A slow fly propeller is designed for smaller outrunner motors, typically the towerpro bell motors or slightly larger. They most suited to run on smaller planes at a lower RPM. Also great for gearbox reduced motors. A slowfly propeller typically has a spoon shaped blade.
I believe it is for a 3mm hole.. The discription stated that it is best with these TowerPro brushless motors. These motors all have 3mm motor shafts. Hope this helps you out..
It has a 3mm hole but can be easily modified using a drill. the propeller comes with different shaft adapters. this is a very reliable propeller...
I bought 9x of these wonderful propellers and used them to fly my Yak 54 3D Foamy… My plane’s setup is a bit underpowered and overweight.
To help you visualize how this propeller performs, here’s my setup:
- YAK54 EPP 3D Foamy (truly unbreakable)
- ZIPPY Flightmax 1300mAh 7.4v 20c Battery
- Corona RD620II Receiver
- TowerPRO W30A (30Amp) ESC
- TowerPRO 2408-21T Motor
- Turnigy TG9e Servo (3x)
- Prop Saver (with rubber band)
- TP 9x6 Prop
All of the above mentioned items were bought from Hobbyking. The plane is indeed underpowered, fat and overweight. But with this propeller, it seems to handle the tremendous weight just okay (in full throttle though when hovering). I have checked the total weight of the plane using a digital weighing scale just before flight and it reads 403 grams … I have not yet checked the total thrust of the system or the total amp drawn in full throttle.
I have crashed the plane so many times, hard belly landing, stalls, nose dives, inverted flight crashes, even a head-on collision with a concrete wall (I got disoriented, too bad not in full throttle). I have been using it for a month and a half now and so far, I have only manage to break 2 props.
I highly recommend this propeller to everyone… You may also just buy one and try breaking it during flight, hope your plane doesn’t break before the prop does. Cheers everyone…
