Hey I bought this HXT servo and the HK15288A and when I checked the torque,the HK15882A was much stronger and was only $6.03. The HK servo is a great servo and cheaper,same spline as HXT,Futaba spline.JK.
I just bought 10 of these for a scratch build plane. This entire project is probably well out of my knowledge base, but I'm learning as I go. Does anyone know the operating amps for these servos? I'm trying to decide what kind of external BEC setup I'll need to operate 10 of these servos.
If you have a receiver that can handle that voltage, yes they can. I have several planes running with servos, all running straight 7.2.

Have used these for several years for 60 sized and up glow and electric planes. Very strong metal gears. Come with great (and usable) arms. Have never had a failure. Have never received a dud.
If you are a sport flyer and need a strong digital servo that doesn't cost a fortune....buy these!!

I just received 20 of these servos. All work perfect after checking. I use these in VERY LARGE scratchbuilt airplanes. Never had a single issue!! Proof is in the pudding, check out "scratchbuilder101" on youtube to see these servos in action!!! You will not be dissappointed!!! Highly recommend!! Doug.

I bought 6 of these for a 50CC Commander Sport / Aerobatic airplane (NON 3D.. it's a giant scale F3A/Pattern airplane, although there isn't a sanctioned 50CC F3A Class ;) ) I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE SERVOS! Metal Gears, Digital, wide voltage range. they center perfectly and have plenty of holding power. the supplied horns are very robust, (Standard Futaba horns DO FIT too!) So far I have ~ 25 flights on the airplane and they've held up very very well. I just purchased six more for a 30CC CMP Marathon (3D). UNBELIEVABLE value for a servo that costs less than $10.

Quality is good however 10 kg of torque is a lot to expect from an 8 dollar servo . Great for the price though definitely reliable overall for such an inexpensive unit.
