What mount goes with this motor? I am looking to put it into a Sig Cadet Senior. Thanks, (weight at about 7.5 pounds)

Thats exactly what I am buying this motor for, to repower my old Kadet Senior. I will have to follow this up with a flight report. -From a hot Kansas.

Me too. I am building the kit and I need to buy the motor yet. I was looking at this one or the smaller one that replaces a .46 glow.

Been bench testing my G60 today. This motor is HUGE, heavy but makes an obscene amount of thrust on 6 cells and a 16x8, too much for a Kadet. I instead repowered my .90-1.20 Raven Acro plane. Haven't done power readings, busy flying and grinning at the vertical.

what size battery goes with this motor?

5-7S, if you go 7s you will need a HV esc

With 5S 5A 18x6 cherry wood prop (LY90518-18x6) 959 Watts shown on the wattmeter. Mounted on a Hobbyking Pitts-S12 Python (PITTS-02) it makes the plane fly 'scale'.. The Pitts CG on HK manual was completely wrong (tail heavy!) but moving the 5S battery completely forward makes a correct CG and the tandem is beautiful in the air!

I put this on my 7lb. Sig Kadet Senior on a 6s and 15x6 and it was too much power! Unlimited vertical! I have now converted my 9lb .90 size Wayne Handley Raven (Global Mfg Extra 300ish plane) and rarely need full throttle. The motor was decently balanced, but benefited from a few minutes of balancing. Great value!

There are discussions that these motors are the same as eflite. I have one of these and an Eflite 60 and they are not the same. If you look in the can of the Eflite, you will see that the open end of the can has a metal retainer to hold the end of the magnets from sliding around or out. The HK version only has glue at that end and that is where 'eventually' the magnets WILL come loose and and the motor will probably destroy itself. Eflite 60 $100 US, Turnigy G60 $50 US (09/12). Until the magnets are fixed properly, my choice is Eflite with it's 55A continuous. I would bet that my Eflite is running long after my G60 kills itself putting my airplane in jeopardy. G60 going in the Stick, Eflite 60 in the Spit. BTW, I also purchased a SK3 5045 500kv and IT HAS THE RETAINER but not the 450kv version. Looks like HK has seen the light and is STARTING to produce a quality design. Hopefully in a couple of years we won't be having these problems. Now if they can only make a hardened shaft.....
