More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech lithium polymer batteries are built with an LiCo nano-technology substrate complex greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance.
In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery. For those that love graphs, it means a straighter, longer curve. For pilots it spells stronger throttle punches and unreal straight-up performance. Excellent news for 3D pilots!
Unfortunately with other big brands; numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!
Hi on my esc on my e revo I have just purchased used it has the male 4mm bullet is on the black wire and the female on the red so I would like to no what wire the male and female bullets are connected to on this battery. Thanks
my dji F550 HEXA gets 12 minits of flight easy with a standard 5000mah lipo *)
But i would have to say around 15 minits with a stock quad and a new battery..., but be carefull not to run the lipos down past the 20% capacity , use your radios timer to keep track of your time in the air,,, start off with 12 minit flights and see how many MAH you use , and adjust your flight time accordingly. (( you should use no more than 4000MAH of your battery per flight ))
Yes, 6 30A ESC's will draw 180 amps, and these batteries will provide 225-450 amps. It's always a good idea to use a battery that will put out more amps than your ESC rating. Your ESC will not pull more amps than whats rated, making an easier lifetime for your battery.
Has anyone got any tips or tricks on soldering(or soddering for the Americans) these big battery wires, i'm using an 80w soldering iron and can't manage to tin the wire without heating the pack too much.
When I solder the 8AWG stuff i wrap the cable bundle up with thin stainles locking wire a few times (to stop it spreading out) as solder won't stick to it. then get a big a$$(200w ) iron and crank in the heat... the more power the iron you have, the quicker you get it done, which means less battery heat due to transfer. Of course this means its easier to make a mess beacause you have to work so quick but if a man with 10 thumbs can do it (me) then you can too. God hates a coward, best of luck
What i do is get a pair of surgical clamps and clamp the battery wire about 3-4 inches from the pack and put some flux on what ever you are soldiering to absorb it. make sure its corrosive free flux. cant guaranty it but it works for me. hope it helped
Why are this Batterys using 10AWG Kabels and 4mm connectors? The NOT nanot tech 40C turigy batterys are having 8AWG(more thick) Kables and 5,5 bullet connectors? The nano tech should be able to deliver more current....
Yes, you're right! In fact, when I arrived, I immediately changed the connectors and I soldered the contacts from 5.5 mm Gold Polimax. They are very good, think on my hull exhaust to 150 amps with no problems. Giovanni
yes but watch the battery temps......I run 2 in 6s and they are starting to puff geared 16/68 in e-maxx brushless Iwill see if warentee is real or if I get shafted
yo tengo 4 de estas y te recomiendo las turning 5000mah y 40c las nanotech despues de 4 ciclos pierden bastante rendimiento de descarga por calidad y precio te recomiendo las turning
I run two of these in my Monster Mamba system on my e-revo. Iv gone asfar down as 21p/40s and dont 66mph runs and my system is good. Packs have served me for over a year and still going strong and no puff or unbalancing.
Could someone please recommend a good connector to be used with this battery's discharge plug? I'd like to buy some from HK, but I'm not sure which one will be a best fit.
I guess XT60s are not good enough for this much of power...
The best connector for this battery would depend on the amount of amps your setup is pulling. I would assume that you bought these 45-90C batteries for a high amp draw setup since these batteries can deliver over 200A continuous. The very least I would recommend would be 5.5mm bullet connectors, but I run 8mm on my high amp draw boat. Deans type connectors or only good up to 60A.
Will this battery fit into a savage flux battery tray. i'm extremely concerned about the 59mm width as i am pretty sure the width of the battery tray is only 50mm. thank you
yes, they fit perfectly. I'm using two of these in my savage flux. These are the best batteries I've ever put in it, amazing power, backflips at 25mph.
How come that they come with 4mm connectors they can only hand 93 amps, if I use this battery at it normal 45C rate it will give me 225 amps and the connector will proably melt.....
/Martin
Why are the packs different widths for the 3s 5000mah and the 4s 5000mah? 3s is 59mm and the 4s is the normal 50mm. are they made with different 5000mah cells?
"Mauricio D (88%)
cause they are not the normal lipo"
Duh!! i was asking why they were made 25mm longer? they should have keep to the standard size of old lipos, if they were smart they would have... because now you need new helis, planes, cars, boats, and trucks so they can fit the nice quick charging lipos.
Size is 155mm x 49mm x 27mm. Weight 459 g. Arrived in perfect condition in wrap with box. All cells at 3.80. Charged to full with NO puff at all. Fit perfect in E-Revo with only slight dremmel to get the huge 8GA wires out. Very difficult to change connectors as you will need a high power soldering iron to work this wire. The power is massive compared to 30C 5.8Ah Flightmax. Huge punch whenever you want. Cold to the touch after hard session.

The applaction that i use them for is 6s 1p outrigger hydroplane i have compaired them to a verry well known high performance brand on a back to back test in racing conditions the resaults of that test showes that these cells at this time dont hold there voltage very well at 145 amps continus but this may improve as i pute more cycles on them i will report more when i'v hade more time on them.

Well, I just received these yesterday. Unfortunately my Mamba Monster in my E-revo just blew a cap so I was unable to test them. What I can say is that they WILL fit into the revo battery trays, as well as the Slash 4x4 tray. But you will have to modify the door of the Revo to accept the massive 8 gauge wires, which are unnecessary. My batteries came extremely well packaged and pretty quick with ems. Ill post another review when I run them!
