Can I build a viable battery pack to replace the zippy compack 4000mAh Product #ID ZC.4000.3s.25 in order to over come the regulatory limitations on Li batteries Max mAh, for example two 2000mAh products tied together with apporox the same characteristics and weight?
Yes, you can use two batteries of the same specs[Capacity(mAh's),Voltage(S) and Discharge rate(C)]in parallel to achieve higher capacity, for example, if you want a 4000mAh 3S 25C LiPo pack,you can use 2 X 2000mAh 3S 25C connected in parallel. Be advised that both batteries should be equal charged and balanced! Keep in mind as well that result would be heavier as you will have more cables and connectors.
You can charge it with any LiPo charger capable of 3S and you can chose by clicking on the left tab "Chargers & Accessories > Battery Chargers". I charge them with my B6AC - IMAX B6-AC Charger/Discharger 1-6 Cells (GENUINE).
Im considering 1 of these for my bixler. I figure it can take around 300g extra weight with a 2200mah 180g battery, These being only 100g more than a 2200 should be good. I also estimate around 30mins of flight time. Opinions?
Ive just ordered 4 for a home build project. Can anyone confirm the dimensions of the lipo (14.8cm x 4.3cm x 2cm). I can read but sometimes HK figures are estimates. I want to finish the build and need measurements!!!! Thanks
I pack the "white" COMPACT 4A 5S! (cables made **with 5mm too big).
Its exact dimensions: 148 * 44 * 34mm for the 5S pack.
So the 3S must do well in 20mm thickness.
I can confirm described size and weight. Shorten the wires bring them easy below 280g to fit the rules of NAVIGA boat racing. Loaded with 40A a capacity of 4000mAh is realistic.
Very good cell with good energy/weight ratio. I would love to see a 4200mAh version of this cell for use in races.
Bixlers just love the weight, I run a 4000mah Zippy in mine and it just fits without a problem through the canopy, sits upright and I get over 30 minutes of low flight time horsing around. I sure it would easy go 45 min cruising high, only depleting to 3.7v per cell. 30 min and I come in at 3.85, 6x4 apc prop is the best upgrade, cheers
To druga moja lipola z tej firmy o takich samych parametrach, tylko wcześniej kupiłem nie compact. Rzeczywiście tak jak piszą jest trochę mniejsza od tej "no compact" tak więc jak ktoś ma mało miejsca w swoim samolocie może ta będzie w sam raz. Dobrze trzyma i pojemność zgodna z opisem. Polecam :)

Real weight - 292g, real dimensions (on my LiPo) - 145x42x20mm (others (look into discussion section) got slightly bigger batteries). If it will give 4000mAh back and do not puff in few flights - it will be great battery (very, very good energy density, compared to others). It's rated for 100A, my copter does not needs more than 30A, so i should be safe. I will update review at some time later after many flight tests...
