F-18 EDF 90mm Jet Fiberglass 920mm (ARF)

F-18 EDF 90mm Jet Fiberglass 920mm (ARF)
F-18 EDF 90mm Jet Fiberglass 920mm (ARF)

The F-18 was designed as a carrier based supersonic all-weather fighter/ground attack aircraft, which has been such a succesful design, the Hornet is flown by several airforces around the world. The F-18 features a high thrust/weight ratio and outstanding dogfighting capability courtesy of it's excellent arodynamic design. Having carved out a reputation for versatility and reliability, as well as earning as impressive combat record, the F-18 Hornet can be truly regarded as an aviation classic.

This stunning model does the F-18 justice both in terms of looks and performance, finished in the famous "Jolly Rodger" scheme, the fuselage features nicely moulded panel lines and excellent scale mouldings for the vertical stabilizers. The wing is foam core/balsa sheet and the large ailerons combined with the large all-moving tail means F-18 like maneoverability. The model comes with fixed under-carriage but is easily converted to retracts.

The Hornet is a fast jet and with the right set up, this model won't disappoint, this F-18 will need a 6s~8s set up to get the best from it, high speed is the name of the game but just as addictive are the "high alfa" slow passes, a superb flyer and a real looker, this big Hornet is a must for jet fans.

Would this plane be faster than my star max with the same alloy dps 1900kv fan/motor that hobby king sells here? It's a lander edge unit I believe. Anyone compare this to the star max 90mm f/a 18c hornet?
 F100CUFFLINK 888 points
NO FLAPS ,As far as converting it to twin ,I would not try it I think you would wast your time and effort doing so , also there may not be enough room for the other stuff , like the other ESC and if you running 2 lipo's or one larger ,it may not plan out to work the way you want to do it. I thonk a single 90mm alloy fan will give you more power than you need , go with the 8S system if you want speed. SOUNDS GREAT TO ME . I HAVE A BIG PHANTOM 90MM.
 F100CUFFLINK 888 points
OPPS WRONG GUY THIS WAS FOR BELOW. BUT YOU don't have flaps in this .
Paul  1 points - 4/13/2013

Does anyone think you can convert this plan to fit twin edf units? Also does it have flaps? From the pictures it looks like a no go.
 Paul 1 points
Sorry mates, must have been late when I wrote this. I ment RUDDER very sorry for the confustion.

Hello, Does this includes all wheels and retracts?
 Luke 23 points
only fixed landing gear, you have to find and buy retracts separate.
Melvin  1 points - 3/15/2013

does any body know the scaleing of this F18 90mm, ie 1:?, thanks Mel
Melvin  1 points - 3/13/2013

Hi there, looking at ways to improve this awesome bird, it seems that the flaps are being used as ailerons, going to modify the wings and introduce alierons also working rudders, so in short it has flaps, ailerons, rudders, and of course elevators, also retracts, looking at HK slim wing servos for some of this, also fitting HK 90mm mercury alloy EDF, has any body done these mods, what parts did you use, its a bit of work but it can and will be done, Mel.
 F100CUFFLINK 888 points
I don't think so , I see them (other companies) do this on a F4 FHANTOM, THE AILORONS ARE INBOARD ,Im NOT SURE Y THEY DO THAT.

Hy everybody I bought the fibre F/A 18 ,but i have got it without any building instructions. So i need to know the CG point. Thank`s for help and well flights all the time Cheers Reto
 Gary 3001 points
The C of G point is 80mm back from the leading edge where the wing meets the fuselage. In the "Files" section, the tab under "Add to Cart" there is a building manual and a good picture showing how to measure the C of G.
ARINAS  91 points - 1/13/2013

for tx setup, i will recommended to start with values as below: Elevator throws 15 mm up 15mm down. Use 50% exponential. Low rate 9mm. Ailerons throws 13 mm up 13 mm down. Use 30% exponential. Low rate 8mm.

Dear SIr im Thomas From malaysia i like to try this Plan F-18 EDF 90mm Jet Fiberglass 920mm (ARF)But is my 1st time try to fly this plan!!!! so i really DUn how to fix it how use it, plzz let know what is TX/RX and whar else i got to buy....to get this plan air bond
 ARINAS 91 points
nak senang, boleh hubungi fon sya terus. u tinggal dmana?
 EZflight 40 points
for the tx and rx, better buy the 9x turnigy mode 2, and module FRSKY (use/buy JR type module), you wont go wrong with this tx and rx. a very good and cheap radio and rx.
 Straight Up 743 points
Thomas, if you do not have a Tx then I suspect you have not flown RC before. This is not the right plane to learn to fly RC.
 EZflight 40 points
I have flown Foamy jet, I don't have any idea what are the flight characteristic and behavior of fiber glass jet? is it better than foamy? what is the stall speed, 1/4 throttle or 1/2? nose dive with out recover?
 Straight Up 743 points
Totally different. Don't do it.
 F100CUFFLINK 888 points
correct if you have not flown EDF than you need to learn on a easy typ of plane to fly try some thing simple first.

Sorry If I'm missing the answer to this q already See Ive bought the 90mm viper jet and flown it ONCE and the paint has pealed and chips soooo easy That ive already taken all the gear out and given up on it, Id like to set this one up instead But if the paint peals the same way them i will consider it another waist of money So my Q is. Is there any issues with this plane pealing paint badly like the viper jet dose?
 trexace 6 points
yes it will peal its not good paint!!

if i go for6s can i have over thrust?
 F100CUFFLINK 888 points
IT CALLS FOR 6S -8S .IT WOULD BE FINE NO PROBLEM just make sure you have the ESC correct for the 8s if you decide to go more than the 6s,use a good brand ESC it make a differance on quality electronics. and servo's for the controls.
giorgi22bm  64 points - 4/25/2012

wwhat is the best setup for this model 6s or 8s combo?
 gsantos 257 points
8s with a powerfull motor you get much more performance. You only need to choose the right motor.

 trexace 6 points
this plane is heavy so i would do 8s minimum for bunge 10s or 12s with landing gear to fly well.

What is the correct C of G . My instructions say 9cm from LE. Old Prodesign instructions say 80mm from LE . Watch my video on youttube and you can see I planted my F 18E because it was too tail heavy at 90mm!!!!*******youtu.be/gyjGNaTF4ZQ

Rocketboy1030 my manual says ""The idea C.G. position is 80mm behind the leading edge measured at where the wing meets the fuselage. Adjust the battery position to obtain the correct C.G. Check the C.G. before flying."" Do you have a manual??? I hope it helps. Can you fix her SORRY

What is the best landing gear for this plane? Do i find it, here in HK?
 boostoman 315 points
Im using the DSR-46TL Electric Trike Retract Set www.link out my build blog on this plane on the forums I will be receiving my landing gear in the next few days and I will be showing you pics on how it is installed.

OK. i´*ve received mine last week. Take a look at *************, there is one i think fits on F-18

Undecided between this and the Mig-15 90mm. What has the better wing loading for slower landings. f-18 or Mig-15 Is a 6S5000 too heavy for this bird?
 boostoman 315 points
the F-18 should have lower wing loading due to the extra wing area around the front of the fuselage.
 boostoman 315 points
plus the plane looks so much better. you can install a 6S5000 lipo and it would fly . i will be starting a build thread on the HK forums for this
 boostoman 315 points
i started a build blog if you want more details of the plane www.link

Has someone really bought this treasure?
My impression is that this one and Viper Jet remain always on Backorder. I feel really frustrated as I wanted to buy one of them, but don't want to pay in advance for undefined time period.
 boostoman 315 points
i have just received my F-18 jet and all i have to say is wow. the quality of the build is amazing and it only took 10 days to reach me since i placed the order. i also have the viper jet on back order since 22-04 and have received it yet and i really want to cancel the viperjet order but since i waiting this long I wouldn't mind waiting longer.

How long have you waited for your F-18? I can understand the logistic latency, but each time I look at HK site this itel is on BK.

this birdie is back in stock(1/8/2011) and i buy one. such a beautifull plane.
don't miss youre chances to do it also :-)
 Nicolas 21 points
I have taken one of course. Let's see what it is in reality.
 gromuluss 219 points
The pics make the wing look very thick. Is it fast like the viper jet? Or is it s slug? Also its missing the missiles The sidewinders make this plane look really awesome

someone who already bought this plane and make a good set up can help me please?
can you refer me on what to buy to make this plane a good flyer? servos, motor, esc, battery? i m always buying rtf jet before. so i don t have any idea about motor and other electronic component. i want maximum thrust with the original 90 mm fan.
thank you for your help.
Steve
 vasy1 605 points
have you tried reading any of the messages below?
all the suggestions are there.
setup is 100amp 8s capable esc, arc 75-36-1 motor, 15gram metal gear servos around 2.5kg torque, 4000-5000 4s lipos setup in pair as 8s pack.
just no info on retract yet bud ds-46 should just given the final weight of the bird.
you can go with 120 amp esc and 10s with a 3500-4000 Nah lipos and same motor or if you wanna be safe, take the 1500kv version.
it Will be fast either way.
 steve 27 points
thank you to take time to answer me. yes i tryed to read older post. but i m little bit loose in the discussion on what to put in the plane. i have 0 experience in building a plane whit servo and motor separatly.
is it a good servo for this plane: www.link the motor, i don t find anything with a search of arc 75-36-1 motor. can you give me a lien please. or i read that The Warhead 3545-1850KV from HK is = to the original one from proedf. but 67-36 mm will fit? and it look to be b.o.
thank you again for your help.
Steve
 vasy1 605 points
Sorry, my bad. Arc 36-75-1 for 8s. google it.
Arc 36-65-1 for 6s. But 8s will be much nicer setup and draw less amps.
Warhead 3545 might do the trick but it has been out of stock for a long time. Arc 36-65-1 will be faster anyway. But you can also go with Alloy DPS Series 90mm EDF unit with 1900kv from hobby king. I've ordered that one for my L-39 but is still to receive it.
Too bad can't link in here :)
For servos search HK for model: 929. you will see 4 choices. All will work, what ever is in stock. Can also use bms-385 or Turnigy 380MAX.
Stick with SuperBrain 100 amp esc. It can handle 12s and seems to work very well.
Make sure to have a good UBEC in your model. HK has plenty to choise.
 steve 27 points
thank you!
i find the arc 36-65-1 for 125$ on internet. lot of place this item is sold out!!! this is a popular motor.
i will take the bms385 servo. in the description it said that it will take 3 x High Torque MG Mini/Park Servo
plus 2 regular servo. bms385 are the regular one?
did i understand write about ubec? this is for give the good amperage and voltage to the receiver because the big battery? and anykind of them will do the job?
about the motor, it s state that is for 5-6 cells, you are sure that it can hold 8 cells voltage?
your help is very appreciate. thank you again!
Steve
 vasy1 605 points
arc 36-65-1 - 6s
arc 36-75-1 - 8s

I think chuckshobbies had some in stock. i wich HK would carry this motor line.
After reading some recent reviws for the bms-385, i'd stay away, mabe new batch is bad. Stick with 929mg or the other servors listed under recomended list above.
For the ubec, search for: SBEC-40V or similar.
Just make sure they can take 8s input and of a good quality.
 ozgurselin 26 points
steve and vasy1, Both ARC motors are heavy, because of that the bare airframe also heavy, we must keep the plane as light as possible. Also consider to use additional Rx battery instead of ubec. In my opinion 7S system (4S 3S in serial) caan be the optimum solution for to save weight.
 vasy1 605 points
Ethem Ozgur, your comments are not with out merit, weight is always an issue.
Maybe going with arc 36-65-1 with a 7s would be a sweet ride, or with lighter Warhead on 7s if it can take it.
I think arc motor are heavy because they use good parts. They seem to work for many people and have proven themselves to be a good alternative to motors twice their price.
I suppose using or not using a ubec is a matter of choice, both have their advantages, one with weight another with reliable power in case of main lipo trouble.
I suggested proven setup with no trial and error that can be expensive in this hobby. :)
 steve 27 points
thank you! but too late, the arc motor is ordered. anyway, i want maximum power possible.
thank you!
 vasy1 605 points
update us on your results. if you ordered 75 motor. stick it on 9s for a small boost in speed compare to 8s.
 steve 27 points
sure i will let you know how this f18 fly with your set up. and i will put my first flight on youtube. thank you again!
i will probably begin whit 8s and if it is not enought upgrade for 9 or 10s
can you tell me if the turnigy sentilon 100a hv5-12s besc is good for my set up? i don t find the one you suggest me on hobby king.
thank you!
Steve
 vasy1 605 points
by numbers it should work just fine, I have nite used it before, so.can't comment.
I think in the new build they have fixed the issues thate esc had.
the model i use: TSB100A is out of stock now.

good luck :)
 ozgurselin 26 points
Guys, Good luck with your setups, I decided to go with 6S setup. I will go for "changesun 90mm 1900Kv combo" it is promising 1900watts at 80A with 6S 4000mah. And the best thing, it is very light setup. Why don't you come to Rc groups under the thread "Electric Ducted Fan Jet Talk" there is one thread about this plane...
 vasy1 605 points
I just ordered that motor as well for my L-39, but it is only 1900 watts, arc will put out around 1000 watts more, as we say, there is no replacement for displacement :)
 ozgurselin 26 points
vasy1, I was planning to use Futaba S3305 (47gr) servos for the tailerons which this servo has torque 7.1kg at 4.8V and 8.9kg at 6.0V, but I need to order similar servo from HK. Which one do you recommends?
 vasy1 605 points
if you have the futaba, just use those. i have limited experience with hk full size servos, so if it was my plane, id go with what hk has on their list of suggested equipment for this plane or maybe read up on rcgroups to see what others are going with.
 steve 27 points
i just came back from the rcgroups. i read it, it will help to build my plane. i paid 170$ for my motor shipped, so i will continue whit this set up and keep you informed.
vasy, after reading comment on the sentilon esc, i think this is not a good idea to buy it. can you refer me on what i can buy? maybe on ebay?
a question about the battery, when it is write for exemple 8s 5000 mah, (did i bought 2 battery 4s with 5000 mah each or i bougt 2 battery 4s with a total of 5000mah?) i guess 1000mah will be too much?
is it complicated to balance the turbine?
thank you!
 ozgurselin 26 points
steve, so under that thread as you saw they used HET 600-37-2 with 7S. Today I decided to go with changesun 1900kv on 6S. It will be light but maximum 1900 watts I will take. For esc go for castle ICE HV 80A or higher... For serial connection your batteries must be 2 x 4S and each one 5000mah. But be aware that 4S 5000mah batteries will be too heavy.
 vasy1 605 points
When went to buy from a HET dealer, they suggested a 700 series motor for better readability. I use 700-68-1680 and it is phenomenal performer, very similar to Arc 65-75-1.
In my 90mm Jets I use 2 x 4000 Mah to get an 8s, or a single 5000 Mah in the 6s setups.
Weight difference between the two is with in 50-80 grams, so 8s setup is superior if you are looking for raw power IMHO, a few grams make very little difference on a 3 kg plane.
Go with 5.5mm bullets to eliminate the need for any adapters when wiring the pack.
Stick with 100 amp ESC to make sure you are save. peak power should be just over 90 amps on 8s.
If SuperBrain is not available, you can source it elsewhere at a slightly higher price and different brand. Castle Ice is a good choice, just expensive, but you can get it use on rcgroups perhaps.
 steve 27 points
i ordered the castel phoenix esc 100amp. and 2 turnigy 4000mah 4s nano 2 4000mah 3s nano
did i need to buy the usb connector to program the esc? or i just put it in the plane and it will be ready to go?
about the turbine, did i need to buy a balancer to balance it? i don t know anything about this.
thank you!
 vasy1 605 points
USB Link will let you set warnings levels for your lipo, set timing as well as allow you to see the data from the flight like rpm, watts, voltage drop and other info. I find it usfull during the setup.
You need a prop balancer to balance the blades. For smaller EDF a boat prop balancer works well but I've never had to balance 90mm yet, a good prop balancer will work. I'd read up on the net as balancing EDF is different compare to regular props.
I see you bought 4s and 3s lipos, you wanna try all setups like 6s, 7s, 8s?
 steve 27 points
i will try 7s and 8s. and i have so many plane who work on 3s, it will be a good thing to have some more.
i will ask for detail on how to balance it on the rcgroup (for the turbine)
thank s again!
 vasy1 605 points
This is a good process. You can substitute the home made balancer he showed with a bought balancer but the processes remains the same.
There is also bunch of related videos you can watch. I used this method once on my HK 70mm fan and it ran super smooth after.
 steve 27 points
just to keep you informed, i received my f18 (nice) and everything to mount it. all i don t have for the moment is time to built it. :)
thank you again for your help!
 vasy1 605 points
Sweet. Let us know how it goes.
 steve 27 points
i ordered a lander fan with his motor how suppose to give 10 pound of thrust on 10 cell finally. and i put the first 8cells arc set up in my starmax 90mm f-16 bought here. wow man! the sound is awesome! thank you again for your help and suggestions. here is my maiden flight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJaWphEcvFM
i will let you know the result with the f18 10cells when it will be built and tryed.
 steve 27 points
Hi Vasy1!
after all this time, i finally finish to mount my fiberglass f-18 tonight. the plane are very heavy, i hope it will be abble to take off, lol
i put rc lander 90mm fan with hv 120 amp castle creation esc for run on 10s set up. suppose to give 10 pound of thrust.
maiden tomorow if the weather is good.
thank you again.
Steve
 vasy1 605 points
Will be cool to see the plane. I have not been flying much this summer, so love to see the vids.
 sondo214 27 points
Does the Alloy DPS-2 Series 90mm EDF unit with 1300kv Motor - 3400watt (10s) fit this airplane? It says the outer diameter is 94mm. Steve wrote that you did it? Can you tell me? Also what battery are you using for a 10s setup that fits?
 steve 27 points
for me i put a rc lander 90mm fan that fit great.
i use nano tech battery, one 6s in the center of the fuselage and one 4s battery in the nose plug in series.
i don t fly and test it yet (winter time here and don t have place to try it)
 sondo214 27 points
do you remember the dimensions of the edf? How much does it weight with the setup you did? Thanks
 steve 27 points
When i bought the edf i was looking for 90mm i don t know how was the mesurement of the outside. I bought it at fan jet usa (just google it) I don t know what is the weight of my plane, it is very heavy with the battery. Wish that power wiLl compensate...
 sondo214 27 points
Ok, and what about retracts?
 steve 27 points
I just put the supplied wheel of the kit
 sondo214 27 points
Thanks Steve! You have been very helpful. Thanks again. If I have any more questions in the future should I feel free to ask?
 steve 27 points
Sorry to not give more help than this. You can ask Question at any time When i will try my f18 i will come back here to put the video online Thank s

the wings of this EDF are plug in ?
 F100CUFFLINK 888 points
na its only 36" wing so very unlikly ,just throw it in the car and ready togo ,many jet this size are like this , best thing about this is that it is fiberglass ,hell of a lot better than foam. DONT HAVE TO WEARY ABOUT IT FALLING APART AT HIGH SPEED.
 spitfire2010 640 points
Another quality post by the 20c chasing cufflink. I've never been worried about the wings on a foam jet falling apart. It's called carbon fiber and it works fine.

Hello, I ama ready for buy the plane But wich set up in 8S in order to have the faster plane of the world... Help me to chose au good deal
ozgurselin  26 points - 6/24/2011

And I, added the manual to the files section.
 Justinb81 56 points
You Sir, are the most awesome person on the planet! Thanks a lot! I was busy searching for the manual. (I have ordered this sweet plane.)
 ozgurselin 26 points
You are well come... Did you decide the power system for yours and maybe retracts?
 Justinb81 56 points
For the powersystem I ordered the Warhead 3545-1850KV to test with the supplied Fan on 6s.
(It is not that expensive) If I'm not satisfied with that setup I can always buy a Het-rc motor/fan combo for 150 euro's. I want to try the cheap option first. *)
For the retracts I want to wait until I have the plane and can take measurements.
I think I'll go with electronic retracts on this one instead of airretracts.
 ozgurselin 26 points
You are right about the e-retracts, better to see the plane first. Please let us know which one you are going to decide. Probably those "changesun" ones are not suitable for this plane, so DSR46 (EPF product) could be better option. I am in doubt to go with HET or Lander 8S power setup, their prices almost same...
 Justinb81 56 points
If I go for the 8s setup, I will take the HET typhoon 700-68 1680kv with HET fan. Is the intake lip of the lander removeable and won't the cable exit part clash with the supplied ducting? I still hope I can run it on 6s and supplied fan. It will be quite a weight reduction by using an outrunner. The HET motors are heavy. by using a 6s instead of a 8s I hope to carry a lot more mAh's for more flighttime.
 JOSE SILVIO 5 points
Hi from Brazil, Ethem. Pls, could you help me specs for power system and retracts for the F-18 EDF 90mm Jet Fiberglass 920mm (ARF)?
 ozgurselin 26 points
Hi Jose, to be honest I also did not decided yet. But probably I will go with HET typhoon 700-68 (1680kv) with HET 9305-700 fan. By mistake I purchased Turnigy K-Force 100A ESC and I really don't know that it can handle HET setup. For retracts probably EPF's DSR46 will be the best option.
 JOSE SILVIO 5 points
Tks a lot. Do you know if HobbyKing has the HET Typhoon 700-68 (1680kv) with HET 9305-700 fan? How can I find these parts at HK site?
 ozgurselin 26 points
Unfortunately HK is not selling HET products, search the net and you will going to find "Highendrc" you can purchase directly from them.
 JOSE SILVIO 5 points
Again, tks for your help, gentleman.I will try Highendrc. Now I need to figure out if the retracts DSR 46 are OK for this plane. Let's investigate. Have a nice wkd.
 ozgurselin 26 points
You are well come. I also trying to figure out those DSR46 retracts are ok or not. But as "Justinb81" said* it's better to see the plane first before ordering the retracts. Best wishes from Moscow...

Best whishes from Brazil... Visit our flying site at ****aerouva****.br and see a little bit our friends at Galeria pictures

I just ordered it without the power system and retracts. Who can give me some advice* RC Lander's 8S setup or HET typhoon 700-68 1680kv with 9305 fan? Also I am thinking to purchase DSR-46TL? Thanks in advance...
 vasy1 605 points
HET typhoon 700-68 1680kv with 9305 fan is a very good setup. I fly it on 8s with SuperBrain 100 Amp ESC from HobbyKing. It pulls just around 93 AMPS and WOT and can fly my F4 at 30 amps streight and level. Peak power is around 2800 watts, so will make this plane go.

Nice Vasy will it do 10s? Hobby King just got a long Nano 10s that would fit in there nicely.
 vasy1 605 points
1680kv is maxed on 8s. they also make 1440kv that is perfect for a 10s as well as you can try 1500.
1440 is also available in a longer can for more torque. i think that would be best for 10s. i think model is 700-80 or something. just one size up from 68.
the motor is a bit heavier but it should balanced out by a bigger battery. also since it is a large can, it would handle heat better.
 vasy1 605 points
i also think that HET will supply more power compare to rclander as lander uses a much lower kv motor. also het system will be lighter over all. you can also get arc motor that is in the same power range as het but in a smaller can so you can use stock fan. i think arc is 35-1 or something.
 vettster 218 points
That would be the ARC 35-75-1t Its rated for 8s but guys are using it on 10s with good results. The motor is bullet proof.
sparkie  325 points - 6/23/2011

Nice looking plane, but NO RETRACTS? for a 90mm!
 vasy1 605 points
It states that retracts can be easily added.

is this the starmax jet?
 ozgurselin 26 points
No, this is "pro" "EDF" jet. I hope you get the clue...
 boostoman 315 points
ethem, can you give me more info on the "pro" i just need more details on this jet before i order it
 ozgurselin 26 points
prodesign edf jets or simply proedf. I can't copy the link name, but search them at the google and you will going to find their websites. All HK's recent composite jet products are from their production.

Ducted Fans again ? These fans are really not efficent at all maybe some ideas and suggestions for an alternative powerplant from you guys might help !
 wynocha 1388 points
Yes the P-20 turbine motor or old idea put pusher motor or two inn the back and props .
 vasy1 605 points
Ducted Fans rule. sure efficiency is not the best but they do make plane sound good and still fly well. Way cheaper then adding a gas turbine.
Pushers are just a joke :)
 MrRCFlyyer 744 points
Ducted Fan sure makes our flying experience better but I have a Nitro engine and a old ramtech ducted fan from the 80s given to me by my 85 yr old uncle I think that will do a NITRO DUCTED FAN !
 Blind Vision 437 points
Are you out of you mind ? the weight to power ratio on the oldskool glow engines are far lower than the good brushless motors. But Try it, since you got the stuff from your uncle. Could be fun to learn for you.
 MrRCFlyyer 744 points
Thanks Vision for the motivation but could you do me a favor please.Reactivate my forum account.
Apparently I'm on a shopping spree here so I would like to post buddy codes.

I have read your post, will look into what to do with your account.

Looks like a Change Sun EDF unit. Put a big ARC motor in that at 10s.

Received mine today, well packaged but the nose had some scratch, not a big deal, Fiberglassed fuse, balsa covered foam core wings, balsa horizontal stabilizers, plastic or fiberglassed covered foam core vertical stabilizers. Here are the weights of the plane; Fuse 785 gr EDF Cover 37 gr Wing 82 gr x 2 = 164 gr H. Stab 40 gr x 2 = 80 gr V. Stab 86 gr x 2 = 172 gr Duct 40 gr Cockpit 28 gr Struts & Push Rods 40 gr Hardware 60 gr Wing Spars 20 gr Total : 1426 gr.

plane arrived poorly packed. fuselage had cracks that i can repair. canopy was cracked very badly. after several emails it became clear that hk would not replace and i was wasting my time. unable to find replacement anywhere. will try to make something. too bad such a nice looking plane has such poor support. last fragile thing i order from hk.
