Looking like it's doing 100mph standing still, the Racer Cat is an all things to all pilots model that will give hours of fun. The Racer Cat is a nice size and the attractive colour scheme is great for orientation. The more you look at this ARF, the more the quality impresses, superbly applied Oracover covering, the hardware is top notch, the cowl and spats have a deep laquered finish and the airframe is amazingly well built, strong yet light.
Designed for either a 0.60 two stroke or 0.90 four stroke engine, the model only requires fairly basic standard servo's and so offers a cheap, quick build. The wing is removable 1pc set up so the Racer Cat is easy to transport and the wing design is impressive, thin section with a light wing loading, the tailpane is also profile not flat sheet.
This model offers the RC pilot so much, capable of speed or gentle slow flying, impeccable manners yet fully aerobatic, good looking but durable, the Racer Cat 60 will make you smile and smile for years to come!
Includes: Fuel Tank & Fittings Engine Mount Instructions Hardware Decals
Requires: Your Own 4 Channel TX/RX 0.60 two stroke or 0.90 four stroke Glow Engine 5 x Standard Servo Reciever Battery (+ UBEC for 2s LipolyRX Battery) 50mm~55mm Spinner
Cara, ele é* meio grande pra esse motor.
O ideal seria vc colocar um 61 ou 90 quatro tempos.
Eu tenho um 61 com hé*lice tri-pá* 11x08 e fica muito bom!!
Abraç*o e bons vô*os
Can Any 1 tell me ., what a 26 cc would go like ..in this Plane ,, Looks to be Large enough to Take with no problem .. who Has 1 x 26cc in This Plane any 1 ,,!
I've got this plane and I have a 26cc RCG petrol for another project so I got both out and did some comparing. From what I've read I have the impression the extra weight at the front wouldn't be a big prob, but the mounting bolt spacing will be very close to the sides and the cowling isn't long enough to work unless you don't mind about an inch or more shaft sticking out the front before the prop but you'll need to chop away a heck of a lot of the cowl to fit around that engine anyway so probabl
cowl to fit around that engine anyway so probably better off chucking it instead. Summary: I think doable but with difficulties including maybe the torque twisting the fuse but if you're keen enough and do the right mods but I'm thinking it's way overkill. Mine I'm going electric with and keeping it sleek and light (hopefully) Darn thing chopped the end off the first reply.
Ive done 6 flights since I noticed the wing mount problem. It hasnt got any worse, but I did put a bit of foam tape in to the slot to take up any sloppyness.. Getting some perfect 3 point landings with her if you can slow her right down.. Flying her in 18-20kt gusts today. makes landing fun.
if you read my other post, you would have seen Ive been thrashing the bird already.. Yes the manual was in the box but stuck under one of the packing sheets.
Well guys Ive orderd one and is on the way.. It will be fitted with a ASP61 on a Macs pipe swinging a APC8x9.Seee if it will come close to the bird Its replacing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubxVmXo ngps
Well the bird has landed. Looks prety good. The control clievis are of the ball type. Fuse looks strong, the tail is solid as is the horizon stab.. the main wing is a glue together 2 piece and also looks solid. I Think she will go like a scared cat power Im puting on her...
No way guys, I'll take the other one, it's a whole 65 cents cheaper lol. Before anyone beats me to it and says how ugly they think it is I'm saying I think both versions of this look great and I'll bet they fly great too so nah nah na nah na
The buggers have realy got me confused now. I actualy like this colour better but do I like it enough more to spend all that extra money lol. Probably wont be any choice realy, by the time I can afford another plane I'll dive on whichever one is in stock if any are and if not whichever comes back into stock first.
I agree the Ugly thing has been done to death. Thing is that it has grown on me. Have blanked out the window section in photo shop, looks real cool. Given me more ideas, This would be a great airbrush project once the Black windows are removed.
There you go. The ugly duckling story all over again, although I wouldn't go as far as calling it a beutifull swan yet but maybe after your airbrushing job it might. It would be great if you posted pics of the end result here in the files section and or the forums.
We all know that yellow and red goes faster thats why its more expensive. but i bought the white and red one, so i will just have to use a bigger motor.
ha ha
Which engine mount are they expecting you to use seeing as the T-nuts are already installed in the firewall?I don't see it included in the accessories.
It says it's included but I can't see anything that looks like one in the pics either. Hopefully it's just a matter of the photographer forgot to put it in the pic.

The bird is ready for its maiden flight. Had to fit the RX battery right up front and still had to add weight to the nose. This bird is running a ASP61 2 stroker with a MACs pipe and a APC10x8.

Bought one of these a while ago, went together well. Put in a ASP60 recomended,Had to add weight to balance and it flew well. Wasn't too much fun with the 60, until I ran it in and retuned the motor, then took out the weight, now I have unlimeted vertical, and anything I like to do but I dumb thumbed it and am waiting for them to come back in stock. Can certainly recomend this aircraft.

Hi there. I made a small "building blog" on the "Race Cat" for those who are interested. Unfortunately, in Swedish, but you can always look at the pictures .... ;-)) Engine (ASP 91 FS) and aircraft are purchased at Hobby King.
