Can this servo work on a 2S battery and not get burned up ?

Only servo's rated as HV will work with a 2s pack.

You can always put another servo plug on it if you really want a neat solution. Otherwise the polarity is still the same between JR and Futaba so just trimming the plastic connector until it fits also works.

Is this as good as the HS-55?

No not at all. I got some to try them and 3 of 4 worked ok. After a crash my hs-55 would've survived another one was gone for good.

I have this servo controlling the elevator on my EShock and it does its job more than better. Thus so far had no problems at all.
