Turnigy Accucel-6 50W 6A Balancer/Charger w/ Accessories (US Warehouse)

Turnigy Accucel-6 50W 6A Balancer/Charger w/ Accessories (US Warehouse)

The Turnigy Accucel 6 Balance Charger utilises quality FET's and resistors to accurately balance and charge LiPoly and NiMH batteries.
The Accucel-6 will handle LiPoly/LiFe up to 6S and NiMH/NiCd up to 15S and shows individual cell voltage during charge with realtime updates throughout the charge cycle.
The intuitive menu system means charging and cycling is an easy process and can be done quickly and accurately either at the field by using a 12v input such as a car battery or at home with a 12v power supply.
Bundled with the Accucel-6 is a bunch of input and output wires which should satisfy any charging requirement.

There are several chargers now entering the China market that look similar to the Accucel. These chargers are produced with cheaper FET's and are unfortunately much less accurate and very unsafe. There has been reports of the copied chargers over-charging packs and not balancing correctly.
The Accucel-6 is the first charger in the market with this PCB layout Circuit design. Any charger with the same circuit diagram is most definitely a copy. We have tested the copied chargers ourselves, their componentry is of a very low quality and the manufacturing company that has produced the copy has used a process of duplicating our CPU(MCU)'s hex file and flashed a similar chip(MCU) to produce a similar product. This means they do not have the original code and therefore cannot bug-test(QC) or update the charger at any point.
Our chargers have CE and RoHS certification, proving their safety.
Plus, thousands of customers the world over have used our chargers with excellent results.
Your batteries are expensive. We understand this and thats why we will not carry low-quality charging devices.
Trust only in TURNIGY® quality charging devices.

Just got two accucel 6 chargers and can not get anything but a 'disconnect' readout when I plug a lipo into the balance ports. Am I programming something incorrectly? They both charge finr through the banana plugs. Whish they came with instructions for dummies.

I figured it out!!. So you have to plug in both power AND balance plugs. I knew both chargers couldn't be bad. Maybe HK could print up basic charge circuits and give us dummies a break.

would a E-flite AC to 12VDC adapter/power supply work with this?
 Arizonask8r 569 points
depends on the current. to get the full charging capabilities you need to get a charger that can put out more than 6 amps. If your charger is only 3 amps then you can only charge up to 3 amps.

12Vdc is fine, but make sure the power output is 60 to 75 watts or more. Regards!

wat power cord works with this.
 EstebanT 543 points
Not a power cord. Actually you need a DC Power Supply like product ID 9052000023-3: Input: 100~240VAC~50/60Hz 3A, Output: 15VDC / 7A. Other options: 12V car battery, PC power supply, etc. Best Regards!

So is the international version different? I'm not sure what this whole calibration issue is and should I worry about it ordering from the US warehouse? I just need a charger that can charge 1s to 4s but if there seems to be a QC issue with these from the US warehouse I think I'll pass. What do you guys think buy or no? I'm new to this whole thing so I don't want to buy something that isn't gonna work.

I've have one of the older one with the calibration on it and don't use it , it's not that far off . for a cheep charger it been working for me the last year . I myself think it's a good charger for the price . never had a over charge . even my Onyx 245 is a little off also .

Have u thought to open the charge and add/change the resister. I have herd of people modifying the internals of this charger to make it more accurate.

Input voltage errors are not due to the batteries, but to the power supply. Please, check your power supply specifications and actual performance. Power supply must be 60 to 75 watts or higher and the voltage must be between 11 and 17 volts. Check the voltage during charger operation. Must not fall below 11V. Hope you find this answer helpful. Best Regards!

Sorry, answered the wrong question (it is obvious)

I have this charger and use it to balance charge all my Lipo and Life batteries, love it! It works well and you can monitor the balance as well as the charge and charge rate of the unit, works just like it should, the menu takes a little getting used to, but so do many of the fancier toys we all use. I would recommend this unit to anyone who wants a fairly priced balance charger with lots of features. I have used it for a while and am very happy with this charger.

Another great product! Charges and balances my LiPo's so much better than the stock chargers that came with my helis. Runs quiet and easy to use.

Love this charger. Well made , Bright backlit readout , easy to program . Can't touch a charger like this in the USA for under $60. Bought it because my Shultz isl 330-6 ($200) needed a new e-prom chip to update to LiFe charge and would not charge below 300ma for micro stuff.. The e-prom was on backorder and it was $30. A no brainer !!!!
Like this one better anyway with balance connectors on the side so you can charge and balance at the same time. You GO Hobby King!!!
