I guess not, but does this or any kind of this profile 3d planes have detachable wings for easy transportation?
 k.smith459 52 points
not That i know of, You woul probably have to modify one with some carbon and Brass tubes Plus some Elastic bands to hold on the wings or the Alternative would be PRODUCT ID: 9420000001 Which is a Full Fuse EPP Edge 540 with Detrachable Wings... Keenan CR pls if you find this helpful

I just finished putting the plane together and I love it, but the only problem is that the motor got quite hot after thirty seconds and anything over forty percent throttle the engine started making a whistling noise. I am using a 20 amp ESC and a 2s 460Mah battery. Please let me know if I should use a different prop then the one it came with and what size and pitch propeller I should use to avoid burning out the motor and reduce the motor noise. I will issue credit. Thanks.
 Jan Inge 29 points
I don't really have an answer for you but I'm using the stock motor and 8x4 propellers with a 12A plush ESC. I don't have a problem with the motor getting unusually hot or noises. Perhaps it's just a bad motor? I think the only option you have going down in propeller size would be 6x3 which I think would be a bit to small. You can always change the motor? Thanks, I issued credit, I put in a different motor and now it flies great, I would buy it again for the frame alone when this one starts breaking down, and replacement motor are dirt cheap on hobbyking if I end up with another bad motor. The fact that the motor was functioning made me look elsewhere for the problem in the beginning.

What exponential percentages are for this plane? I can't seem to get to the instruction manuals. :(

How many amps does the motor draw with the 8x4 prop on 2s or 3s
 Rubnorris 126 points
2s should be fine and safe. 3s is kinda warm.

What is the weight the whole without electronic?
Tnks...
 sweetstik 55 points
just finished building one. all up it is 230 grams so without the electronics 100 gram would be a fair guess

What thickness of foam?

What kind of glue to use on EPP ?
 Stayning 20 points
Use uhu por, or foam safe CA.
 sweetstik 55 points
PVA [any white wood working glue]is all you need.

only for training it is too heavy but flys great
Pascal  1 points - 2/15/2011

Why is this kit so heavy?
 vasy1 605 points
It is not heavy. If you mean shipping weight, that is how heavy it is as the box is way heavier than the plane.
 Pascal 1 points
yes but 1.6kg for some pieces of epp, CF, motor and a box is really excessive. It is more than 10x the weight of the plane RTF...
 vasy1 605 points
no, only 5 times. And yes, the boxes are heavy. I just got a similar plane in the mail and the shipping weight was with in a few grams of HK weight. Cardboard is heavier then foam, that is why they don't make planes out of it :)
 makis 38 points
because of the motor
 Stayning 20 points
The card board box is heavy.
Nice plane...
 Andreas 1 points
It's a bit confusing maybe, but the shipping weight/cost is calculated in volume, so most of the times it has nothing to do with product weight. That's way a light product with a rather big volume has a high "weight"

there is no manual in the package and iam a newbie in build this models. Can anyone helpe me with a step by step manual to build the plane?
 kathy 6 points
I believe there's a step by step build on youtube

I'm an experienced RC pilot but new to indoor 3D. Is this a good airplane to start on?
 rcflyboynj 48 points
It is ok, but is more of a pattern plane. If you get it, have an experienced indoor pilot help you with the set up. It is EPP, but doesn't look like it would stand up to crashes very well. If you want something more durable, check out a yak of an edge from ***********e-foamy****/. Good Luck!

190-210 grams is awful heavy for an F3P aircraft. I'm assuming that is atleast what this model is partially intended for since it takes many of it's design cues from such aircraft. It would be a bit of a shame if it was merely a dolled-up 3D model. Lets see something like this with a 135 gram flying weight!
 Blind Vision 437 points
Is be cause it is made of EPP and not DEPRON like the lightest ones are.

in France we can have epp sheet 5mm with density 20kg/m3 and depron with 35kg/m3 but 3mm difference is very little...

1 thumbs up!
This is the same plane as the techone spirit,Flys very well and can be set up below 6oz auw with very light gear. The dual aileron servos allow for precise control and differential fine tuning. I have several flights on mine and it flys great at 7.1oz but floats even better in the 6oz range now with the turnigy 2204-14T outrunner on a 2s 500mah lipo. Heres some video of my first flights with www.link

I just received this model and looked it over. It's well thought out and the instructions are good. I've flown other planes like this, so I'm looking forward to flying this one.
