HobbyKing FPV / UAV Fiber Glass Kit V2 (DE Warehouse)
Featuring a full fiberglass fuselage with built up ply and balsa construction, the HobbyKing FPV / UAV is set to raise the bar in FPV flight performance. The large motor mount area allows for a variety of motor sizes depending on your application. A slick fiberglass finish provides superior aerodynamics to foam planes while the rigid airframe offers a greater level of flight performance. The large clear canopy is perfectly suited to FPV cameras or can be removed or modified with ease for a custom setup.The Fuselage boasts ample space for FPV equipment allowing a variety of custom setups and the split flaps will ensure low speed landings with heavier payloads.
You will require a 35 to 42 size burshless outrunner, 5 x 9g servos (one for each control surface and one for the steerable nose wheel), a 40 to 60Amp ESC, 3s to 4s 2200mah~4400mah Lipo battery and your own transmitter and receiver (Tx/Rx). All the general hard ware (Push rods, screws, landing gear etc) are included to get this kit underway.
Some modeling experience will be required to complete this kit, However the finished product will be of a high quality with superior flight characteristics to foam and will last a life time.

Can anyone suggest the type and size for wheels the originals should be replaced for?
I am newby and do not have enough experience to decide of my own.

I have 75mm on mine, also set up tail dragger style with a 25mm wheel in the back. This model is quite tail heavy so keep in mind to put as much up front when building. so stock landing gear is a little better that way I would use at least 65mm wheels if you plan to take off on grass strips. helps a little to get more gray covering and cut out holes in the rudder (rudder is solid wood) and horizontal stabilizer) to reduce tail weight a little. helps also to strengthen holes for servo screws in fiberglass with exopy, the plywood backing isn't all that great
I just checked my Easystar. With 3S: 3000mAh and 1000mAh Lipos, OSD Pro, eloggerV4, GPS, Horyzon HD V2 camera, Immersion RC Diversity 459MHz control Rx and 600mW video Tx. It weighs 1240g ie lighter than the frame weight of the HK FPV plane.
I agree Stew, It is nice to look at but after having flown it I too would take the easystar/2 or bixler/2 over this thing. after I crash it and broke the tail I threw it out... kept the wings though, they are nice wings, perhaps try them as an option for my skywalker 1900mm or make another fuselage for them.
this engine is very little turnover, can be mounted but announces to drive 4 or 5 cells bateriya.ponezhe not much room for large propeller is used in high-speed

I recomed Master Airscrew 8x6 electric. But try to find motor prop test data for the chosen motor and pick prop up to 8" size with wanted characteristic.
They say the max prop diameter is 8 inch but judging from mine I think a 9 inch would fit on... just barely. I am going to use a 8x6 3 blade with the ntm 35-36 1800kv and see how it does
You get the 'change items' option if one or more article(s) within the order is backlog. This gives you the chance to e.g. Cancel the back-ordered item to let the other items be sent and e.g. re-order the BK item as separate order. Whether it makes sense may depend or the urgency and shipping costs.

I have 2 of these kits on the way from the HK German Warehouse for FPV purpose. Look around for reviews, there are several out there. It really is a decent kit for the price, especially if you can get it from a warehouse near you and save on shipping. Fiberglass fuse helps to fit a lot of gear inside.
It is a big building where they keep all the goodies.:-) By the way it say DE warehouse, which stands for Deutschland Warehouse, which means German warehouse.
Isn't the whole idea of a T-tail to get the stabilizor out of the prop wash and wing turbulance? With this design it's right in the middle of the prop wash and inline with the wing which means vibrations. I think a conventional tail would have been aerodynamically better and structurally stronger as they did with the other HK foam FPV model.
... and I just ordered 2 of these HobbyKing FPV / UAV Fiber Glass Kits from the German warehouse :) Shipping large items to local warehouses really is a good move from HK. Shipping with GLS Express Courier is just ~25 USD for up to 10kg so of course I got 2 kits instead of just one. Shipping anything larger from HK to some countries in EU is too expensive customs charges also apply to shipping. HK regional warehouses = great idea!
This kind of plane often has a narrow, high forward fuselage, just like this one. I am sure it would handle better if the forward fuselage were broad but low* you'd have as much cargo space but better vertical fin authority.
I ordered 2 of these from the German warehouse with GLS parcel. Each kit is nicely and securely packed in double box and all the contents were in great shape. Fiberglass body contains a lot of space for the FPV gear.

Super Qualität, extrem sauber verarbeitet. Ich hatte bei dem Preis nicht so eine Verarbeitung erwartet. Hier können deutsche Fabrikanten etwas lernen. Einziges Manko, es liegt keine "Bauanleitung" bei aber bei einem solchen Flieger sollte man mit einem Schwerpunkt bei 2/3 Flächentiefe kein Problem haben.

Which motor is the best for this plane?? The plane will be loaded with FPV gear, and I will use it for long range FPV.. Please help me for a good setup..
