is there a programming card for MAG8 ESCs? The manual is written in freakin' Chinese English and the programming by stick is a pain in the a***. Any help welcome. Cheers!

I got this combo w while ago and one of the ESC's seemed to have problems. I think it was to do with the programming and I lost the instruction sheet. can anyone show me one online or can you tell me how to set the ESC to default settings? I also have a 18Z skyartec ESC and would the programming be the same because that has the same problems. Basically it just wont go properly and i think its the programming.

Hi, I am new to rc planes and i was woundering if the battery had to match the motor and esc. If so will the Zippy Flightmax 1000mAh 2S1P 15C work with this combo.

It will work,but performance will not be a 100 percent.You should go with a 3 cell lipo and about 15-25C.

You have to buy a connection of some sort.You do not need a prop saver, you just tighten the nut to the prop.

Is the 10 x 4,7 prop adequate in a Slow Stick with 2s 1300 Li-po? Would anyone suggest any other prop?

Very powerful with a 11.1V i can fly all my parkjets with it. very goodd quality and insanely cheap.

I do not have this exact motor, but have a 2410-8 which is not as powerful as this one. With a 3S 2200 my Slow Stick can take off in about 4 feet and climb out vertically slowly. My friend uses a 2S. With a 2S it won't have unlimited vertical, but will fly nicely. He hauls a camera on his SS for aerial photography. The main problem you will have is overspeeding the Slow Stick and fluttering the wings if they are built stock, though you will have less of a problem with flutter on 2 cells. With a 3S battery (and my slightly weaker motor) level flight must be limited to 1/2 throttle or the stock wing flutters. We found that if we epoxy the fiberglass rods on to the wings rather than taping them, and filling the dihedral crack with Gorilla Glue, the flutter is mostly eliminated. Overall I'd highly recommend using a motor like this on the SS. The ability to get out of trouble with the power of these motors will find you trying things you never thought you would try with a SS.

I forgot to mention that I have used the 11x4.7 prop with mine with great flight success, an unlimited fairly slow vertical climb, though with the longer prop I get more ground strikes.

Bought one of these combos - from the beginning the motor ran extremely hot and burnt out after the second flight.

Not sure about the speed-controller - short circuited the wires and burnt that out as well before I had used it!
