Hitec HS-485HB Deluxe servo 4.8kg/45g/0.22sec

Hitec HS-485HB Deluxe servo 4.8kg/45g/0.22sec
HS-485HB updates the very popular HS-475HB by adding more torque and greater speed. With a top ball bearing, heavy duty, high impact Karbonite gears and high performance circuitry, the HS-485HB offers lots of torque and features excellent centering and resolution.
*See Karbonite guidelines below

Features:
Applications: Helis and Aircraft up to 72 or up to 12lbs when using just one servo per control surface.

Note: Be aware that high vibration gas (not glow) engines combined with large contol surfaces and large thows (3D models) can put undue strain on the gears. Metal geared servos are recommended for these applications even if under 12lbs.

Warning:
Do not use thread lockers on Karbonite geared servo as it will cause the output shaft to fail.

Hello, all of you. Can you use this servo HS-485HB for swash of flybarless? I am worried about the speed in the specifications of this servo being slow(0.22sec). In addition, do you feel the disadvantageous point by this servo being analog?
 Matej 30 points
It's not a problem that they are analog, but if it has speed 0,22sec it's too slow. It would also be a good idea to use a bit sronger servo for cyclic. For what heli (how big) you need servos?
 Matej 30 points
Sorry didn't saw that it's for Gaui Hurricane550. Look for 6 to 7 kg servos, with speed around 0.10sec. But if you need servos for 3D flying, you have to use even stronger and faster servos.

can this servo turn 360 deg.?
 jjranger 8 points
No the Servo will not turn 360 deg. Majority of all servos will turn from Center no more than 60 deg, 120 deg total. Hope that helps

Will this servo be ok to use on a 6.5Kg spitfire, with a 1.20 4stroke engine?

IT will be OK BUT IT IS A 1.20 SIZE SO YOU ARE PUSHING IT AND MAY FAIL, I WOULD RECOMMEND A Hitech 625 IT WOULD BE PERFECT, CHEERS ANTHONY

Would these work for and be safe to use on .50 size nitro heli swash?
 znunes 42 points
hitec are considered very reliable, but you might want to overshoot on performance, try a little higher torque, .50 heli is an investment
 HellyFlyer 1249 points
yes this will surely work on a 50 size NItro heli, I use these on my Raptor 50 but would not receommed these for tail servo's

Is possible to use this servo for a ground station to make the mechanical part?. Is it possible to to make it 360?
 Gurcan 1 points
Yes you can use it with Futaba receiver..No problem because i have too futaba receiver.
 Joaquin Leonardo 3 points
lo siento, no lo se
 chunky 3 points
I think you have to modify the servo to do this, so I wouldn't recommend it unless you know what you ae doing.

Can I use a hitec servo with a futaba receiver?
 JohnH 310 points
Basically any brand of Servo with any Receiver. Servos are not brand or type specific to the receiver.

This is a very reliable servo especially for mid sized glow powered planes. The carbonite gears are very durable and the servos work flawlessly. I have been using the 475 HB servos for more than 3 years and I am sure that these will also serve in the same way. Highly recommended. However the prices are similar to the ones in Tower Hobbies which I was expecting to be lower with HK. 4 Stars only for the Price.
