hello guys, what should i use for "Turnigy L2210-1400 Bell Style Motor (210w)"? this one or (6"*5")???
 MohElg 40 points
i`m sorry i mean (8"*5")
 Hammbone 62 points
I would use that one.
 Yoseph8 1 points
Works well with my 1400kv motor. I am getting better results with a 7'4 but it is harder to find. I was using a 6'4 but was not getting enough torque to get high in the air. 6'4 made me work harder to get same results

Original APC propellers are different for elettric or glow engine (for glow, the props are harder). Does are these good for glow? I've a 2,5CC (max 17.000 rpm)

thanks
 Ninjatech 3646 points
Not sure about that...they definitely fit the electric planes but for just a dollar it worth to try though ...
 Andriy 102 points
APC are stronger than GWS. they are from glas fibre not plastic. You can try them. I use them on electric 16500 rpm. it's all right.
 Qba007PL 119 points
No, you can't use it for glow engine. That propeller is made only for electric engines. Use this propeller with a glow engine can result in rupture of the propeller, because of vibrations and rpm. For glow engines use propellers dedicated to use on it. PRODUCT ID: MA0840 is the best propeller for you. And it don't cost too much.
 toggles 11 points
Don't do it, I snapped one of these inflight performing a Lomcovák, they are not designed for glow engines.

is this prop any good with the spitfire 4038-15 Brushless outrunner 700kv or is the 12x6 prop better?
 DennisT1 162 points
This will be way to small. Stock prop is 11x6 3 blade. Going to a two blade prop, you'll need to go larger in diameter (make sure you have ground clearance). I would stick with the original size unless you have a performance reason to change it, and then make only small changes at a time.

cheers, i saw on another page where people were saying this prop was ok> anyway, got any other ideas about a 2 blade prop?
 DennisT1 162 points
Here is a decent article about it - page 2 top specifically, though keep in mind you are going the other way on the conversion(remove the spaces) ... http : // masterairscrew . com / manualinstructions / SELECTING_A_PROPELLER2a . pdf

Can I use it with a 1200KV motor??
 Vivek 9 points
Yes you can use it...

 Gustavo 17 points
For the most cases, yes.
 GooberSB 24 points
Yes. They come with a large bore and different size reducers that snap into it. You still need to drill out a small piece of the bore, though, that acts as a stop for the reducer.
 edison 8 points
For a small plane yes but a 1500kv is better with this prop.
 Marinho 136 points
Yes, you can, I believe with the 3S batteries you have have a very good thrust.
 mick au1404 4 points
U sure can depending on what amperage ya esc is and hopefully with this prop on your motor you are not 'overamping' your esc
 BiSoN 16 points
yeap2
 John 6 points
These props are excellent, in particular I am using the 8x4 on an 1800kv motor with a 3s battery with no problems. It depends how many volts you are putting through your motor and therefore what rpm your motor is running at.
 Jimmy 5 points
I have tryed this pro on a 1300 kv 450 motor it gets a little hot. Tryed the 7x6-E apc worked perfect. Have this on rc DC-3 twin 30 amp esc. balance is very nice.

This was another scam question from Vivek... just to let you guys know, as well as the next question was (just underneath this question) and the guy keeps getting awarded credit from Hobbyking. Notice miraculously every person that posts a question is from india that he answers from? and then vivek answers the question with a "yes" or "no" style answer and he gets credits awarded? This is a shame to the rest of the community. As well as everyone's benefits for having this "credit awarded" feature is tarnished and abused. HOBBYKING GET THIS GUY BANNED - HE IS SCAMMING YOU!

Yes well packed in plastic...

I bought 4 at one time and all came inside one plastic bag, not in a bubble plastic bag.
 Gustavo 17 points
It will not break in travel.
 Kstel 4 points
Yes, and its very hard to break one of this prop.
 gerryman 11795 points
nunca me llego ninguna deteriorada, saludos
 BobFuzie 9 points
the prop will be wrap with buble plastic.... dont wory......
 John 6 points
Mine always come well packed in a box, I usually buy these props to use up the weight allowance on air mail so they are usually packed in with something else.

my prop is lose for the motor?
 MarceloMMY 93 points
I´m so sorry.
 Vivek 9 points
Use the small connecters which you got with th prop...
 Marinho 136 points
Use the small plastic rings that came with the prop or install a prop saver.
 GooberSB 24 points
Yes, they come with a very large bore. That's what the little rings are for that come with the prop. Find the one that fits your motor shaft the best and put it in the center of the propeller. If your motor shaft is very small (like 2mm) you may need a prop adapter that converts your shaft from 2mm or so to 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, etc. You need one anyway if the motor shaft is not threaded.
Adhin  1 points - 5/22/2011

personal experience with the prop???
 pernstig 10 points
I use this prop in my 900 gram delta with Turnigy 3530-1700 motor and 3S LiPo It works very good, just like the original APC-E
 Vivek 9 points
very good prop..
 Gustavo 17 points
I use this one for fast flights
 GooberSB 24 points
It's very strong and doesn't break nearly as easily as a GWS prop. But it's heavier too.
 Marinho 136 points
Flying on areas with "hard floor" , sometimes is needed to balance the prop again. I use it on 2204/14 engine with good results, the 170g plane flight has a lot of power.
 evandro behne 5 points
Very goog prop.....
 gerryman 11795 points
he tenido muy buen resultado con estas helices, hace mucho que las uso tanto en entrenadores como en 3D foamys, saludos
 Gregi 55 points
Very efficient, little heavy and little hard (not much flexible). The quality/price rate - OK. Balancing? You have to balance all props. Always. That's a rule.
 Tomas 6 points
very strong
 John 6 points
Excellent prop, I use in a flying wing with 1800Kv with a 4900 Rhino battery, and I haven't found a better prop for it despite trying several others.
Vivek  7 points - 5/22/2011

How is the vibartion of the prop??
 Vivek 9 points
not much of a problem... a nice prop
 pernstig 10 points
Perfektly OK. No difference compared to the original APC prop
 Marinho 136 points
Usually well balanced, but always is good to check it before install on motors.
 JRBeaman 318 points
Most everyone recommends that you balance your props. (Or at least check it.) This prop is no different. It's not that hard to do, I recommend you look into it and set yourself up with the proper gear for all your flying.
 BobFuzie 9 points
i use this prop for 2 years for my plane no problem at all....powerful with TP2409_12D motor...
 Tomas 6 points
no vibration in this prop
 Nataly 5 points
to prevent vibration, every new propeller to balance.
Sreedhar  4 points - 5/22/2011

Do they break easily?
 Vivek 9 points
no they dont they are hard..

 pernstig 10 points
My 1200 mm delta is a pusher without undercarriage and the prop breaks immediately if not horisontal at landing, just like the original APC prop does.
 Marinho 136 points
No, but if you fly on areas with "hard floor" , sometimes is needed to balance the prop again.
 GooberSB 24 points
Nope. But they are heave for lightweight planes.
 gerryman 11795 points
son muy fuertes, te recomiendo setear el speed sin freno, asi es mas dificil de romperlas al aterrizar, se acomodan solas si tocan el suelo, logico que si el avion cae de punta, se pueden romper, saludos
 John 6 points
They do not seem to break any more easily than other similar props, and are such a good price.
Sreedhar  4 points - 5/22/2011

Does this fit prop saver?
 Vivek 9 points
Hmm the centre of the prop is bit big.. U vl need a bigger prop band than normal...
BEST ANSWER CREDIT AWARDED
 GooberSB 24 points
Yes. They come with a large bore and 6 reducer rings that should fit any size motor shaft or prop saver (assuming the motor is appropriate for this prop).

24 thumbs up!
I can't tell you what its doing in the way of amp draw because I don't have an e-meter, but I can tell ya that they are working fine as replacements for APC props for me.
I have one of the Tower Pro 2409-12T and 25amp combo deals on my Ele-bee 48 inch wing. It hauls butt on this setup and an APC 8x4 prop with the Hextronik 1700mah or 2200mah 3s1p batteries. This setup also doubles as my AP plane and EASILY takes my Nikon 3700 camera up VERY high in a matter of seconds The only problem was I was sick of breaking the much more expensive APC 8x4 props which I tend to do sometimes on a bad launch when I have the extra weight of my camera on the model. So I decided to try these clones, and they are great! The diamter of the hole is smaller on these so you may need to drill them out to use a prop adapter. I'm just using the standard little Tower pro nuts and washers with the 2409-12Ts threaded shaft and it works great.

Put this on a foamy after I broke too many gws props when belly landing. After 10plus flights, no problems. I will order many more.

4 thumbs up!
Of all the items in my order, only these APC-like props were wrapped in cardboard.
Upon unpacking them the reason became obvious... Their edges are sharp and jagged, capable of inflicting a nasty gash to anyone not careful enough, while merely touching them...

The trailing edge being sharp is something I can understand, but at subsonic air-speeds, the leading edge must be round, for best efficiency - not sharp!

I have not yet flown with this prop, but I am sure this inefficiency will manifest itself in flight.
So, I am sure to work over the blades with a knife and fine sand-paper, before using them for their first flight.

3 thumbs up!
These props are excellent. I used the on my GWS Formosa with a Towerpro 2409-12 motor and W25A ESC. Have also used this combo with an APC 8x4E prop. No real difference in performance. At 1/3 the cost of the APC prop, its a steal !

Considering the price, I had expected these props to be very fragile but that is actually not the case at all. My freinds and I bought 9 of these for our 3 models and we're still using the first prop!
Setup: Hobbycity motor/ESC/prop combo but with this prop instead of the one that came along with the combo.
