No, this does not plug in the wall, you will need to get a power, look under chargers, power supply. hobby king 600w 17v power will do the job.
hope this helps. if you don't want a power supply, you need to look for an AC charger, like the imax b6-AC charger. happy hunting.
Hi guys, i just received my charger and zippy 8000mah lipo bats. i would like to know how i can charge my bats to its max charge and where can i find the instructions manual.
Hi Rage, HK hasn't uploaded a manual into the "Files" tab for this charger, but they have for the Mega 2X200W charger. If you type "T200WDUAL" into the search bar and select the link for the international warehouse charger, you'll find the manual under the "Files" tab. It'll give you all the basic commands/instructions you'll need to operate this charger. Cheers!
Receive mine today but there's a piece of paper saying that this charger need at least 15V-18V power supply but on the net it says 11-18V. If I use power supply lower than 15V it could damages the charger the paper said. I have 12V power supply would this be a problem now?
Thanks for anyone who can help me
Hi Boon, The 15V-18V warning is actually intended for users who regularly charge LiPos with more than 4 cells (>14.80 nominal voltage), but they don't make that clear. If you're charging 2-4 cell batteries you should be fine with the 12vdc power supply. Cheers!
Hi again Electric i got 1 more question. like u said if i charge using parallel, some battery would under charge if 1 is full. Would that effect the battery life span or just shorten flight for 1 battery to another? thanks
Hi Boon, It won't harm the LiPos that are slightly under-charged, just shorten the flight time a bit. One clarification to what I said in previous comment .... this charger has a 20A max output, so you could only charge 4x5000mah LiPo batts at 1C (5A) with a parallel connector by cranking the charger up to its 20A max. That's still a huge capacity. Cheers!
Hi Boon, The 2x200 is popular because you can charge 2 batteries simultaneously with individual settings for each. Very few batteries could withstand a 20A charge rate, so all that power is wasted. But when you want to keep a plane up in the air, it helps to be able to charge multiple batteries at the field. Cheers!
Hi electric. but i have parallel connection for battery so i can charge multiply battery up to 6 battery..so far i have a few of 3S 2.2A but in the future i might get bigger bird and needs more amp so you think should i go for this 1 or 2x200?
Hi Boon, Using parallel connectors for charging multiple batteries, you could charge 5x5000mah 4S LiPo batts at 1C (5A). This is massive charging capacity. However, you need to be sure to charge similarly discharged batteries (equal amounts of flight time) with the parallel connectors or they won't all get fully charged. What happens is the battery with the highest charge/voltage is the one the charger senses first as fully charged and shuts off, leaving the others a bit under-charged. Other than that, there's no reason not to go with this charger. Thanks for the credit! Cheers!
Hi Electric thanks for your answer. now i feel better knowing what i'm gonna buy..and this hobby is new to me but i love it, gonna learn lot more cheers mate
10A at how many volts? If it is at 12v then it will be able to charge 3S at 10A, but 6S at only 5A, because 6S needs the charger to multiply the voltage to 22v and thus the source current will be near double what the charge current is. So 10A source can only do 5A charge then (for 6S). And proportional for other battery sizes. eg 5S at about 6A or so.
Receive mine over a week ago, just today i try it cos i have to buy another power supply. the charger works great. very good hobbyking and for everyone that looking for the manual forget about it. cos there's none, lucky i use the turnigy accucell 6 before so every button and function is the same

I received mine a week ago and it seems to be working fine, except the currents shown (charge and discharge) are only reading 74pcnt of the true value, with corresponding errors in milliamp hours. This was confirmed using two separate Turnigy watt meters and an accurate digital volt/amp meter. Fortunately the voltage readings are correct, Is there any way of re-calibrating it?

Today I was charging four 5000mah 5S batteries in parallel and outputing 17 amps into them using the 540w 220~240v Power Supply set at 17.5 volts. Actual current into the batteries was only 12 amps, (a long way short of 17). However after 15 minutes the charger died and now says "Battery Error Low Voltage" every time I go to charge or discharge anything. The problem looks terminal. $70 down the drain?
