Does anyone know the update frequency? I need this for the FBL system setup.
 gaspin6 12 points
I use them at 1520psec. and they are fine. On the cyclic they do not feel warm after 5mins gentle acros. Very pleased with their performance so far.
 str8inpilot 2 points
gaspin6 you are graspin at straws. You just told me the centre point for the servo only the unit is usec. Thanks for trying. At this stage I can assume that it is 250Hz, but I was hoping that someone might know if it can work better at a higher refresh rate,
 gaspin6 12 points
Nothing like a pendant to keep things warm, the actual unit is micro.sec. I don't have a MU symbol easily available, perhaps more helpfully to all I run the servos at 330Hz without problems.

I have not got the servos installed yet, but when I do, I was intending to give it a go at both speeds to see if I detect any difference. Thanks very much for doing that trial, I appreciate your advice. Sorry about my comment earlier. I thought you might have been one of the people who make up the answers and have no real experience about what they talking about, I was wrong.
 gaspin6 12 points
No problem str8in, I use them with the HK DFC head and FBL ZYX gyro, flies like a 500 size now, sooo steady.
 2Doggs 186 points
these are rebranded Henge servos, and Henge claim 275Hz, if memory serves. There are much better choices for tail use, though they're OK on cyclic.
 str8inpilot 2 points
I'm using them on the cyclic for a HK 450 Pro FBL, with IKON flybarless system. I set the refresh rate to 330Hz. There are no issues on the standard settings. I have not done any tuning yet. The bailout system on the IKON tips the heli on it's side. I don't know why yet. There is a bit of porpoise like trajectory at full forward flight, I don't know what that is either. Appart from that it is very solid heli and I'm looking forward to many hours of fun.

any one using them in their cyclic on 450 flb, and how well do they work.
 Andrp 21 points
I use these servos on my 450pro and 450sport (both robirdG31).There is no difference with align DS415M.So, I recommend these servos because they are much cheaper than DS415M.

When you come to stock???
 radicalrj 19 points
I guess you will need to get another servo... Try Corona 929mg, it's a good replacement for this 933.

Frequency on this servo?
 Joel 97 points
the frequency on the hk922mg is 1520 - 250 so id assume its the same with this considering these two servos are just geared differently for torque or speed.

Does HK sell replacement gear set for this servo? Or any compatible servo gears available? Maybe too cheap for making replacement parts?
 Marco Antonio 40 points

This price does not change the engranages, change the servo

Does hobby king sell replacement arms for these servos?
 craigyk 1 points
I'm wondering the same thing, but I've read the Align DS410 arms fit correctly.
 ilektron 66 points
They should be the 20 spline GWS Naro arms. I haven't found them on HK.
 raja_mastana 28 points
The arms (Product ID 450-0025) should be compatible with the 933MG servos. They are in-stock

seeing that the henge md933 are on back order , i decided to buy these for the cyclic on my 450 gt, will give more info on their performance.
 Thomas 35 points
just to confirm , these definitely are rebranded henge servo's , packaging , horns etc.. all the same as henge, just got hk-933 on them now.
centering is great , not that noisy for digital servo's , also speed is good, but I think their torque is lower as as listed , but otherwise great servo.
 fullrespect 151 points
Come one HobbyKing - I want to buy those servos. Go get some huge stock!! Thanks
floydbh  94 points - 1/19/2011

I just need parts of this servo, like a box! where i can find it?
 legion 278 points
buy another servo!
floydbh  94 points - 12/14/2010

WTF is that?! The similar product but a bigger price?!? HK is going to be out of the mind? Que merd essa?! O mesmo produto por preo maior?! HK ta ficando louca?! why buying this and not the henge one?!
 DiF0r 128 points
bigger price than what ?
 floydbh 94 points
bigger than D933MG Digital Metal. It cost only 9.79 and has only 29g. this has 35g and costs 9.80!!! and both are the same servo!
 Tiago 16 points
Eles so bem parecidos mesmo. rs. Mas j testaram, abriram? o mesmo servo mesmo? se for eu no ligo de pagar um pouco mais para ter a marca da HK.hahah
 Sawdust 1603 points
This weighs 12 grams. The shipping weight is the 35 grams, servo plus accessories plus packaging.
jake26  125 points - 12/14/2010

Are all the gears metal in this servo? or is there one small plastic?
 heyya 190 points
According to Henge rep, this is the one with nylon gear on center. If you're looking for full metal gear set, 922 is the right one for you. Manufacturer vaguely claims 933 has high MTBF, seem little odd, but slower speed of this one yields probable higher useful life (50 hour continuous operation with no failure).
vinay2070  174 points - 12/14/2010

Looks like the Henge Servos!

packaging , horns , everything the same just got hk on them now.
Speed is great.
Centering is always spot on.
Not noisy for digital servo's.
Torque may be a bit lower than its spec.
Otherwise great bang for the buck.

I got 4 together with 3 HK-922MG servos. At first they seem to work fine although a little noisy. But after close examination one of the 933's had a bad centering problem. It jitters badly up to the point where I feel it can not be used on the elevator of the EDF jet I intended it for.
Luckily I had ordered a spare 933 (maybe anticipating this) but I am still somewhat disappointed by this.
The cost of claiming warranty is such that I will not even attempt it.
The 922's seem fine but are also noisy and don't seem to like 14 millisecond pulse rate. I had to switch to 20ms pulse rate to get them running smooth.
All in all a mixed experience.
