can someone tell me on this motor what wires are blue,red,and black.
 Mirko77_Italy 135 points
it doesn't matter.. link them all to your ESC and start it. if the sense of rotation is inverted, just invert 2 cables connection. color are set only in some models and only for beginners... its not important the order in wich you link the cables to esc. if rotation is inverted, just unplug 2 of them and invert them to let the motor rotates in the right sense

how many MM is this motor diameter?????
 Mirko77_Italy 135 points
Mine has Diameter with caliber: 25.6mm (read 26mm). If it helps, credit pls

I have this motor and I'm currently looking for screws to mount it into my FF (FireFox) EP200, what size are they and where can I get them? I'm having to guess currently I'm estimating the diameter of the holes of the inner set (12mm spaced) are 1.5-1.75mm (measuring by eye). The outer set (16mm spacing) look like they are 2mm (measured again by eye), but the FF EP200 doesn't have mounting space for them. I didn't cut the shaft, I carefully with a small vice, pushed it down onto the shaft with a pair of small washers

Another thing with this motor: Shaft size is OFF, in that it won't accept gears which an Esky EK5-0005 motor will! So yank another 2 points there, ah... now we're minus 3! How convenient: They've bypassed the specs altogether... now I know what to watch out for in future when dealing with this outfit... HINT!
 David 46 points
This is listed under "Firefox parts" so... my own fault for buying it! Cheers

Hi david, Did u cut the shaft to fit the stock pinion?

Hi guys, i used this motor on my hk250 gt with Turnigy 800mAh 2S 20C Long Lipo and Hobbyking SS Series 25-30A ESC but the motor gets hot so the battery and esc am not sure Why?
 triac 5 points
Also the battery drains really fast.
 David 46 points
SAME: On a Blade Pro full brushless, this WILL heat up packs and drain them fast! NOT a good pick, this will cost you MORE $$$ in replacing other items as I've already found out. Puffed up TWO nice packs w/this P.O.S.!!!

Nobody tried to 3S? I want to put on HK-250 with 12T + 850 mAh 3S?
 hhrhhr 224 points
on 3S motor give >50000 rpm, this is so many for this small item.
2S and 13T is enough for hk-250gt, but the battery should be 20C or more (for 800mAh)

Even without the SPECS, it can be seen by the WEIGHT of motor and GAUGE of input leads you don't want to put 11.1v into this. It gets toasty enough in my Blade Heli on 2s, Okay there, Vlad?
 Aero_eBook 381 points
Confucius say: Vlad go 3s, motor go BOOM BOOM BOOM and so will ESC!

hi, could anyone share the mount-hole spec of this motor plz? modifying ep200 is really annoying. I hope this motor can fit straight onto ep200.
cheers,
 David 46 points
It mounts perfectly in my trash pail!

This is the EP100 / EP200 150 Watt Heli Motor, Almost Identical to the 5150kv Blue Motor sold elsewhere.

Specifications
* KV: 5150
* Weight: 25.5 grams
* Shaft Diameter: 2.3mm
* Size: 25.6mm x 18.5mm
* Mount holes: standard 16 & 19
* Max Current: 19A
* Strictly 2 Cell Only

I Recommend
25A Turnigy ESC (same weight as 18A)
2S1P 7.4v 1000maH 20c (burst 25-30c)
14T Pinion if used on EP100/200
11/12T Pinion if used on Trex 250
M0.4 2.3mm Press Fit with Green Loctite

Elias

This is a really nice motor. I'm using it with 14T pinion on my EP200. The 15T pinion is too long. I still have to trim the heli properly, but so far the motor seems to be powerful on 2 cells.
 hhrhhr 224 points
> * Mount holes: standard 16 & 19
no :(
it has 12mm & 16mm motor holes and don't fit in "HK-250GT Metal Motor Mount" without drills...
 deanc 253 points
I don't have one of these motors but judging from the picture I guess hhrhhr is correct on the mounting hole.

Can we have some specs plz?
is it for 2s / 3s?
required ESC?
 po_au 641 points
Okay, I guess its 2s since it might burn at 3s as its 5000kv..
po_au  641 points - 6/9/2009

after I login, it cost twice as more, why is that??
 Grzegorz 198 points
The same situation here 9usd vs. 21usd when logged in.
 po_au 641 points
if u r happy with the price, u can add to cart then login, it will stay at the same price in your cart. I was just checking things out :)
 Burnaby 529 points
Membership has it's privledges* of course in this case it's paying twice as much. Wonder when HC will fix this. At least it's good to see spare parts for the ff200.
Is this new? didn't see it when I got my ff200 a while back.
 Aero_eBook 381 points
WHY are you guys SO retarded? Just look at the WEIGHT of it and gauge of WIRES! DUH???

5 thumbs up!
I am using this motor in my HK250GT. I am running only 2S1P for mild flying style. It is enough power for me and I love this motor. Do not forget to buy Turnigy Plush 18A as well. It work great with this small motor.

1 thumbs up!
just recieved this motor , its a tad smaller than my 250 but not by much so it will work with the hk 250
mounting holes dont line up so some dremmel work will need to be done to the 250 mount. diment in mm end to end 34.05mm width 23mm pinion mount 2.30mm lenth of pinion mount 10.13mm its long so it will need to be cut.now the bad news , it dosent come with any connectors so when you order it order the connectors you need and shrink tubing 4star
