I'm confused on shipping in USA what's the cheapest way?
 Arxangel 982 points
Just add the quantity you need and go to checkout. You will have options for shipping, choose the cheapest. I've found that ordering batteries is cheaper when you have only batteries in your order.

will the micro servo's rated from 4-6v be ok on 7.4 v?
 Arxangel 982 points
When the battery is fully charged the voltage is actually 8.4V. I have tried running 5V servos on 8.4V and the results are bad. The servos jitter all the time and get really hot. It's a wonder I didn't burn them. You should connect the battery to the ESC, the ESC will give 5-6 volts (depending on model) to the receiver, which in turn will power the servos at their recommended V rating. If you have a glow engine model you should get a special on board receiver battery pack that is designed for this.

How can I hook up this battery to the HK orange Rx 415? The 415 Rx has a funny adapter I've never seen before? It's not a just... It's called a micro molex???
 Arxangel 982 points
Sub-micro servos and ESCs usually have this type of connector since this Rx is supposed to be used in micro models. The connector is called Micro JST, but sadly HK does not offer such connectors separately.

i tried to send hobbykings customer service a email and it comes back not deliverable so how else do you get a answer fropm hobbyking cuz the phone reps. dont seem to know nothing nor does the online chat personal they just have a computer to check your account and cannot answer tech or logistics questions they just change or cancel orders any otherwise your S.O.L. trying to get a problem solved and now you can't get a email to who ever takes care of the major problems either.. hobbyking I.M.H.O. your slip sliding away in to the worse hobby supplier there is...you should run a customer satifaction poll every three to six month just to see how much you slipping under with your customerb satifaction.. it just might make you a far better company than you are now altho that would'nt take much at this point
 Dreamcatcher 49 points
i used once the "live chat". It was not very easy but finaly it have been efficient, they solved my problem. You had a problem with a flightmax 500mAh 2S lipo ? I bought at least 10 of them since 3 years and never had any issue
 o1hoegetter 1617 points
the only issue that i have is after i bought the battery they canceled my order for the plane i was gonna use it in.. i have about forty different planes and none of them use this small of battery

This item is a few dollars, why do you need to get so wound up over it? If it doesnt work as you expected, dump it and get something else, will save you a lot of aggrevation and heart desease in the long run. Anyway I got one and it's just as advertised, no problems on my part.

is this battary can power a receiver and 4 servos ?
 brushy 6 points
Of course! This battery is able to deliver about 10 Amps (20C * 0,5 Amps). BUT!: Take care of the Voltage you need! this one will deliver between 7,4V and 8,4V depending on the charging state. Regards brushy
 Marcelo Soares 20 points
Is better not to use to power the receiver and servos. The maximum voltage that the receiver can handle is 6v. This battery delivers 7.4v
 RCSpeeder 15 points
I use this lipo on 4 servos. It's not the battery but the esc that you are using if it can take few servos. SO do check your esc ratings.
A.J. Van der Plas 87 points
It is 20c rates wich means a maximum output of 20x0.5=10 amps. Unless your are using servo's wich draw 3 amps each, yes. You can use this to power your servo's and receiver.

it's leightweight and super-small.
 RCSpeeder 15 points
It's not about the battery. It's about your esc rating.
 00youknowit00 6 points
yes, itll handel that, i'd go with an 800mAh to get longer flights if you can handel that in your plane, but thats just me.
 Jaroslav 1 points
Most definitely, although you did not mention the size of servos. For regular servos, yes.
 bennetje 30 points
Yes, it can deliver 0.5 x 20 = 10A if needed!
 Andy 16 points
Yes, although do use a cell monitor.
 Crazy Pilot 28 points
It should, if they are small also...

 Gagenie 43 points
Don't plug this direct into your rx unlesse it can take 8.4 volts else = fry your rx.

Some people have said they are replacing the deans with JST. Does JST fit on 14gage wire?
 matt 15 points
jst could work, but mine came with jst, its a small battory and deans are kinda heavy anyways/
Cesar  9 points - 6/23/2009

I want to use this on Blimpduino. What kind of JST connector do I need to solder on?
 mashahbaz 45 points
It already comes with a JST connector

10 thumbs up!
Nice battery, only thing i have a problem with is the deans style connector, i have to change it to the JST one, i would have thought that at ten amps max this connector would have been more appropriate

I have been using these Zippy brand 2 cell 500s in many foamies in the last few weeks. They charge up to full capacity each time and don't drop too much under load.

Fully recomended!

I don't understand why you would put a Dean T connector on a 500 mah battery or for that matter on a 800 mah pack. The battery is going to be used on a small plane so why not just put a JST red on there with compatible wire. I replaced all the T connectors and saved 3 gms per pack and it doesn't take up near as much room either.
