Well did that help Ralph. If it did not I can tell you that the wing are meant to be glued on. This plane looks great and flys nice (for a drone) but hard to store and transport.

2/3rds back for the C of G is wrong It would be very unstable. 1/3 would be the max. You can see if the Cof G is correct on landing by checking the elevator trim you had to use. Up ele means nose heavy, down ele means tail heavy. To confirm it's correct after adjusting the weight distribution and centralising the elevator again, roll inverted and climb gently ....it should keep the approximate trajectory without any additional trim.
I was actually looking for a drone like this but due to unreallistic colour scheme and wrong name on the plane I will not buy it. The correct name is MQ-9 Reaper and all the pictures I have seen of the real model are showing a plain gray plane. A pitty, because the construction itself looks good.
And the real plane is definately not made of balsa. How unrealistic. If it had been made of aluminium with a semi-monocoque construction and high strength composite materials, then I might of bought it. Patrick, I feel your pain.
Yes, im with you isaacw. And a realistic FPV with autopilot should be included too. And dont forget the military weapon system. So its not really a bargain at all. If someone find irony he can keep it.

c'mon people no need to be so rude. Everyone of us has his own requirements. There somewhere is build log for this plane, and it's not so easy to fly it..., but of course it looks great.

It wouldn't be hard to fit a camera to the nose. You just need to remove a little of the structure and mount the battery a little further back. CofG shouldn't be a problem with the weight of the camera
Would be cool if it came with two canopies, so you cut one up and fit a HK 'FPV Fiberglass Pan-Tilt Camera Mount L-Size' kit and still have an 'intact' canopy to use if not using the camera gear.

Got my one fast (4days) from German warehouse. Looking good first look, but found some defects. The controlepins in the wing to stop bending are pushed in compleatly so I hve to drill them out and glue new one in. The wooden "stick" ( joiner?) to hold the wings is to soft and broke Recommend to make one out of fiberglass. Have not build further waiting for the motor :)
Bespannung war an einer Stelle leider eingestochen. Keine Aufbauanleitung vorhanden. Fuer versierte Modellbauer jedoch kein Problem. Bugfahrwerk fest - unbedingt auf angelenkt umbauen. Passgenauigkeit der GFK-Teile - nicht ganz perfekt. Werde Fly Cam einbauen. Platz ist genug vorhanden.

Ein sehr problematischer Flieger. Wie in vielen Foren geschrieben neigt er zu Tip Stalls, vor allem in langsamen Kurven. Der Flchenverbinder ist aus billigen Alu und war nach meinem ersten Flug bereits verbogen. Hier mu unbedingt ein Ersatz aus Stahl oder Carbon rein. Der Start mit dem Fahrwerk ist problematisch wenn ein zu groer Propeller verwendet wird, denn dieser setzt schnell auf und ist dann hinber. Ich fliege meinen mittlerweile ohne Fahrwerk und starte aus der Hand. Das geht gut. Allgemein ist wichtig, da der Flieger nicht zu langsam geflogen wird, das mag er gar nicht. Segeln geht nur mittel, da er schnell Hhe abbaut. Als Motor habe ich fr 3S einen mit 1500 U/minV verwendet. Prob sollte nicht grer als 7, max 8" sein. Fr FPVler. Es ist fast kein Platz dafr vorhanden. D.h. es mu alles oben drauf gebaut werden. Die Heckabdeckung fr den Motor habe ich weg gelassen, da dieser sonst berhitzt. Die Fronthaube mu gelocht werden um Khlluft zum Regler zu fhren (ich habe meinen Regler vorne, nicht hinten).

Try to include as much data as possible.this plane I receved in Jan.I put it together and I noticed the spar was wood and weak I then put in A plywood one instead .This made it stronger it is a very good plat-form for fvp I changed the V-tail to just up-down and split the rudder to make it useable as a rudder the servo i use for it. I also use for the noise wheel made it A little longer were it goes up through the plane to give it a control-horn on it .Were the canopy with the control rods to the tail hit at the back of the canopy.I then braced it .And cut out A small pice of wood ply to allow the canopy to lock well. I hope that it will help-you!!!R.W.B.have fun flying.P.S.thank-you HK.

Das war mein zweites und letztes Modell von HobbyKing!!! Da steht: Modell kommt mit detailierter Beschreibung! Lüge: Beschreibung erst nach Rückfrage uber HobbyKing via Internet zu finden. Nächste Lüge: US-Dacals und Spinner fehlen auch! Reklamiert, hinhaltende Antworten, faule Ausreden. Ein Modell anbieten und Teile nicht liefern nennt man in Deutschland schlicht und einfach Betrug!
This was my second and last model of HobbyKing!!! There stands: Model comes with detailierter description! Lie: To find description only after further inquiry uber HobbyKing via Internet. The next lie: US-Dacals and spinner are also absent! Complained, holding out answers, decayed excuses. A model offer and parts do not deliver one calls in Germany purely and simply deception!
