Does the knob on this allow you to have a camera tilt channel to slowly move cam on gimbal ?

I'll try again... My R617FS FASST 7-Ch Receiver now lives up a tree on the golf course opposite my house. The tree also stole my Bixler but I've resigned to the fact there's little chance of getting either back. So I need to find a replacement 4, 5 channel receiver to fill the void. Do you have any suggestions? Cheers guys

Just press the "mode" and "end" buttons while turning the radio on. There will appear an option for language swapping.

I need a battery upgrade for this transmitter. Can i use Rhino 2620mAh 3S 11.1v Low-Discharge Transmitter Lipoly Pack On this transmitter?
 Heliwind 8 points
Guess you cant. It's too high voltage. I actually use ZIPPY Flightmax 1800mAh 9.9V 5C LiFePo4 TX Pack. Fits tight but can be easily get out for charging. Need to change plug

Hello, My FPV gear can travel around 3km - 6km (1.8ml - 3.6ml). Could a controller like this reach the plane at that distance? If not, what is needed? Thanks
 richwizard 648 points
with this tx you will get around 2-2.5 km, if you want to make longer distance, just use higher db for the antenna, actually i want to try to use WiFi router antenna for expand the range, i will tell you if my project working. :)

Have a nice day.
best regards, RichWizard

is this tx able for aeroplane ? how long this range ? and how many memories model?
 Julio Gadioli 133 points
1)Yes, it is able for planes. 2)The range is as far as you can see, something about 2,5 KM. 3)There is 10 models in the memory. Please, choose my answer as the best answer!
 Juliano 2 points
The radio Futaba 7c have so much selection for Aero to Heli as your system is capable of storing 10 models in memory. Its average range is about 1.5 miles. (2 km). This model has the advantage of almost immunity to the large number of radio stations transmitting simultaneously. The disadvantage is due to the delay in case of loss of signal, the system usually takes about one second to detect the signal again. I advise you to buy, because it is a great radio!
 haydent 121 points
yes it is capable of plane config, but the throttle is not ratcheted like the mode 1.
 RBOLETTO 84 points
Haydent you are wrong, every HELI model com with no ratch, mode 1 and mode 2 chance the flight controls side, "throtle side".

Hello, How to setup RTH on this radio? I know failsafe, on this radio, is just on chanel 3. I have FY21AP and can't make it to work.
 lap80 13 points
As described in manual i think problem could be in one of the switch channel of FY21AP, it is recomended never leave switch channel opend, it could lead to improper autobalance of its modes. Since 7c has only one 3pos switch, you will always have one of the FY21AP channels in opened. Try to assign switch in1 and switch in2 on different rates between 2 or 3 pos switches to be able to accept desired mode.

Hello. I don`t understend is this universal transmitter or ONLY heli?
 lap80 13 points
It is both for heli and plane, it is possible to choose through its menu what setup you need for your model.
 aka 11 18 points
it work on plane and heli also
 Juliano 2 points
Este rádio tem um modo de seleção tanto para Heli quanto para Aero! bons voos *D
 haydent 121 points
yes it is capable of plane config, but the throttle is not ratcheted like the mode 1.
andre  3 points - 8/2/2011

what is the difference between model 1 and model 2? Model 2 can be used in airplane?
 lap80 13 points
In model 2 throttle is on the left stick, in model 1 trottle is on the right stick, both of them is for plane and heli. Radio allow to apply different setup within its own options for heli or for plane.
 Juliano 2 points
Mode 2 is a standard radio in which the motor is driven by the command ailerons are right, so the rudder and elevator are actuated by the control law. And so is the opposite of a mode 2.
andre  3 points - 8/2/2011

this radio can be used in airplane? or is it only for helicopter. want to buy one, but I'm in doubt
 KKArioKA 163 points
it works for both, you have to program through menus on the radio and setup different tension on Throttle if you want.
Ettienne  25 points - 5/15/2011

I would like to buy this radio but have never seen it in stock and i have checked regularly. I have asked hobbyking this question but they did not answer as well.
Why advertise it if you are not going to stock it
 Bollie 8 points
I know what you mean, I put my order in over a month ago thinking that it should be in soon but still nothing. My other transmitter died so I'm grounded until I get it. Having to feed the rc addiction with a simulator at the moment and it's just not the same.
 Ettienne 25 points
Hi

I have even used their online support and got the same answer 39-90 days and support does not have any way of telling when it will be avaialable

Anyone know when will this be on stock again? I've been watching the stock since before Christmas and nothing. I have one on backorder and the wait is killing me. If anyone knows anything please post.
 spirit7 100 points
same as me >>> i am thinking to cancel my order and ask for money back to me >>> hk ???
 ejianu 14 points
I already canceled my 7C order and got the money back. If your order is older than 60 days you will have to wait a week or so to get the money back from PayPal. But I got the money back and now I have the 7C from a local store (a bit more expensive though). Hope this helps.
 spirit7 100 points
emanuel ... great i will do the same as you .. my order less than 60 days ... you help me a lot thank you

Hey! Why don't u modify your order change your order to the same item but (mode 2). I also had decided to change it.

Hello everyone,

Is it possible to connect 7C to a PC? If it is, what type of conection does it use? Is the cable for the connection suplied in the box with the 7C? Does it need any drivers? Are the drivers supplied?

Thank you,
Emanuel
 spirit7 100 points
you can find on epay by less than $ 15
hope this helps
 Juliano 2 points
Yes, you need a "cable simulator", so will have to get their hands on a simulator and install on your pc to be able usalo. You do not need drivers for tx, the simulator offering own interface with the radio.

Reply to the third reviewer:
It has both heli and plane programming.
The heli model just defaults to heli mode when setting up a new model. Use the parameter menu to choose ACRO and all is well.

Awesome radio, bought it somewhere else last year (at double the price, grr).

A word of warning, HK ships the European plug charger (230V), not the US plug charger... Four stars because there is no way to select the US adapter and you must buy it separately elsewhere.

This is the Futaba 7C 2.4GHz Helicopter Radio System
with the R617FS FASST 7-Channel Receiver and no servos.
This is the helicopter version which will default to heli settings when powered up and does not have a (((ratcheted )))throttle stick.
HK we want the airplane version which will default to airplane settings when powered up and has a ((ratcheted)) throttle stick.

Awesome Radio. I have had one for a while now bought from elsewhere but this is one all star radio.
The Rhino and Zippy transmitter Lipo's work great in it which is good because the stock Nicad pack only lasts about 1h30m of non stop use.
Dial-N-Key is a great improvement over the 6EX.
The Rx is also low current drain too so more power for servos. Get this radio!!!
