this may be a rookie question but do I plug the little plug in the receiver and the bigger plug in thee ecs

No,the small white plug is for balancing the battery when charging,you just use the larger plug with the 2 heavier leads which goes to the ESC,the power for the receiver either comes from the ESC via the BEC,or from a seperate UBEC,or a seperate receiver battery depending on your set up.

Hi the length of my battery door on my mini revo is only 102 theses packs are 104 or the packs measured a lil big or is it a tight fit
