Faz aterragens espectaculares e faz toda a acrobacia.
easy.If you use a lipo 2200 ma 11,1 v 3s 35 c very near the engine. After that you put 25 gr balastre in the side suport of the engine and is done. The CG in louwst wind is very near of the board. If you go to top wing try 1/3 of the wing from the board.
Nice flights
would a donkey motor
( http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem .asp?idProduct=15201 ) work on this? i am using a 12x7 prop. i am looking for a plane to put it on, after my scratchbuilt fpv flour bomber died a sad death. i am worried that motor may be too heavy/powerful for this airframe.
beezlebub sorry I cannot find you Donkey Motor. But this is a large plane and would require a 3542 which is 35mm round and 42mm long. So I hope this helps
Definetely more for pattern/sport. I have a 3600mah 4s with the 1000kv new SK3 motor, and its amazing. Unlimted vertical, its rolls arent perfect. But I never expected a biplane to roll straight. Its a nice plane to fly around gently and pull straight up, and watch it disappear in a flash. XD Its dual ailerons setup is hard to get perfect, mine could do with a bit more work on them as its not the greatest. :)
Not a plane for 3D. It flyes beautifuly but pure sport. The reason your rolls are not perfect is because it has an error in the aileron conecting rod design. Both ailerons need to be connected from the end, not how instructions tell. I have pictures of mods if you need. fquevedo*gtp****.gt
Bacter you are in luck. If you click on
"This product available from a warehouse near you!"
at the bottom of the Photo page it will take you to the same plane available in Australia. but it is a little more. Also for the next 18 days (3 Only) it also available on E B A Y. For almost the same price here but only AUS POSTAGE. I hope this helps.
another question, are 4 servos same size or should i use (19mm x 33mm) for ele-rudder and regular 9g for ailerons, ad doesn't specify, some advice thanks.
I have a Turnigy 3542 1000kv motor, a 2650mah 3s battery and a few HXT900 servos. I watched the flite test video about them servos but they didnt really say anything about how well they actually performed, really the only thing stopping me from buying this plane. Is the 2650mah battery enough for this plane? I do have some 3600mah 4s packs, but that might be a bit overkill? :D
Adman i have not flown this plane yet as i just ordered it however by experience with that motor i can say that with 3s 2650mah and a 12" propeller you will have good performance, now if you go for 4s 3600 you should reduce the prop to 11" or even 10" at least, get your CG properly done and with this set up you will have ulimited vertical performance and long flight times.
On 3s 2650mah is fine but the tail still heavy if you have 3600mah or 4000mah 3s is fine to avoid adding some weights on front nose. This plane is nice and easy to fly it glides on dead stick see my new review. Hope this helps.
This plane is not suitable for beginners. Nitro might not be the best powerhouse for this plane as it looks to be a bit fragile to withstand the ic motor vibration. Please click "ok" for "is this the best answer" if you think this is.
Not exactly the best choice for a beginner, if you want to have a good start i recommend you any high wing such as cessna, j-3 cub, decathlon etc, there is a nice 1600mm wingpan high wing balsa trainer in here which you can add a nitro engine in, it would fly nice with any 40-60 engine.
Good rule of thumb is 150W/pound for everyday flying and at least 200W/pound for 3D and more agressive styles. Over powering some is usually not a bad thing long as U don't get nose heavy. Not sure what your 480 puts out?? Watt meter sold here is a great tool for propping and checking draw on esc!!
go ahead and order it chances are its out for a while or its back orderd and they cant keep them in stock ,it could be a waiting line ,the same thing happing with the TURNIGY TRANSMITTERS i had to place my order and came within a month but never should in stock.
Its not the 105. I think it was the 106..I ysed the 105 and its too yellow...Send a link to Spitfire on the pitts build He used the correct one.. What did you break.
That was just a little piece above the left Landing Gear when it twisted but just used clear tape. Just had a crash yesterday
The wings broke off the fuselage. Surprised how tough this bird is. Will be an easy fix. Have to dremel out wing tabs and reinstall new ones and repair wing mounts for upper and lower wings. Might not even need covering but will order it just in case.
105 Cyan-Yellow is a perfect color match, but is a little thicker material than orginal. I recovered the front 1/2 of mine and colorwise cant tell the difference.
I see that this plane has been sold on here for well over a year, it's stocked in the Aus, US and HK warehouse but not EUR (DE), guess where I'm from. Trouble is the kits heavy which when added with postage makes it a bit of a no no as it very nearly doubles the price. Are there any plans for it to come to t he EUR (DE) warehouse? If so any idea when?
anyone who owns one of these planes know what size are the wheels? I fly off a grass field and need the larger wheels. On my trainer I went from a 1.5 inch ( 37.5 mm) to a 2.5 inch (62.5 mm) and even in parts that is not enough
Steve B, thanks that will be a factor if I buy or need to replace LG. With HK it is always something, they save here but it cost there. Now if I could only get and answer on the Turnigy TX/RX if it can be used as a trainer box with another HK RADIO?????
Not sure about the size, but I would definitely advise to remove the wheel pants. I have bought 2.25 inch scale allow hub rubber wheels and will fit them on my Pitts without wheel pants.
After 6 months and major modification, I would not recommend this plane. I had to replace the: -landing gear, very soft, ***r aluminum bends out and back with every landing, even with reinforcement. -motor mount, just disintegrated after a few flights. Replaced it with a HobbyKing aluminum mount that also flew apart, soft aluminum. The materials are very ***r, soft ply and aluminum. I now understand the low price.
Also required much reinforcement to the airframe. Ah well, it seems I need to relearn this lesson time and again: "You get what you pay for!"
some time ago and I have it and recommended it to a friend thought it would be very sensitive to its construction in balsa but now that you and I see that is flying strong I recommend it
Funny that, Im still using the OEM UC and un modified mounts. Had one hell of a hard landing last week and still no breakage...I did use flying wires between the struts...Also is glow powered.
I'm thinking of getting this as my first electric plane (have flown many a nitro). With the sd 35-42 1000kv and a 3s lipo (2200 20c & 2650mah 30c) would this plane be 3d capable? Also what kinda flight times can I expect? Lastly will tower pro mg90 servos work? Thanks!
This is not really a hardcore 3D plane, not enough aileron surface and not enough rudder throw. You will be able to do some mild 3D but that is all. I have mine set up with: - Turnigy Aerodrive SK 35-42 1000KV motor - Turnigy Plus 40A ESC - Zippy Flightmax 3000mAh 3S - TGS Sport 12X6E - Corona DS-929MG for ailerons - HXT D-MG16 for rudder and elevator
I find that 90% of people who own a 3D plane don't fly 3D but do basic moves you could do wth much lesser plane. This is not a 3D plane but looks nice in the air and wouldn't be bad to own.
I have about 2 hours on this plane, and am pleased with its performance. The CG that works best for me is 4.5 inches behind the leading edge of the top wing. This puts it about at the leading edge of the bottom wing, a difficult place to test. I suggest turning it upside down and balancing on the top surface of the top wing.
What the carbon chassis I can buy in your shop instead of what go in the complete set? What size?

41 thumbs up!
First flight this week and it was as smooth as silk ! Flew as if on rails. Slows down well for landings and floats down gently every time. Motor I used is a turnigy 35-42B 1250KV 10x5 prop 3S 2200Mah zippy. A lower KV motor maybe better with a larger prop, this motor is pretty fast. I guesstimated the CG as it was not in the instructions. I have it at 90mm back from the top wing LE.This makes it level with the lower wing LE. Buy one soon !
this plane look's grate and flys grate, my setup is: TGY AerodriveXp SK Series 35-48 90 D-MG16 Metal Gear 2.9kg/.08sec/18. hexTronik PRO 80A BESC w/ PC Progr TGS Sport 12x6E Precision propell The servos need's 1/2mm more room, otter than that everithing fits perfekt. I vil by a nother and putt nitro in it mayby a ASP Four Stroke 52FS Glow Engine :-)

15 thumbs up!
Model came well packed and arrived undamaged. The model itself is nice quality. Mine unfortunately did have a rather serious fault. The fuselage had a very bad twist in it. With the wing and tail installed the tail is about 10 degrees out of alignment with the wing!
I've fixed it by stripping the covering, steaming the structure and twisting it back into alignment. It's ok now but I need to re-cover it which is a bit frustrating.

12 thumbs up!
Good value and flys great with good lines in the air.
Built with Hacker A30-10XL, CC 54 amp ESC with CC 5 amp UBEC, APC 11x5.5 prop and Rhino 2350 4s battery.
Balance and power good with this set-up and unlimited vertical climb.
One minor problem, canopy blew off during knife edge flght as magnets not strong enough. Cut hole in rear underside to relieve inside pressure build up.
WOW! This EP-Pitts 42 inch Electric ARF is one awesome plane and the price is perfect compared to any other BiPlane on the market. Since this is my first plane purchased from Hobby King, I am totally impressed with thier quality of workmanship on this plane, very nice. I can't wait to get airborne with this magnificent beauty. Thank you Hobby King for comming up with a winner. Shipping to Canada was very fast. I give this plane 10 stars. RGS
