I use mine for a SUPER fast zagi wing! 5*5 with 70-80 amp ESC 3s lipo! It puts out insane thrust with something like 220mph Pitch speed. I used a drill press and put some vent holes as there isn't any stock.
Hi, the battery you are searching for is not here on this site has i searched for it, a battery that is 100x bette than the nicd is a 3 cell lipo battery it is very powereful and can make your buggy 5x faster then it used to be, the bad thing is you have to buy a special balance charge at least $18.00 from this site, here is the www.link
The speed control That I recommend is a hobby king 60AMP speed control here is the link

I am using this on my pylon racer(Sunracer) APC 4.1x4.1 would give it about 70A, 750w with fresh 3s batteries. Tried up to 4.5x4.1 around 70~80A 800w motor gets pretty hot but had many flights with no trouble. I think this is the best setup for 400class pylon racer or for speedy racers!!!
Hi ! I bought one of this and is very very good ... dont hit and , for the price, is very relevant and chip. I put it in my boat too if a 60A ESC BOAT ! so nice !
arichards1969, if yours unscrews it is different to mine! the rear cap just prises off, it is glued! shaft is very soft, it cannot be removed from magnet rotor as it is bonded and knurled! the rotor breaks when attempted! give this motor a miss!!!
I got this motor myself, but I lost the istruction paper, and wonder if anyone know if I can run this motor on 4s. I run this on 3s now, but it draw so fast. Does anyone kno the voltage range for this? Hopeing for answer=)
HEY COOLMAN2 I HAVE A MINI MAG THAT WEIGHS 2 LBS. IAM USUING A HIGH MAX MOTOR 3516-1350 WITH A 9.7 PROP A 45AMP ESC. THIS BIRD SCREAMS . A LITTLE OVER 1/4 THROTEL AND ITS GONE LIKE A HOME SICK ANGEL. THE DOWN SIDE IS IT MUST LAND FAST. IAM BUILDING ANOTHER AND WILL KEEP IT LIGHT. I HEAR A 480 SIZE IS ABOT RIGHT 7.7 OR6.7 PROP. FELLONME3*msn**** let me know what u think.
The motor seems pretty well made, I wish it was labeled in some way though. I used a Dremel to engrave the model and kv on the case. As others have said, the 9S motor is 4300kv. The 8S by this manufacturer is the 4900kv.
I tried this in the 2.68" EDF unit. I wouldn't recommend this motor for this fan myself, unless you have batteries to back it up. In a bench test, this set up drew almost 60A on a 3S pack! My pack held 10V at that draw, so the fan absorbed about 600W at about 40000rpm. At that, it gave an eflux of about 135mph and just over 1000g of thrust.
I would recommend a lower kv motor for this fan, but this motor really packs a punch!

This great little motor powered my 2,5" UH EDF. But attencion by perfect balanced rotor. The real KV is 4300/V. This is an great upgrade set for the UH L 39, the plane take off after 30/40m from gras!! Following verticle klimb and have a thrust ~ 12N. Great stuff for penny!
