I flew mine on 4S and on its second flight the port wing ripped off. Closer inspection on the ground showed two c/f tubes as wing-spars simply butt-joined at the fuselage. A complete waste of time as anyone who has built a model from scratch will know. I filed a warranty claim stating that the manufacture was faulty and that it didn't stand up to flying on 4S as they promised. Even though I said I had eyewitnesses to the thing falling apart in the sky, they suggested I was a liar and called it "crash damage"! So, a waste of time and money!

will the zippy compact 850 3 cell 25c fit in the spit fire

850's are a easy fit but it s reported that this plane is tail heavy so maybe 1300's would do better, that's what I use in the sea fury which is slightly smaller.

Elevator folded up on first high speed pass (not control horn failure). If your contemplating which funfighter to get, get the rarebear.

Nice looking model, was very hesitant to maiden it. Used a 700mah 4s pack, set CG to the groove at the fattest point of the wing, approx 38mm from the leading edge. Gave her full throttle and a good toss into the wind. It took off like a rocket, I pulled back on the elevator stick and it snapped into a near vertical climb instantly, at which point I realised I had the duel rates at 100pcnt. I turned them to 65pcnt and was able to fly easy. I flew around at bout quarter throttle for a bit, which was fairly nice and scale speed. I attempted a full speed fly by but quickly ran out of room. This thing is very quick and due to its size can become very small very quick. It can be extremely hard to tell the orientation of the aircraft from a distance and only attempting maneuvers can tell you which side is upright. This requires enough room between the aircraft and ground so keep a lot of altitude while getting to know the plane. Had a crash on landing as was landing on a diagonal away from myself. At about a meter the plane was rolled over ailittle causing the wing to clip the ground snappin the fuselage behind the rear wing. Glued together and is flying again.

Unfortunately you can't give zero crowns, by the look of it - says something about the rating system doesn't it! My Spitfire was rubbish - on only its second flight the wing ripped off because there wasn't a one-piece wing spar. Instead there were two pieces of c/f which weren't even glued together at the fuselage. HobbyKing wouldn't believe that it came apart in the air and said that I'd crashed it, which wasn't the case. I'm doubly p!ssed-off because I've wasted money, but also because they're saying that my claim was a lie. No consumer protection available of course, so be warned!
