On first putting this battery in operation, how should I charge it? Balance or regular?
 Dimitrios 56 points
Doesn't really matter, start with balance. Generally if you want to keep your battery in good shape, you should balance it every 3-4 charges.

Hi Dimitrios! what about the Turnigy 800mAh 2S 20C Long Lipo Pack, any difference? beside it is longer
 Dimitrios 56 points
If the size is not an issue for you (for me it is because it doesn't fit) this is fine as well.
Emil  3 points - 3/9/2013

Hi, i'm thinking about buying this battery, but i see it as out of stock (actually -7 in stock) So i was wondering when this might be back in stock, or if there is anything that is just like it, at about the same price?
 Dimitrios 56 points
Hi, I have ordered it also myself last week. Normally it should not take more than another couple of weeks to arrive in stock. There is also a similar one from Zippy but it's also on backorder. I would stick to this one.

recomendo bem leve e uma boa durabilidade

What amps shall I charge it?
 Vewdew 7 points
0.8 amps for a 1C charge rate. However, I've had no issues charging this battery at 2C (1.6 amps).

I have this battery: Turnigy 800mAh 2S 20C Lipo Pack and this charger: GT A-6-10 200W Balance charger & discharger. With this charger of mine I always get the error line "SHORT ERR" when I try to charge. Although, when I it charge with my friend's charger (HobbyKing ECO6 50W 5A Balancer/Charger w/ accessories) everyhthing goes ok.
 Dean Blair 23 points
That't the message that keeps coming up on mine aswell. Annoying when you need them charged lol.

Hi does anyone know if this would be fine for the fire fox ep200? as i am looking at buying one soon :)
 Mirko77_Italy 135 points
it depends of motor you are thinking to use... everywhere, if you are using a 2 cells setup, it's good. I'm using Turnigy nano-tech 850mAh. They are great for Firefox EP200. Good luck for your model construction! If it's utile, pls credit

Turnigy 800mAh 2s 20C Lipo Pack is nice you can 2 min. more !
Asad  3 points - 7/25/2012

Hey guys, will it fit in nine eagles 220A free spirit single rotor helicopter. thanks for your reply in advance.
 Mirko77_Italy 135 points
No. Free Spirit uses 1S (only one cell) battery. This is 2S, two cells. both helicopter and his charger are not compatible with this. Pls, credit if it's utile

Could you make these 2S 800's in a size suitable to fit a E-flite blade CX2 & CX3 ?
 Jorge Miguel 8 points
Try using a flightmax , it's a lit bit smaller.
 SimonD 14 points
thanks but these seem the right size - www.link
 Justin 11 points
They fit my Lama V4 perfectly, so yeah should fit your CX2/3 perfectly as well.
 Justin 11 points
If you're asking for these in a different shape, unlikely, however there are many people doing the credit card mod and velcro on the Lama and CX series. Visit a forum, I'm sure you'll find it, or heck, even google it!
 boingk 257 points
You can't modify the cells themselves, but you can usually enlarge the battery space in your plane. This is easy to do with a small, sharp knife or hot foam cutting tool. If it is only 5 to 10mm larger then it will fit if you modify the battery compartment.
 DarK_AlximiK 21 points
Cut it in a half. You'll get 2 cells. Redisign them as you want and don't forget to solder them agin in series.
 Heavy Chevy 84 points
I fly these in my CX3 but you will need to modify your battery area. Like Justin said, visit a forum on rcgroupsdotcom and you will find out all you need to know about a CX3, mine is for sale.

I have a TURNIGY ACCUCELL-6 charger. What setting should I use to charge this battery Turnigy 800mAh 2S 20C Lipo Pack
 Firedog 138 points
Use the "LiPo Charge" mode with "0.8A" charge and "7.4V(2S)" voltage.
 Oracus 76 points
They can be charged at 2c rating so 1.6a lipo setting
 Alex 1 25 points
Yes, without any problem
 Tibor 10 points
Great pack at a great price.
 Justin 11 points
2S Setting * 0.8A
 hp9999 4 points
You can charge them at 800mA and set your charger to charge as Lipo battary
 Justin 11 points
* 0.8A
 boingk 257 points
One amp is the generally regarded maximum charge rate. If you want to prolong your batteries life then charge slowly by using 0.5 or 0.25 amps.
verleihnix  53 points - 6/16/2010

would it be possible that you decrease the shipping weight? The simular Zippy has a shipping weight of 69g.
 Justin 11 points
No.. A battery is a battery, one extra mm can add more grams..
 boingk 257 points
The shipping weight includes any packaging the item has around it (box/padding etc) and will usually be a bit more than the item itself. If this still bothers you you can try looking here on HobbyKing for a similar product from a different brand :D
 Myles 2 points
the only way to decrease the shipping weight, is to ask hobbyking to take out pakaging. but then again, that might not work. Try looking for a lighter battery.
Ben  287 points - 6/14/2009

Looks like these packs have a sensible guage of wire for their capacity unlikes some of the "jumper leads" coming out of a few of the other smaller packs! nice work HK!
 Myles 2 points
yeah they did do a good job. i am getting one to make my redcat racing sumo 1 24 brushless with lipo.

Awsome! now these come with a jst connector instead of the huge deans that were on the zippy's. now they are even more of a bargain!! and seem to perform as well as any that I have tried!!!

Nice little battery fits perfectly into stock Tx. No more need to use 4 "AA" Batteries. Solder on a standard JST Connector and plug this bad boy in and you are good to go. Nice low price and powers my 2.4Ghz Tx. A lot cheaper tan buying 4 "AA" rechargeable batteries. Turnig does it again - a great price and value proposition.

1 thumbs up!
I got my 800 recently and it's doing very well in my Lama V4. I replaced the T-connector with a JST-XH (which now seems to be standard). Did four conditioning cycles now the heli is performing better-than-new.
