Since this plugs into the Reciever, can you put it on a channel that can be switched on/off with the Transmitter?

yes you can do it that way. using a remote switch.

Can i switch it on/off by Tx, as they are connected via receiver?

No, you can't switch it no/off by Tx. Only mechanic way on the ground

No. this is only powered by your reciever. It does not have an internal on/off switch. If you would like that option I would reccomend SKU: LUM-ONF turnigy remote reciever switch or, if you plan on having multiple lights SKU: M_Fswitch Multiremote reciever switch for more options than just on/off.

Idea Fix - rc speed is closer, the actual outside diameter of this fiber optic cable is 2.11mm or 0.083 inches. Please do not credit me, pass it to rc speed for being the closest.

Hi Mate, I have these lights directly plugged in to my receiver and they work fine. I actually have 4 sets plugged in. I ended up installing a Turnigy UBEC just to be safe. The lights work well at night!

super for night flying. I mounted it on my Tristania down and up on fuselage. Tristania can handle 3 pcs of this fiber-optic.

Glows perfect and very good visibility ! Only three stars because connection to led light comes loose easily. On the other hand easy to fix with tape

Guter Artikel.
gleichmÃ¤ÃŸige Ausleuchtung Ã¼ber die gesamte LÃ¤nge.
Das AnschluÃŸkabel verfÃ¼gt Ã¼ber 3 DrÃ¤hte und ich nahm an, ich kÃ¶nnte das Licht Ã¼ber den Sender nach entsprechender Programmierung ein- bzw. aus schalten. Leider ohne Funktion. Der Steuerdraht ist wohl nur zur Verziehrung.
Aber halb so schlimm.
Trotzdem 5 Sterne
