The new number one in performance and price! The new Turnigy Lipoly packs deliver full capacity at the said C rate. You wont find a better deal in Lithium Polymer batteries anywhere!
Hey guys
just looking at getting new batteries for my HBFP v2 been flying for about a year now and the three that i bought with it (Esky 800 Mah 11.1v) where alright but cost $30 each. Should have bought these!!! however i just wanted to check they would fit. Also if these batteries where actualy the best or whether a 1000 mah would be better. Can't go smaller otherwise the heli would be to tail heavy (the batteries currently sit as far forward as they can go).
Thx in advance
Oscar
It depends on your charge rate. Rule of thumb is to charge at 1-2c. Basically what that means is 1-2 times the capacity =charge rate in amps. Since this is a relatively small battery, I would limit charging it above an amp. at that rate if it was half charged, it should take approx. 20 minutes to charge fully. Hope this helped!
This battery fits perfectly on top of my mini sumo robot "Destroyer 3000" 60mm length limit, for driving 2x12v 1000rpm DC motors.

Hi there,
There are mixed messages in this discussion forum.
I bought this batteries together with a 2s/3s charger from turnigy, with an output of 650mah PER CELL.
The maximun battery charge load is 2c, for this 800mah it will be 1600mah.
What I don't understand now is:
-If I just consider the charger to charge at 650mah, I am charging well under 1c.
-If you consider the charger to charge at 650mah x 3 cells = 1950mah. This amount is about 2.4c
Can someone please tell me which of the above is right?
Is a charger that provide 650mah/cell appropriate for this 800mah 3cell battery?
Thanks!
To avoid confusions, please only reply if you are 100% sure...
The cells are in series so voltage increases but current stays the same I.e. each cell has a rating of 800maH at 3.7v and is still 800maH even with three cells.
You will have no problem charging this battery at 650maH it will just take longer than 1 hour.
Personally, I don't like to charge at over 1C for Li-Poly batteries.
Well, I would recommend you to buy a charger that is capable of charging Lipo batteries at low current levels. Most Lipo batteries are safe to be charged at 1C or below. That means you need a charger that charges on rate around 800mAh or below.
Thanks.
On the first, no idea. I've never had one. Read the reviews under the product for a general idea.
On the second, that's getting too complicated for quick answers here. Head over to RCGroups**** where you can show pictures of your problems and I'm sure someone will pop in to help.
It depends entirely on the plane. If you are using a larger motor it can be as little as between 3 and 4 minutes. Using a much smaller motor you'll get much more.
I have a plane using an 8 amp motor and get a good 12-15 mins out of it (depending on how hard I fly).
Without knowing what plane it's going into it's pretty impossible to tell you what to expect unfortunately.

se le monti al kinetic queste batterie possono durare anche 10 min. ovviamente non tenere sempre il motore al massimo poichè motore e regolatore si scaldano un po' ..
Hiya , I got one of these squeezed in a walkera transmitter. I am flying almost daily for a week now and I still did not recharge it! These are very good LiPo packs.
Yes, it will take a little longer to charge but will work fine. Unless specified otherwise you want to ensure that your charge current is no more than your battery capacity. In this case 650mA < 800mA so you are OK.
hello.
i think, it will be good for 800 mAh lipo, but not for 500mAh. best charging for lipo batteries are 1C, and output on this charger is 650 mAh...it is dangerous for smaller capacity batteries. you can not change output linear from 0-650mAh on this charger! be carrefuly.
Yes ! With absolutely no problem ! And you can charge any 2S 3S battery ! Just consider this : Time of charge will change in function of the battery capacity with your charger.
I recommend that HK web developers implement functionality that would be not answer the question proposed to her and just disappear from the list of questions of our accounts, so we can do a better job. Could also be filtered the questions where the best answer already as been chosen. Unregistered users (Customer) should not be able to ask questions because they could not choose the best answer and give the 20c to someone.
Which connector do you use for the ESC-Batt connection in 250 size heli? This battery came with the JST connector but I am in doubt whether it can carry the current without problem. Please advise me a connector to exchange with the JST. BTW, Happy new year!:)
well JST will work. But I will tell you what i have told many others. GET A DEANS! you'll be happier! :) just cut the wires out on both ends and replace the connectors to male and female deans.

Has anyone tried charging at the stated 2C charge rate. It would be good if I could ***p these out of my chargers faster. Or I buy a 2x2S charge adapter.
Good catch, but I think that's a misprint on the HC site. The only place that 2C charge rate is mentioned anywhere is in that data table* the packs themselves don't have that marking anywhere.
Time to contact HC and have them fix that data table, eh?
Generally, Turnigy batteries can safely be charged at a 2c rate, I do it all the time with no ill effects. It says 2c limit charge rate on the back of the battery.
this has less power. less UUUmph to recover from a falling helicopter(a little), U get what you pay for ( so these will have a shorter life) and you will have keep a close watch on them while charging. The battery works perfectly fine if balanced regularly and not drained too much. I use this company without an issue. except from that.. this will give u a little less flight time.. like a minute less at the max.
2 thunderpower pro power 30c packs... fairly even... Both had good crisp instant-on power... no complaints plenty of power to slam out of anything... very good quality packs...
2 turnigy 20c 800mah packs...
battery 1 - Slower less crisp less instant power... kinda feels mushy when you do full pitch pumps... slower to react, but still has plenty of power to throw a heli around fairly decent...
battery 2 - WOW I've ordered 2 more to try out... even if this is a hit and miss on packs, it will be well worth every penny... I will also post how these packs feel after a few more flights...
At the Low Price HK sells these... Get a couple... you won't regret it...
Battery 2 - This pack worked better and gave more crisp instant-on power than the TP Propower batterys... this pack is easily as good as the TP pack...

I use these in my TRex 250. I can't tell any difference from the stock Align batteries at 3X the price. Will buy more

I am using this battery on my TREX250 plus 14T pinion. Its size is just nice for T250 and power is OK for hovering and traveling around the yard. If you are not the power absurd, this battery is nice to learn hovering and flying around. However, you need to know how to adjust your pitch and throttle curve to match with battery power. Once you can find sweet spot, it is cheaply fun with this battery and stop asking for the pricey 25-30C from Align.
