This superb Turboraven really looks the part and is something quite different from the usual sport models, being built for both glow or electric power, nobody get's left out!
The construction of this ARF is first class, being both strong and light, the covering is also excellent and has been expertly applied. The glassfiber cowl and wheel pants have a deep gloss paint finish and the comprehensive, quality hardware package compliments the quality of the airframe. The 2 pc plug in wing is ideal for easy transportation and field assembly and mounts onto a CF tube. Rudder is pull/pull for precision and an alloy servo extension is included.
The Turboraven is a high performance aerobatic model and regardless of EP or IC power, this is a model that the RC pilot will never tire of, capable of high speed with the right set up, combined with an excellent aerobatic ability, this is a great looking, practical every-day sport model that will really stand out at your airfield!

Well hobbyking hit the jackpot with this one. Very good model, took a bit of work to get everything to fit. but flies really well, and I would thoroughly recommend it. Please tell us where it came from so that we may purchase other models from the same stable. So many models are sub standard, this one ticks all the boxes. Bruce
Hi, I have the same problem. To make the tank fit to the firewall, I put something under the tank, but than the canopy does not fit. So I modified the "tunnel" in the firewall. However, the tank does not fit.
Finally, I used a Heat Gun to deform the tank in the right way. I took me 10 minutes, but now he fits perfect. But I have now another issue. My plane does not lift. I had to put 400 gramm plump in the front to get the right cg position. I use an ASP .91 four stroke. But this engine seems to be not strong enough. I can drive perfectly on the ground, but no chance to take off.
I have a OS 61, perfect CofG without lead etc and flys perfectly. It is a sports plane so not sure why you've plumped for a four stroke. No help to you but good luck
I had a issue with the fueltank James...
But with some force, it sits very tight!
My real issue was the stock hinges...
they broke in flight (not supposed to).
its a great aircraft, but if you do get it.. BUY PRO HINGES!
Im using electric NTM5060-380 and 16x10 prop with 64mm AL64spinner. ESC BIRD-110A and SBEC-26V 5A. Two T2650.6S.20 in paraller and balance is perfect. You can take of from grass but I changed original 6cm wheels to 7cm and now rolling slightly better.
im new at this so where can i find the 4~6 Channel TX/RX
0.60 Glow Engine or equivalent EP Motor
5 x Standard Size Servo (4 x for EP)
RX Battery and/or UBEC
80A ESC (EP)
4000mAh~5000mAh 6s Lipoly Battery (EP)
64mm Spinner
9403000002 R610 FS91AR (91 4 stoke its not a mistake) 621DMG-HS There is most of the stuff there is some other stuff you will need like rx battery, prop, spinner. Im not sure what prop would be best for that engine some one else will have to help with that.
John this is probably not a plane suited to a complete beginner? Might be a bit fast and a bit aerobatic to learn on? Perhaps a bixler or similar as a first plane and this one as a second plane? Just trying to save you a pile of broken bits.....
If I owned it the first to go is the wheel pants, more trouble than they are worth. Then you can put on any size wheels you wants to match your field you fly from. Great looking plane, maybe own it one day but still have 3 planes in boxes upstairs plus 3 planes in repair or build stage on the table.
im using evo 30cc with 3 servos on the tail is the best airplane i have. fly's amazing no other can compete 20 cc is perfect for this model as well wing load is very hi just check your cg and prop clearance to ground it shut be fine i will upload photos soon send pics of yours 2.
CapJack! How much room is there left with your 30cc in it? I'm about to receive RCG15cc from HK, and I'm wondering if it will suffice to do 3D and will it fit? Thanks in advance. AK
best option is JC23 EVO 2 Beam Mount im using a master airscrew 16X6 2 blade prop with a 2.75 metal spinner is amazing performance unlimited vertical hi speed and stable cg is perfect i just cover all the firewall and landing gear mount with epoxy and fiber glass just to reinforce for vibration i am using the supply engine mount in the kit and the cowling is like 10mm gap between spinner and cowling but still acceptable.
good luck and enjoy.
CapJack! Thanks for the info. Unfortunately it will have to fly with the RCG15cc as I already bough it. Hopefully it will be able climb with it. tks..
BTW how do I award "Extra Points"? tks ak
How did it turn out with the RCG15cc? I bought that exact same engine for this plane. I have a Super Tigre .75 glow (2 stroke) and the RCG15cc sitting on my bench. Trying to decide which to use. I though the 15 would be a bit heavy, but it sounds like it might be good fit afterall? Does it provide enough thrust? Thanks!
sure u can use eider engine i mean both shut run that airframe very nice my personal opinion is that gas is better because u can use maybe bigger prop next problem u will have is the short landing gear i change for a carbon gear twice as hi the original and the performance for take off and landing improves a lot do the hi angle of attack also very necessary for the prop clearance i send a pic today
Anyone else like Warhammer? This is a Blood raven plane from the Imperials it has the Imperial Marine Insignia and an elite unit of Imp Marines is the Blood ravens who specialise in Aerial combat in the WH universe.... i rekon a fan snuk it through......Great one HK 1st on the wish list
scufflink, I never asked a question... I replied on your comment: "all the turbo ravins have that" but you're to dumb to understand anyway, so don't bother to think about it and damage your last braincell....
KaosKane Warhammer cool. I like the comment that is said IN THE GAME ONE OF THE LORDS ANSWERS HIS MOIBLE " I am a dread lord not a drug lord" So yes I an a fan. So with Warhammer II what we we see Blood raven plane on steroid. THANKS
This Turboraven is a beautiful rendition of the "Full Scale" counterpart. What sets it apart from the other aerobatic planes in it's class, is the wingtips, and the top of the rudder.
look at the pics urself they are not evev close.. (ok they are both planes) i will wait for info on this plane to check quality. and not assume all HK planes are the same
KoasKane have a look at the last pic of idProduct=17834, see the EP box you have to glue on, fitting are the same on this plane, Assumption based that.
Bel modello, preciso, robusto e affidabile. Ottime doti di volo acrobatico. Piuttosto veloce. Molto stabile in volo e buono in atterraggio.

Hi there.I have one of this beautiful birds.I have an OS 91 FX mounted on it,standard muffler,APC 13X8 prop.It weights equipped with standard servos and 350 cc tank 3650 gr.It flies fantastic, very clean without any problems,CG at 120mm from leading edge.Flight time 10 min with reserve.Unlimited vertical,hi speed flying but also can be flown slowly and it actually lands slowly(I didnt belive this, but it is true!!).VERY GOOD FLYING AIRPLANE,unbeliveble stable in the air.It has only two bad things:Elevator halves must be somehow stiffer linked one with the other and the mounting process of the elevator is very tricky.Hardware supplied is not best quality but useful.Who wants really precision flight, must use high quality linkage,as I did,and the Raven can be very precisely flown.
Conclusion:Buy it,and please Hobby King, think about that also in Germany is needed in stock.

Bought this plane, the lenght of the plane is 8cm shorter, wingspan is correct.
One of the rudders for the wings weights 180g the other is 84g.
So I have to make a new rudder for one of the wings.
Color from cowling to body is sligtly different.
Other than the its a nice looking plane with good bulid quality.
If the lengt had been correct and the rudders had the same weight I would give it 5 stars.

This is a beautiful plane, However, even with a .91 fourstroke and ONE elevator servo, it is EXTREMELY tail heavy. it wound take over a pound mounted at the very end of the motorbox to balance it. Back to the drawing board. I am going to strip the guts and re-design the radio compartment. I will post results later.
