I would turn it on and it would go right to the main screen.Second thing is my throttle stick on the right when I push it forward the little icon is at the top and it moves down towards the center.Any help would be appreciated.
 Roger 2250 points
You could get more answer by posting at the 9XR discussion board. LOng press the left button and scroll down to the Default Sw menu. From here you can set whatever switch position you want as the default. I don't really get what your 2nd question is but let me try. You have a Mode 2 transmitter and the right stick is spring loaded so it comes back to the center position. Your throttle is the left stick.
 Ayberk 21 points
You must have calibrated it wrong. Hold down the left button long. Then go right tot he calibration menu. Then put all the sticks and turny knobs(pots) in the middle position even the throttle at 50%. Then move all the sticks and knobs to their maximums and minimums. Hope I helped.

Can i use this Turnigy 1000mAh 3S 20C Lipo Packin my Esky Honeybee cpx
 Jonathas 60 points
Hello friend. It is compatible with E-Sky HoneyBee Cpx. The original battery is a Lipo 11.1V 1000mAh like this. :)
manuel  2 points - 1/27/2013

alguien la probo en un big lama? puede servir?
 Jonathas 60 points
Hello friend, the Big Lama original battery is a 11.1V 800mAh Li-polymer battery. The battery Turnigy 1000mAh 3S 20C Lipo Pack can be used in Big Lama without problem, only verify the Pack Size: 79.5 x 36.5 x 17mm if fit in your heli battery support.

goddamn.. they have 10gr more like the "old ones".. it`s a problem if you use 2 of them in a onewing.

my 1000 mah cells are give correct voltage but battery performance is very low (motor speed) and fly time is also low and during the fly battery get over heat why is that ?
 CADERTOT 65 points
It could have a bad cell or could be that your motor Esc combo pulls to much power and you need a higher rating mah and c rating
 praneeth 9 points
your battery it was while death. u can change your battery. when you buy a new battery please think about thise one>>>>>> if you charge first time your battery and give a big Amp for your battery then you can use your battery too years.don't connect a big voltage without type battery MAX voltage then never fail your battery, never high heat your battery. u can see good a fly... keep remember.

Hi Looks as if this could be a useful battery for my FS FlySky FS-T6 T6 2.4g transmitter? Any issues I need to be aware of? - sorry I am a complete newbie, and I do not even know if the FlySky kit is any good, it has only just arrived! - I just thought it may be better than constantly putting in 8x AA cells or rechargeables? Grateful for any help! Thanks Michael O'
 mena142 740 points
A LiPo mod is very common, and it will work. You just have to be 100% sure that you plug negative to negative, and positive to positive or you will destroy some internal components the moment you plug it in reversed. I would recomend tho, that you get one of the "transmitter packs" HK sells given that they fit on your unit.
BEST ANSWER CREDIT AWARDED
 Michael O' 7 points
Thanks for that, you are very helpful! - I did not realise that HK sell a pack for their transmitters. I will now go and look. M

how do I connect this with esc? what should i use? male plug or female?
 knokke 5 points
On a batterypack you always use the female plug, this way you can avoid an accidental short circuit.
 Paulo-ca 1 points
You will need to replace the battery connector to match your ESC connector. If you keep the bettery connector you need to use the JST connector in your ESC
 Felipe 2 points
Você vai precisar de substituir o conector da bateria para corresponder ao seu conector ESC. Se você manter o conector bettery você precisa usar o conector JST na sua ESC
 Viper_one3 10 points
You will need a female JST plug!

what current should this be charged at?
 mena142 740 points
You should charge this at 1000mA to prolong the life of the LiPo, but it can also be charged at 2000mA for half charging time, not more than that.
 Rustler8 17 points
I charge mine at 1 amp.
 MikiLa 2 points
It's easy. You should charge at a low rate if it's possible because of the material (it will last longer). The standard maximum is 1C. This means that the whole volume of the pack will be loaded in 1 hour. If your lipo has 1000 mAh, you should charge at 1000mA -> 1A. You can charge at a higher input, but i don't recommend this because of the lifetime of the pack. Maybe it will overheat, followed by an explosion in the worst case.
Daniel  1 points - 5/16/2012

whats the " A " (when charging 0.1A is asked what do i put)?
 mena142 740 points
You should charge at 1A (1A = 1000mA)
 Dawid 13 points
A is Ampere *******en.wikipedia****/wiki/Ampere
 MikiLa 2 points
It's easy. A is an Ampere. This is the most common definition for the amount of energy (electricity) which flows through a wire. If you charge at 0.1 A, you put in 0.1 Ampere in one hour. You should charge at a low rate if it's possible because of the material (it will last longer). The standard maximum is 1C. This means that the whole volume of the pack will be loaded in 1 hour. If your lipo has 1000 mAh, you should charge at 1000mA -> 1A. You can charge at a higher input, but i don't re

It depends on your setup...search for MotoCalc and calculate your setup.

Friends, I have a doubt. I'm buying a model airplane piper j3 club only missing the battery, they will need the JST male or female?

For ESC you'll need JST female, for battery - male

female connector
 Raphael 8 points
I recomand you to buy a bigger conector and avoid use these JST conector for this size of battery.
 mena142 740 points
The female side always goes in the airplane side and the female on the battery side, hence, you plug the battery to the airplane and not the other way around.

This battery can supply up to constant 20C, technically speaking, i can charge up using 20C but risk of explosion during to high temperature built up. Unless i have a very effective cooling system. To be safe, you can charge up to 5C depending on the charger capacity and ventilation. Hope it help.

What Chargers Would Work With This?
 Lennyluger 16 points
Just about any charger that can charge a LiPo. Here are some suggestions:
- HobbyKing ECO6 50W 5A Balancer/Charger w/ accessories (product id: ECO6)
- Turnigy balancer & Charger 2S-3S (product id: Turnigy-3S)
- B6-AC Plus - Charger/Discharger 1-6 Cells Dual Power (COPY) (product id: FY-B6AC)

Remeber to make sure you have the correct plugs that fit the battery.

Regards,
Lenny

Can i use it as a tx battery?
 Vivek 7 points
No the discjarge is too high..
BEST ANSWER CREDIT AWARDED
 pompebled 10 points
Basically yes, but only if the manual states the TX will handle up to 12,6V (a fully charged 3S). Jan.
 rls0022 10 points
If the radio supports 12 volt it will work as it will only draw what in needs the battery wont force current the tx does not need.
 yrider426 4 points
You just need to be careful. Short answer: Yes it will work. But it is possible that the battery can supply too much current and fry some of your electronics. That is the risk you run. Unlikely, but possible.
Sreedhar  4 points - 5/22/2011

can this lipo be used witha 23amp motor?
 Vivek 7 points
No please dont.. its not rated for such high current...
 reini1755 26 points
this lipo can do 20 A contiouse. i would prefer a nanotech with 25c
 joeham 8 points
No, better use >= 25C Lipo
 magnusEl 1214 points
Does the motor pull that current, or is it rated 23A Max?
If your motor draws less then 20A then it is OK, but you have to meassure the current to be sure!
 gvertical 22 points
very good lipo
 Ivan 3 points
Yes, can. If you do not fly at full thrust for more than 20 seconds.
 OrlCorp 14 points
You can, if full throttle is rarely used and not for long.

My connectors fused together after only a few seconds at 15 amps. HobbyCity- design a connector between the JST and xt60.

Also, one of the tabs inside the battery was sheered off, I was able to reconnect a little bit, but I don't know if it will hold. We really need the USA warehouse to accept HC returns.

Great Packs! Recieved today and have 2-3 flights on each pack already. Uses JST style plug rather than deans, but not a big deal. Using on two setups:

Aeroworks Extra Profile
Turnigy 28-30B 14A 1050Kv
TowerPro 25A ESC
10.38SF prop

Scratch Built Profile Foamie
TowerPro BM2409-12T / 25A BEC/ 9x4.7

Both have just STUPID amounts of power and ROCKET from hover. Take any where from 980 to 1020 MAH on IMAX balance charger.
