More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech lithium polymer batteries are built with an LiCo nano-technology substrate complex greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance. In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery. For those that love graphs, it means a straighter, longer curve. For pilots it spells stronger throttle punches and unreal straight-up performance. Excellent news for 3D pilots!
Unfortunately with other big brands; numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!
Suited to the following models: 6S: MIKADO LOGO500, ALIGN T-REX550/600, GAUI X5, Outrage 550, Hirobo SDX6S x 2: MIKADO LOGO600SE, HENSELEIT TDR, RJX X-TREME90EP, Rave 90 ENV FBL, Avant eAurora90, JR Airskipper E12, Kasama Srimok 90E, HIROBO Shuttle Plus+2, HIROBO Eagle3 EP, JR Vibe 90SG E12, Joker 3
* The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives. 1) The nanometer conductive additives form ultrastrong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity. 2) These additives create a superstrong ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion. Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly. Advantages over traditional Lipo batteries. Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg. Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load. Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mΩ compared to that of 3mΩ of a standard Lipoly. Greater thermal control, pack usually doesnt exceed 60degC Thickness swelling during heavy load doesnt exceed 5%, compared to 15% of a normal Lipoly during heavy load. Higher capacity during heavy discharge. More than 90% at 100% C rate. Fast charge capable, up to 15C on some batteries. Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.
hi guys. im wondering if the mah value determines the flight time? does more mAh means more time for longer flight? and how do i know if the esc can take the amount of mAh?
mAh stands for milli amp hours.
and its a measure of how long a battery will last at a given power.
as long as you keep under the maximum voltage you will be fine, more mAh wont hurt anything, it will actualy run better
I have purchased a Variable-65 balance charger. I cannot get the charger to recharge this battery. Every time I set it to 6 Cell, it tells me the battery is a 5 cell and there is an error. What settings do I need on the charger please?
Don't know if you still have the batteries David, but I had that problem, and it was because one of the balance charge leads was lose. It also could be a bad cell. Try fast charging it without plugging in the balance lead. It may work for you, but don't over charge the battery.
I would like to know if the charge rate is correct. 5c would be 25 amp charge rate. Or do they mean 5c is 5 amp charge rate. I usually charge all my stuff at 1c. If the charge rate is correct I would only need two battery's for my plane, due to the fact they charge fast.
The symbol C stands for capacity, then in charge 5c for 5 equal means 5A 25A, can set, if we get the charger, 25A, the theory of a battery charging time is reduced by 5 times.
I hope this helps good flights Michael.
Has anyone tried these on a HK500GT? I´*m wondering if I should buy these or the 4000mah ones. I only hover and I want the best flying time possible. Any andvices will be appreciated!
If you can put them under the canopy as well use them, your flight time will increase for sure. The only problem and the weight is too much, I use batteries from 2600 to 3300 6s times ranging from 4 to 6 minutes. Michael good flight
To charge this at 5C youre going to need getting on for 50AMPS !! (from a 12Volt supply allowing for voltage doubling and no losses. Therefore to be realistic you will need to design a 24 Volt, input, charger rated at about 600 watts
There's a brand called IOTA which I think makes a 24v power supply. I looked into it a while back but I can't justify spending that much money just for a faster charge.

This pack definitely get's a thumbs up from me. I did 2 discharges on 4 of these packs over sand dunes.. FULL Throttle on 1/8 scale buggy and truggy. Running the Hobbywing 150A combo. Ambient temp was 91F and batteries never went over 109F. And showed no sigh of puffing. Extremely impressed in that regards. However They also lost significant thrust after initial burst. Meaning they don't seem to hold load voltage as well as advertised.

SIZE CORRECTION.
THIS BATTERY IS 150mm LONG.. NOT 169 AS REPORTED
PICTURE IS WRONG TOO.
4 stars since punch isn't quite there. compared to Turnigy 35C batteries.
