More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech lithium polymer batteries are built with an LiCo nano-technology substrate complex greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance. In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery. For those that love graphs, it means a straighter, longer curve. For pilots it spells stronger throttle punches and unreal straight-up performance. Excellent news for 3D pilots! Unfortunately with other big brands; numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!Spec.Capacity: 850mAhVoltage: 3S1P / 3 Cell / 11.1VDischarge: 25C Constant / 40C BurstWeight: 69g (including wire, plug & case)Dimensions: 63x32x25mmBalance Plug: JST-XHDischarge Plug: Mini-JSTSuited to the following models: ALIGN T-Rex250,GAUI EP-255 * The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives. 1) The nanometer conductive additives form ultrastrong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity. 2) These additives create a superstrong ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion. Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly.Advantages over traditional Lipo batteries;-Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg.-Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load.-Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mΩ compared to that of 3mΩ of a standard Lipoly.-Greater thermal control, pack usually doesnt exceed 60degC-Thickness swelling during heavy load doesnt exceed 5%, compared to 15% of a normal Lipoly during heavy load.-Higher capacity during heavy discharge. More than 90% at 100% C rate.-Fast charge capable, up to 15C on some batteries.-Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.

If you're on a budget you should look at Hobby King DC-4S charger, available for less than 9 bucks from the USA warehouse. It has a balance port for your 3S nano's and it has a fair reputation for reliability and accuracy, given the extremely reasonable cost. BTW this charger (like all similarly priced units) does not have it's own power supply, meaning it does not use household current... you will be charging from your car battery or similar source.
If you have a old computer power supply you can use it for the 12 volt source for the charger.
Depending on the style of power supply it can be as easy as shorting two pins together like with a ATX style PS and connector. Use the yellow wire and a black one and viola, again depending on power supply you'll more than likely have more amps available than your charger will draw.
I plan to buy two 3s 40c 850 mhA batteries from the us warehouse. I want to buy a charger with balancer for the batteries, but I can't afford very much for the charger. What charger balancer do you recommend?

if you can possibly swing it, the turnigy accucell 6 is a great charger, does all battery types, and you can get it from the international store for around $23.00. i have one, and it replaced 4 chargers i was using. like the dc-4s, it runs on 12 volts, but i use a old atx computer power supply.
One more from a newbie. This same battery I bought has a jst plug. do I have to solder a jst plug onto my esc to connect them? The esc is 20 amp.
Or should I solder a deans plug onto the battery and esc?
Thanks
Newbie here. My battery has 2 connections. I know the red/black is for the esc, but what is the other connection for (white plastic with 4 wires (red/blue/white/black)? Is this where I connect the battery charger adapter?
Thanks
i change out the connector to standard deans plugs, and get the same if not better performance than a turnigy pack, about the amps i could not give you a answer but i use these in a sky angel f22 and also in a a6m zero warbird and they give me awesome performance
I use micro-deans instead of JST - it can handle 12 amps. The pack should be capable of sustaining at least 20 amps (.85ah x 25C = 21.25 amps), which would very likely overheat and possibly melt the JST.
With the battery being only 370-450mah why put such a big deans connector on it that is heavy and not needed. If you were using a 1300-4000mah battery I would definitely go with a deans plug. I never change the jst to a deans with such small mah batt.

Great Battery! These rock!!! I have 4 of them and will order more soon, I fly an Ultimate Bi-Plane that was using 1350mAh until I decided to try one of these in there. WOW! it is like a different plane, less weight up front and much more power. I gotta get me some mo o dees...
This battery is sweet. 5C charge rate. Perfect balance for Align 250.

Ordered 2 of these batteries and received them within 4 days from the USA warehouse. Everything was neat and tightly packed.
I used a balance charger to charge the batteries and they seemed like they took a charge. Hooked them up to my ESC and nothing. Put them back on the charger and now all I am getting is the flashing light. So these batteries are useless now.
