Hi everyone -
how did you attach the rear wheel? Mine came without instructions!
Doesn't seem to fit together, either have to cut the axle or butcher the bottom of the rudder to get the bracket to fit inline with the axis of rotation of the rudder. Otherwise the rear wheel will have to free wheel without rudder input. Any ideas?
Or would it be better to fit a motor like this one with more watts:
NTM Prop Drive 35-42 Series 1000KV / 700W
Or does anyone have a suggestion for a good setup for great 3d flight??
Thanx for your help!!
Hi there! =) I fell in love with the Edge flying it in a simulator. Got pretty good with a lot of practice doing 3D flying.
And thats my question, will this plane with the recommended setup of:
Motor: NTM Prop Drive Series 35-36A 1400Kv / 550W
Esc:TURNIGY Basic 25A v3.1 Speed Controller
Lipo: Turnigy 1800mAh 3S 20C
be able to do toqueing/hovering and all 3d manovers with ease? Thanx in advance for your help!! =)
Cheers,
-Meik
I recommend you to change the Esc, with your configuration it is too small. The 50A is perfect. Also the Lipo is not the best, the 2200 mAh is better, For flying time and also to ballance the plane! Like propeller I suggest you an Apc 10x5 for short take off or a 9x6. Have a good flights! Ps be generous about exp in your trasmiter. For the first times a 90% it is good.
Hi Faber. Thanx for you reply. I still havent ordered the plane yet. I bought a small Sbach 3D from HH to practice first. At this stage I am really getting the hang of the plane and handle it quite well. For the summer I want to step up to something bigger. Would you still recommend this plane for 3D flying or is there another HobbyKing plane better to suit 3D flying in this size? Cheers, -Meik
Hello MrMeik, this plane works well in the 3D flights. You have also to consider the very cheap price and the very good quality. ( Besides I can use lipo 2200 mah also for a glider and a for a Ely HK 450 pro ) For pure 3D anyway in my personal opinion I suggest you a bigger plane, about a 1200 mm wingspan like the Edge 540 Superlight or a Edge 540 V3 ( if you like the Edge models ) but the total cost will increase. The balsa planes are exciting and for they are the best for precision flights* but they give you few chances to replace them after a fall....
Hi Guys,
has anybody ever build a glow engine into this plane? I have a 4ccm glow engine lying around here from a very similar cap 232.
I gues I would have to remove the brushless motor dome and add a "firewall" from harder wood on the front plate.
Hallo zusammen,
Chris
I thimk it is possible, but there is a mistake in the description of the plane, it is about 500 grams dry weight! So if the 4ccm engine can lift it than try!
does anyone knows the CG for stable flying.mine is pumping like hell despite I have the 3s LiPo in front as far as possible. Cannot find any manual, was not in the box and not here under files. Thanks
When it will be in stock again? I buy two of them before month and I still waiting. Also it's written "Stock updated frequently.
goods will be available within 30 days".

to heavy for its size!!!!
Hi guys, would this be to hard for fourth plane? I have had a 3ch foamy trainer, 4ch glow 1600mm trainer, 4ch bixler and a HK parkjet* basic manoeuvres suck as inverted flight and immelman loops have been pretty much tired out on these unsharp planes. Does this need great experience? Thanks!
It is a nervous plane. consider that a Balsa plane is very precise and fast and it does not give you many chances to repear it if it fall down.... Anyway if you get up the exp in your trasmitter near the 100%, this plane became a lamb .... but fast.... I suggest you to get some training with an acrobatic epo plane before to purchase this....

Habe sie mit 3S 2200mAh und 40 A geflogen. Hat somit richtig Power. Vorsicht! Nicht zu langsam machen, dann kippt sie über den Flügel weg. Also beim Landen mit Schmackes reinkommen.
This plane is very nice. I m flying with for more that a yea but need to Tried several setups
