anyone knows if i would get better resault with this futaba9257 with hk401b gyro than turnigy ds480? ds480 has 0.068sec speed.

anybody use this with the hk401b gyro? i'm thinking of buying this one for 450pro but i'm also interested on turnigy ds480. any recommendation on which servo is better considering say 50/50 price and quality?

s9257 is a great tail servo, i am using it with align gyro on HK500cmt , may be a bit big for 450 heli, maybe look at something in 9 to 12g size

Big for a 450? This is exactly right size for the rudder on a 450Pro.

I have 6 volt and need a step-down voltregulator to 4,8-5,1 volt, I can not find it anywhere on Hobbyking's website!?

this is one of the most chosen 450 tail servo's! a good servo for the 450 cyclic are hitec hs-65 with the karbonite gears. though i still have hxt900 servo's on my hk450 i plan to get 65's on the hk450pro when it is released!

I bought this Servo for my HK 450 pro TT and I found out that you are not able to run at 6V. you need a voltage step down to 4.8V. dose anybody know if hobby king has such a thing because I can't find them anywhere. on the site.
I read on a few forms that some people are running them with out the step down and they are not having and problem but I don't want to take the chance deaking with a crash i could have prevented.
but the Servo fits nice and snug in my HK450pro TT I cant wait to try it out thanks

Where can i buy 4.8 voltage step down? I have the align 5.1 step down but is it safe to use? I burned up a power HD3688HB servo recently with Align's 5.1 step down hooked up from gyro to servo.

Update: according to Futaba customer service 5.2 volts is fine for the S9257. Their PS10 (FUTM0961) step down only regulates voltage down to 5.2 volts

Is this much better then a MKS DS480, its much more expensive, slower and with plastic gears?

Probably still the best tail-servo for 450-500 class helis at unbeatable price... Add-to-cart.

Works perfectly also as CCPM servo for 500-class copter. I have 4 of these in MSH Protos and this servo will make T-Rex 500/HK-500 pretty sharp mover. compared to "prices-starting" servos.

This is an excellent servo for the tail gyro. You can't go wrong with this product. It is fast and keeps the tail rock solid. Excellent Futaba quality and recommended for those who want a quality servo
