More than just a fancy name. I would not charge over 2.2 amps. Some batteries are capable of more than 1c charge rate, but most manufacturers recomend 1c. You can find the charge rate on any battery by dividing the total mah by one thousand. a 5000mah battery would charge at 5 amps 5000/1000=5

Charge rate is as per reccomendation.....HK Product team uses nano-tech all the time and out in the field regularly charge at 5c and more.

I will use an HK Turnigy Accucel-6 for charging this battery. What is the best amp value for charging (the battery is 2200mAh 4 cel 14,8V.

The Max Charge Rate (C) of this battery is 8. that is: 2200mAh X 8= 17.6 Ampere. The Accucel-6 Maximum Range of Charge Current is 6 Ampere, So any Value from 2-6 Ampere is OK.

He comprado esta baterí*as en el Almacen de Alemania. Me costado un poquito má*s (8 dolares mas total, incluidos portes) que pidié*ndolas al almacé*n de China, a cambio, me han llegado en un tiempo record hice el pedido el 21 de febrero y me ha llegado el 26 de febrero a primera hora de la mañ*ana. I'm planning to add an ADC with battery sense monitoring, just for fun. At which voltage will the battery be depleted? I will assume 2.7V but can anyone confirm this?

Answer to my own question: A cell is depleted at 3.0V.. This was confirmed by Ian in the support team.

Although a 3V cell is considered to be 100% depleted, it is not recommended to go down there at all as you will be shortening its lifespan. You actually should limit yourself to voltages above 3.5V in order protect the battery. Some chargers will have trouble recognizing the number of cells in a pack if any cell voltages drop below 3.2V and you should be careful to double check you have selected the right charging mode.

The HK Turnigy Accucel-6 50W 6A Balancer/Charger w/ accessories charger will be more than enough for this battery.

I suggest that charger too, if you need a wall plug power cable you can find one on ebay for about $10. Best of luck! :)

I put one of these in my Phase 3 Squall with the 4 cell motor, this thing realy kicks butt now, I'm getting 525 watts at 35A. 4 minutes flying at 80 - 100pcnt throttle with no visible power loss over the course of the flight. Thanks HC excellent battery, highly recomended!

Ran 2 in parallel behind a Tower Pro 700kv 46 glow equivalent in a 46 size Sky Raider highwing trainer. Flew for 9 mins and batteries not even warm. Ran separate flight pack so batteries only running motor. Drew 1426 (approx) mah per battery. Great batteries and will be getting more!

Great battery, I am slowly replacing all of my lipos with nanotechs and XT60 connectors. They are truly much better than traditional lipos.
