So what do I do about my current Hyperion OPTO 80A ESC?As far as I know I will have to replace it with one that is LiFe voltage compatible. But those are very expensive,so I suppose that since HK is coming out with LiFe packs they will have to start supplying LiFe compatible ESC's?
if your esc is not compatible with LiFe you can use the nimh program to run your LiFe pack and disable LVCut . don't forget to set a timer(buzz) to remind you the emptiness of your batteries . cheers
Which (male?) connector(s) do I have to buy to connect to the (5.5mm Bullet-Connector) discharge Plug of the ZIPPY Flightmax 4200mAh 5S1P 30C LiFePo4 Pack?
With bullet connectors you don't buy male or female discharge plugs. One side of a plug is male and the other side female for polarity. The plastic insulators have a male and female side also. For the ESC connector, you make it the opposite of the battery connector. For example if the battery has the female bullet connector in the male side of the insulator and male bullet in the female side, your ESC plug will have the female bullet in the female side of the insulator, and the male bullet in the male side of the insulator.
Lifepo4 will not rapidly degrade after 2 years and are also much safer. The later point of particular importance to the trike riders with batteries under their seats.
make sure to break in the Life battry, else will result in puffing, good value for money, safe to use.

Don't waste your money. Bought one of these and it puffed up within a few weeks before I even got to fly them. Lipos and A123s stored with them are still in great shape. Wasted $50.
