You can use two (2) transmitters ('controls') to control two receivers ('cars'), no problems at all. You have to bind each car to its own control transmitter.
It is also possible to control more than one receiver from one transmitter.
Hi, I bought this Rx/Tx and installed it to a Turnigy trooper 4x4 truck. I bound it as described in another discussion below. The throtle (CH2) works fine but the steering (CH1) does not work at all. I turn on the Tx, then I turn on the truck, the wheels turn half way to the right and the steering is not responding at all. Any ideas what's wrong? Could it be some setting on the Tx or the Rx is defective? Thank you
i got exatly the same issue for an unknow reason my chanel1 doesnt work at all i cant say what is the cause .. the TX or the RX i ordered an RX hoping its the one who doesnt work.
i dont even finish 1 run when it happened
I guess the steering dual rates are adjusted by the rightmost trimmer, right? What is the use of it? I have tried it to several positions but still the same. The only thing that changed is how much the wheels are turning to the right after I turn on the truck. But still no steering response at all. I 've seen it happened to others as well, any luck?
I have tried adjusting the steering dual rates (dial on the right) in several positions, no luck. I re-bound Rx-Tx five times, still no change. I guess something is damaged, but which one the Rx or the Tx?
its the TX issue tested with a new rx got same issue ... cha 1 doest work at all got to buy a new one i dont process a return cause at this price it will cost me more to ship it back
Hi, I got this transmitter and it was working fine, but it then stoped turning the throttle and the break work fine but the turning doesn't at all, When I turn on the receiver the wheels turn abit like all do but then I cant turn it. I have moved the thing that's makes the wheel only turn abit or less and that's on full? Whats do I do? Any advise and I will be greatly thankful
as far as I know you need to modify the transmitter to enable the trainer option, the easier option is this ( Wireless Buddy Box System 4CH (Dual RX Controller PRODUCT ID: DUAL-RX4-01 )
I bought one and was working fine but the other day the steering stopped working. I tried a couple other servos and none of them work. The wiring is all correct and I have full forward and reverse but no steering any suggestions would be appreciated.
you probably have your steering dual rate switch set up wrong I did the same thing on mine awhile back and just had to turn it up or down a bit for the servo's to work again. hope that helps out your issue
Hey - anyone ever experience this... I recently put a new receiver into my Trooper... and bound the thing to my receiver. Transmitter/receiver worked ok last night. Turned it off and went to bed. This evening went in to work some more on the car, turned on the Transmitter, and nothing!!! No light, nothing. Changed batteries (three times) sill nothing. How can something be working one evening and not the next. Nothing happened to the transmitter today... didnt even go in to the room I dont think!!!
Anyone ever had this problem?
sounds to me like something broke on the power switch...highly unlikely but check that the polarity is right in the battery compartment, and that none of the wires got pinched in the door while closing, if not any of that i would say that a diode in the power circut popped when you shut it off last time, yes these things do happen to perfectly good electronics,i have one of these that no matter how much you trim it out the thing turns the servo left gradually because the potentiometer is bad and it worked great the first time i used it and then the second time it pulled to the left
Hi dbest325, thanks for your comprehensive reply. I reckon any one of the things you say could be the case... will have a look see at connections, wires. but if it gets any more complicated than that, its beyond my very limited electronic skills. Either way, looks like I better buy a new one, I guess. That's a good thing about these being so cheap at least. Thanks again. Cheers
Recently purchased and placed new receiver in my turnigy. The throttle works fine but the steering is not working anymore. Is it possible that my channel one doesn't work on the new receiver or is there something I'm not doing properly?
No it started working after I hooked the old transmitter and receiver up then switched back to the new. Appreciate your help though and I'm glad that I didn't have to go through the return policy.
They are smalle than a box of matches (or as long as a regular key). Therefore, they should fit anywhere. You are also able to remove its cover in order to make it really small.
these receivers are not water proof but can be made water proof with the use of liquid tape or similar, and yes you can run the reciever and servos from the car battery through an ESC
An example for practical 3rd channel use, is on a Nitro Savage, where you can mount a reverse unit, and for this unit to function, you need a 3rd channel to operate it. On my drift car, I used the 3rd to operate the light buckets on a Mazda rx-7. Switch button and lights came on and the buckets flipped open. Looked quite good.
I recently bought this controller and its doing good for now. But the fail safe doesn't seems to work. Went I turn the controller off before the esc, the esc and motor goes full trottle. How can I adjust the fail safe? thanks
It does have a fail safe in the receiver. It needs to be set to your servo's setup. First set the transmitter's servo operation switches to normal or reverse. Which ever direction works correctly for your RC. Turn transmitter on and then the receiver. Apply and hold full brake on your RC transmitter. Take the toothpick looking tool and insert in the hole to the left of the solid lit LED on the receiver. It should start flashing for a few seconds. When solid again it will be set. Test by turning off you transmitter. The brake should be full on. You can also apply 3/4 brake or nuetral when resetting the fail safe. This also works the same for the stearing servo. Set fail safe for straight, left or right. You can even set braking and stearing at the same time. I know because I have 2 of these transmitters with receivers and an additonal 2 receivers. They work perfect! No more runaways!
I have never had any problems with these controllers. Theya re not the most expensive and i know that HSP also use the same TX and RX, so its just rebranded. The range on these is pretty good. I am happy with them for the price.
The antenna is a set length, however you can buy / make a better antenna

On my EDF boat, I have got a modified antenna on the boat also (extended wire), which has more than doubled the range, so you might want to also try this.

Finally, you could try a range test.#

Range situation. I lost 2 more boats on our nearby lake. I can see them clearly when they stop working.??? These boats have deck mounted fans and air rudders like swamp boats used in everglades. The antennas are right on top. The propellers stop turning and rudders don't move. The winds then just blow the boats down the lake and out of sight. They can't be out further than 500 ft from me when this happens and there are no obstacles between me and the boats. Can I increase antenna length or are they made at a tuned length for the transmitter/ receiver combination. The antennas are parallel to the water in the lakes.

Caramba! Oh gosh! They send the radio 15/03 and until now the order not arrived in the Country. It has been 34 days and didn't arrived. Has anyone ever experienced this? Like in the case of Sergio, the package can arrive in my home without any update in the system of the Brazil PO. Honestly, I'm a little worried.
Thanks for the reply, Rexy. I should've put the ESC. It's a Turnigy 20A BRUSHED ESC. I followed the included instructions with the above results. I am old school with mechanical or simple plug-and-play speed controls.
Setting ESC throttle range
1- Set TX throttle to max
2- Power up ESC
3- Wait until it gives 2 beeps
4- Move stick to bottom
5- Listen to several beeps
6- disconnect battery
Your done
I'm trying to set up my throttle control using this ESC and a Hobby King GT-2 RX/TX. Switch TX on, throttle trim at minimum, brake off, plug in battery with TX in neutral throttle and I get the 'throttle not at lowest setting' rapid beeps. If I do this procedure over with the throttle pushed all the way forward (brake or reverse), it sets up fine, but motor will run with the TX in neutral position. The motor will only stop if I push the throttle forward. This doesn't seem correct as it would be a pain to hold the throttle up while getting everything switched on.
Is there a way to get the trim down further so the ESC senses true low position?
Binding transmitter to Reciever
1. Install the batteries in the transmitter.
2. Insert the jumper to the Bat port of the receiver.
3. Connect the receiver battery to any one of the channel- ports. Note: at the same time there are two LED’*s flashing meaning the receivers are going into bind status.
4. Press and hold the Bind button on the transmitter, and then switch on the transmitter.
5. Observe the LED on the receiver. When the LED stops flashing, the bind was successful. (This process about 10 seconds)
6. Release the Bind button on the transmitter and remove the jumper and receiver battery.
7. Install a servo and receiver battery and then test.
8. If the tests fail, please repeat steps 1-7.
Notes: The negative pin is on the short side of the receiver (i.e. The signal is toward the center of the receiver).
i dont have a receiver's battery, is it posible to use the car itself with the ESC powered by the lipo pack? with the steps you've given? i'm goin to use it in 1/16 mini troper sct
This servo works with this radio (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__9037__BM S_L530DMG_HS_1_5_Scale_Digital_Servo_MG_19_8kg_15sec _140_5g.html)??
and
which battery should I use to play two of these servos in my automodel 1/5 scale?
yes, the servo works with this radio..but, since ur using a high power servo u need a UBEC, especially this kind of servo..u can find UBEC here in hobbyking maybe 5V-5amps is enough for this one.and u can use at least 2cell lipo..and u go to goggle and search how to install ubec..
Great little transmitter, I use this on my HoBao (Ofna) Hyper 7.5. At first i found the Tx a little touchy (no expo) but now i'm used to it and at this price you couldn't find a better tx/rx set, especially on 2.4ghz. Great for a beginner that is sick of having the same channel tx/rx as others down at the track, with this you won't need to worry anymore!
Pros: -Super easy to use -Comes bound to receiver -Receivers are cheap
Cons: -Hard to read trims with power on (the power LED is right next to them and is really bright) -No expo
this tx/rx combo is better than my $150 name brand higher-end FM radio. sure, it lacks some programming features, but it is much easier to use and good bashers/racers don't need all that technical stuff anyway. i had some serious problems with range and glitching with all my AM and FM radios with my 1/8th scale brushless vehicles and i could not get this thing to glitch no matter how hard i tried. i even drove the truck until i needed binoculars to see it and it was still 100pcnt responsive. the radio doesn't feel as cheap as i expected either. the rubber on the steering wheel is nice and solid. the rx is also very small and light. i would give this system 10 stars if i could.
