This superb Turboraven really looks the part and is something quite different from the usual sport models, being built for both glow or electric power, nobody gets left out!
The construction of this ARF is first class, being both strong and light, the covering is also excellent and has been expertly applied. The glassfiber cowl and wheel pants have a deep gloss paint finish and the comprehensive, quality hardware package compliments the quality of the airframe. The 2 pc plug in wing is ideal for easy transportation and field assembly and mounts onto a CF tube. Rudder is pull/pull for precision and an alloy servo extension is included.
The Turboraven is a high performance aerobatic model and regardless of EP or IC power, this is a model that the RC pilot will never tire of, capable of high speed with the right set up, combined with an excellent aerobatic ability, this is a great looking, practical every-day sport model that will really stand out at your airfield!

Looksverry light in fuz were wings join with tube sides seem to be film windows, as thers no balsa or ply . Ply looks well locked in but with flight stresses has any one flowen this model ,dose she hold up or is she an electric fuzz changes to glow ? asi like the look of this bird but the racer cat looks more traditional with ply balsa fuzz thanks *)
Hey Michael. I think I might bite the bullet and buy myself the Turboraven for a Xmas present. I don't care how long it takes to arrive. I bought a heap of stuff a few weeks ago hoping I'd get it before we closed for Xmas. Looks like I wont see that stuff till the new year now. I was about to buy the big white Nemesis but I reckon its gone up in price just before Xmas. I could have sworn it was $170 something a week ago. Now its $181. Yeah I know its only a few extra $$$ but it's the principle. I always thought Hobby King was great on their prices but I'm sure it was cheaper last week? maybe I'm just getting old (well* older)
hi Geoff I'm just up the road from Brighton, i spent some time there myself back in the late 70"s 40IRC / 12TH Battalion , but not there any more closed down & sold, back to nemesis i have the white one plenty of room for my ASP91 , the two srokes go very well i have had no problems at all , i have the asp 120 4 stroke as well on the HK L4 grasshopper goes very well and more than happy with that one two. that fs400r looks a beast be nice just to have one.
Hey Michael, Which Nemesis do you have, the big white one or one of the other smaller versions. I must admit that if I have to choose between a 75 or a 95 engine I prefer to go bigger, depending of course on how much room there is!
What is the performance like of the ASP? I see Hobby King have a larege selection of ASP engines. I am considering the ASP FS400R for a scratch build bipe I building. I see you live in good Ole Tassy. Last time I was in Tassy was at Brighton Army Barracks (during the fires back in the late 60's). It probably doesnt exist anymore?
Hey Michael Thanks for the feedback. I really like the Turboraven and the big Nemesis. I always fit bigger wheels where possible. I have left it a bit late to buy any new models before Xmas but I think after Xmas I'll be buying both the Turboraven and the Nemesis. How do you think they would go with O.S. 75Ax's fitted with 14x8 props? I believe the 75AX has the same footprint as the 61?
i dont know geoff should be ok if it fits, i also have the nemesis ,still in the box i have the ASP 91 with a pitts for it ,motor looks like it will fit no problem the nemesis has a very wide cowl good for side mount both nice birds
Hey Michael, thanks for the feedback. I was toying with buying this as another model for the collection but your feedback has made me reconsider my decision. Maybe I will wait a bit longer and see what other models come out. As for engine size if I can get a bigger engine in I do. Why drive with a 6 cylinder when you can have a V8.
hi geoff i have grown to like this plane now , it flys great and looks good in the sky, and i'm now running a asp 61 2 stroke inverted, i also fitted bigger wheels for my grass strip, and go rid of the poofy wheel pants it's good value for the dollars
yep i have one and it fits up better than .61 two stroke , the cowl is useless with the 2 stroke and dosn't fit due to the carbie on front and fuel tank is to long can't get hatch on , not real happy with this model at all , p's wing decals fell of.
if u know the wing area the airfoil type (including the empennage's) and the exact weight of the plane u cam work out the total wing loading this is needed to know if u can high launch the plane or if u need a bungee or can hand launch HTH
yes i know what you see .,i would Like it fatter but ,we cant be fussy Now ,I Have a 6354 that will fit , Like the Sbach 342-50e 1530mm needs,, this Is A lot cheaper and Is Just as strong as the Sbach, weight is not far different ,i see a winner and looks are deceiving get it and Load it with a 63 54 i would and might do it this week ,or sooner,
alot has changed in what i have seen and Learn . i will not build this,,tho might next year . i have many to fly as now ,dozens infarct . and due to scratch building ,i loose alot more time to share response. happy flying good days are coming soon for me .as you also ,will be happy flying with this.
now ,in great concern to people is to ask load and wing size ,I Like the Scale and the already found Great shapes and power plant required to Make certain conditions to your Favor ,Recent To this i near fell backwards when i found the DH Mosquito Fiberglass 1230mm (ARF) WOW,im in .mine is on the way.with duel 3536 1800kv .and 2x80 amp thats More like it ..lets all get this 1..
