We thought existing flybarless head upgrades were too expensive. So what did we do? We made our own! The HobbyKing 450 Flybarless Head upgrade system will bolt straight on to most T-Rex 450 or compatible helis. Just take note of your shaft diameter. All parts are precision machined for a good fit. Why so cheap you ask? Because we make it ourselves!
You will need a flybarless electronic stabalisation system, like the one shown in our related products at the bottom of this listing.
Spec. Shaft size: 5mm Feathering Shaft: 4mm Kit includes all parts shown in part image. Rotor head is required.
I have the HK-450GT PRO V2 with flybar. Will this work to convert it to flybarless with a 3-Axis Gyro Flybarless System ? Did not see a question on the HK-450GT PRO V2. It flys great but I would just like a little more stabilization. If it doesn't fit exactly what will I need. I don't want to spend too much time or have to buy too many parts to upgrade when the flybarless kit is only around 70 usd. Please help.
Anyone else find the blade grips have WAY too much play?
I got it all together great kit, then mounted my blades and I noticed with blades in there is around 10mm vertical play at the tips... The bearings just don't seem to be wide enough to fit snugly in the blade holders...
Any hints? I have rechecked and I have used all parts in the correct order... my plastic HK450v2 grips that this replaces are super stiff in comparison
I also need the bolt that attaches the plastic swashplate link to MST0036.
None of these parts could be salvaged from the flybar, as this parts kit was not made for retrofitting this particular (HK 450 GT Pro) model to make it flybarless.
I am looking for those parts, otherwise I will just buy a whole assembled flybarless head and give it up to experience.
I am trying to put this head on an HK 450 GT Pro (belt drive version). The parts that I am missing are the ones that attach to part# MST0036. In particular the plastic swashplate link and the washer and bolt that fastens part MST0036 to MST0039.
i think it's pretty awesome for an upgrade for just under $10, i already have a T-bar, but am quite skeptic to use it on my Rexy 600, but will try to hook it up to the HK450. Thanks HK for the cheap and fair prices.
Nice quality and finishing. Initially i thought that the quality wont be so good at that price but guess i was wrong. Haven't actually tested these on my heli so can't say anything about how well they would perform.
ordered this one after Ive ordered the other FBL head HK sells here which came without the extended arms. this way it's cheaper as ordering Align arms only!
