Please advice wich servos to use for 250 helli on cyclic and the tail!
 sharkey9 803 points
You can use 4 of these for swash and tail or 3 of these on swash and a HK-922MG on tail.
 andreas13 71 points
yes you can use 4 servo for 250 heli, 3 for cyclic and 1 for tail ... but you must know the gyro must setting to analog mode gyro, don't use digital mode gyro , you can burn this servo.

i have these servos and the horns from hitec fit them
trexace  6 points - 3/1/2013

These servos are absolute ****! I had 2 out of 4 fail!!!!!
 Bjarki 30 points
Did you use 6v? they only handle 5v without bruning out. i have never had any of these fail, and i have bought more than 18 of them. 2 failed after some time with 6v...
 Ltomi78 43 points
Its interesting: the specification says:
"Operating voltage: 4.8-6.0V "
ehealy  13 points - 2/16/2013

I need to get some servo arm extensions for these servos for the new sukoi. What is the mounting compatible with: hitec, jr or park zone? Thx

Can I run 6 of these on a 3 amp BEC?
 sharkey9 803 points
I wouldn't do that.
 beppo 84 points
Those are small analog servos. It doen't draw very much Amps. As long as You don't jam it all at once Your BEC will work without any problems.
 humbertomelo 189 points
Nathan, it is possible?, yes it is... but 6 metal gear servos consumes almost 3 amps (~0.5 amps per servo). It is better if you put a larger bec... like 5 amps it is more safe.
 Arun 130 points
3 amp bec can only run 4 servos safely.. They may run 6 of these but sometimes you may kill them.. Go for safer side always..

I have a Traxxas Summit and a exceede MaxStone10 and wondered if these will work for steering servos on each of these 1/10 scale trucks?
 da king 39 points
these are way too small for your application my friend. go to servos and parts tab and click on std. servos 31-49g. there you should find a proper size
William  5 points - 1/26/2013

thanks guys very helpfull
William  5 points - 1/26/2013

I purchased these servos and realized they say jr and futaba plugs will these fit into my spectrum reciever if not can I change the plugs or put an adapter on them to fit.
 EricBR 203 points
you can simply cut off the tab in the plug if it doesn't fit the receiver. hk doesn't sell any kind of adapter
 Gregory 25 points
They dont have a tab like the futaba serves so the will fit all receivers just double check the red and black wires are in the same way as your battery or switch wires are I have been using these with an issue on spectrum and futaba

nice for funjet multiplex and 3d flight!!:P

Yeah, fast and strong.

 ASTRECORD 46 points
This servo will work fine on a t-rex 450 , if that you mean by saying
Tom  1 points - 1/12/2013

Does anyone know roughly what the current draw of these servos is ?
tonyastro  11 points - 1/10/2013

My Trex 450 cyclic has TowerPro MG90s. Can I mix these with my TPs? For example 2 TPs and 1 Turnigy?
 sharkey9 803 points
If you open the servo case, you'll see "Tower Pro" inside. So yes, you can :)

This servo maybe use in a tricopter yaw system ?(rcexplorer tricopter)
 EricBR 203 points
i use it as a yaw in a tricopter. no problem at all, but your mechanism have to be very smooth, the motor has to be very easy to move.
BEST ANSWER CREDIT AWARDED
 blackwind 10 points
thanks eric , i use the same motors as david on rcexplorer with the same yaw mechanism.its recomomended other yaw system?
 EricBR 203 points
not at all. i use the dt750 too. the only problem with this mechanism is that you loose the servo in almost every crash. but it works fine, cant complain.

Hello, I lost the screw which is at top of the servo. Where can I get? Thanks
 boristki 53 points
I think you will have to buy another servo that comes with the right screw to be on the safe side. Using different screws that you have lying around can damage the servo, especially if they are too long and go through too far.
 humbertomelo 189 points
Firatp, go to your local hardware store and buy another one... if is too long cut it...
Todd  7 points - 1/8/2013

great servos, I have about 25 of them I think. Peel off the stickers on the sides, rough up the sides with sandpaper and glue them straight to the foam on your foam jet, etc. I have them in a Panther edf, F16 edf, Squall edf, you get the picture.
Janath  16 points - 1/8/2013

travel they have 60
Florian  1 points - 1/5/2013

not digital
wildthawn  241 points - 1/3/2013

anybody know how much travel they have 60 or 180 degrees
 sharkey9 803 points
Around 60 degrees per side.
 wildthawn 241 points
no good for 3d then
Janath  16 points - 1/3/2013

digital
 sharkey9 803 points
Wrong. Not digital.
wildthawn  241 points - 1/3/2013

are these digital or analog
 EfliteBlade400 16 points
MG90s are analog
 sharkey9 803 points
These are analog servos.
orel  7 points - 1/2/2013

is this better compared to the hs-65mg

Better? I think not, but very good regerding its price.

ok because i haVE THEM IN A 15IN 3D plane and i am worried about blowback
 sharkey9 803 points
Well, they can stand 450 heli swash without problems so you should be ok.

They seem super solid when you hold them

These A5030 servos is what they say to put in this kit Super Cub 25e ARF by E-flite I was just wanting to find some that were cheaper Could someone tell me what would work that is cheaper Thanks
 sharkey9 803 points
GWS Park HPX. These are extremely good but cheap servos and should fit. Both versions, JR/Futaba will do the job.
Tex  2 points - 12/27/2012

which servos do I need to replace these with A5030 or JR Sport MN48
 Tank1 279 points
Not sure why you would want to replace these servos for the others as your not saying what it's going to be used with,as in what plane or Heli,i've been using these Turnigy MG servos in my planes and Heli's with great results,IMO they are just as good as some of the other big name ones but at a fraction of the price, they do show the dimensions of the servo in the description if thats what your looking for. :-)

4 of these 9g servos should work Good on HK-250Gt... isnt it!!??
 sharkey9 803 points
Yes and no. I would prefer some other servo on the tail because this one has a small amount of overshoot - that might cause problems on the tail.
Maher  21 points - 12/7/2012

how do you mount these on your plane? it would be nice if i could use the same servos on another plane instead of buying new ones because the old ones are glued to the plane
 EricBR 203 points
just dont glue them. use the screws included.
 sharkey9 803 points
Be careful when using screws. The mounting tabs are extremely flimsy and break often.
 beppo 84 points
I allways wrap the case with shrink tube and then glue it with PU foam glue. If You want to change it You just go and cut off the shrinktube. The servos won't be spoiled.
 al 16 points
Hi, I have found that I wrap the servo with a good grade masking tape and then epoxy it into the plane. If you need to remove it, all you have to do is cut the tape. This way you don't have to ruin the servo with epoxy....Al

Cheap metal servo, but it seem not precise. I can not setup the neutral position for my HK 450 blade pitch.

If you dont like the smell of burnt carbon brushes, DO NOT USE THEM ON 6V! And look what ive discovered. This servo has the same size gear set with hextronik 900 micros. I placed the gears to my 900s and they are working flawlesly now, more precise, faster and i can use them on 6 volts. The only differance cap part is a little high to accept a bearing, so you have to cahange it too. Believe me, you will like the blue black servos, try it...

Tried 2 of these servos in an Electrifly EP-Su31, elevator, and rudder, works ok, but.... too much play in the gears. When you move the horn with your fingers, there is a noticeable amount of play in the geartrain. Also, very noisy operation.
Good price, appear to be digital, but I wouldn't use them in my heli because of this.
Will be changing them out of the aircraft for the HXT 900.

Just got 3 of 'em and shortly tested them. They have on one side a terrible overshoot during fast movements! Be aware of that!
The rest seems ok at a short look.
