This superb looking F4U from our top quality Durafly range and has enough scale detail and features to keep any warbird enthusiast happy. The 1100mm range offers the RC pilot a practical size model that can be easily transported and uses the ever popular 2200mAh 3s Lipoly pack, yet at the same time, the model is large enough to have presence and is able to tackle most airfields, not to mention a little wind, making it very practical.
As well as looking fantastic, this Corsair is plug and fly, meaning very little assembly work is needed. The powerful outrunner motor, ESC, navigation lights, servoless electric retracts & servos are all pre-installed leaving you to glue on the tailfeathers and some scale detailing, bolt on the plug in wings and go flying!
We have flown this superb F4U Corsair extensively during testing and it will not disappoint, there is plenty of power for those really scale warbird aerobatics and the airframe is viceless with no hint of a tip stall. The pre-installed flap servos have a nice, slow operation to help prevent ballooning and the flaps themselves allow the approach speed to get down to a crawl without a hint of wingrock. There is no doubt, this is one fantastic looking warbird and it flies as easily as a low wing trainer!
how hard is this thing to fly id love one as my pop was a corsair pilot in the war im not exactly great at flying but have had a couple of successful flights on my grasshopper and walrus there is the option of a buddy box system at the local field should i just go for it and grab one and hope for the best?
daine if you have already had some successful flights on the grasshopper (high wing trainer in my eyes)then I am sure you would be fine with the corsair. I have the mustang, spitfire and corsair and the corsair is smooth and stable. Just reduce the throws to about 70% on the ailerons to start with and gently give some up elevator on your take off and go from there. I love this planes stability...GO FOR IT MAN
Sure mate, being the rudder and not getting used so much you can rely on a plastic geared servo. I just replaced mine actually and the best servo would be the hextronic HXT900 9g found here at hobbyking for an amazing price of $2.99 (aus warehouse)
I would not recomend this plane at all. i recomend you start on a high wing trainer. In general war planes are quite a handful for the experienced pilot. So yeahlook for a trainer model. :)
you only get one prop mate Order an extra 2 x four blade ones when you order the plane. For some reason you can only order 2 at a time. Guessing they are popular. For a 2 blade you would go an 11 x 7. I got this plane yesterday, can't wait to get it out!
The weather here in Melbourne is **** at the moment also, im also waiting to give me Zephyr V70 another crack after the main wing ripped completely away from the Fuse on landing Saturday, speak to ya soon cheers
Hi ya 4first check this motor out I have this in my F4U as the 750kv that came with it-to me was slightly under powered but this motor pulls like a train, lots of torque an cruises around nice on 1/2 throttle I have installed a 45A ESC just to be safe

rebel I had to look but I did find them. They are on back order SORRY. You would think you would find them under the prop section. I looked the NO NO. I found the in the spare part section. SO: Planes ARF,RTF,KIT > Replacement Parts page 7 Durafly P-51/P-47 1100mm replacement Propeller. I hope this helps

As expected my order arrived very quickly from the Australian warehouse. No damaged in transit due to the double boxing and additional padding included between the two boxes. The plane went together fairly easily although I had to stop at a couple of points when the manual wasn't absolutely clear. The only really fiddly point was the centering of the tail wheel. The maiden was on a nice day with a little breeze but due to my own inattention, I took off with the ailerons reversed. This resulted in a hard landing which popped off one of the retracts (yes should have belly landed), destroyed the prop and some of the ornamental rockets (now discarded). A new prop and a double check of control surfaces later and she flew very nicely for a hand launch and belly landing. The CG was spot on where the manual indicated. The Corsair had plenty of power and responded well. Cant fault the plane for the price. She flights well and looks good to boot.

Durafly F4U Corsair w/flaps/retracts/lights 1100mm I have taken up flying model planes !! and of course they are electric HK ,Turnigy & Durafly what a great combination!! The Durafly F4U Corsair fly's well and looks very good added dropable bomb for added fun also 11 x 7- 2 blade Prop to learn on as 4 blade will break easily.Will add camera as soon as I get one that works,

My Corsair arrived safely in well packaged double cardboard and styro box from Australian Warehouse to Perth.
Putting it together was a breeze, with all packets labelled.
I am an experienced flyer, so spent the time getting all control surfaces lined up which pays off. We fly in a grass footy field park, and this plane took off perfect on the grass, and flew beautiful, without any need to trim or balance. COG is spot on and is very easy to fly, and looks awesome in the air. I ordered with 3000 battery, which fits perfect and has good flight time. Landing is a breeze also. It will just about land deadstick with only slight throttle, and looks really authentic as it floats in without any sign of tip stall, and lands well on grass without nose over. Highly recommended.

Love this plane, looks great , flys great, stock motor is pulling about 27-28amps on 3s 2200 battery. however its better on 4s battery, as on 3s you really need to fly at 70pcnt all the time. I've got a 3300mah 4s in mine, with 55am esc (and a separate 3a sbec: ID:TR-UBEC at only $4 worth it as just to many servo's here fro my comfort) , its pulling about 43amps on stock prop. also on 12/8 x3 blade (master airscrew) same load. (good option prop over stock, much stonger). THE CONs: 1)Thepaint is poor quality , rubs off easy, and hard to colour match. its a same they used such a low quality paint on this model. 2)tail wheel i heard is easy to break, and it does look very weak to me as its just cheap plastic, someone else with this plane advised me to drill it and put screw up through it to make it stonger. (It really should have been metal)
