You are not likely to find a foamy jet any bigger than this! This huge Mig is made from EPO foam and is super detailed, there can be no doubt, this jet is going to look so impressive making fast 'n' low passes down your flying field!
Included in the kit is a 92mm EDF unit and a full set of scale Oleo legs & fixed gear mounts although it would be simple to convert this model to electric retracts and use the supplied undercarriage legs. Also included is an LED Lighting set, comprehensive hardware kit and waterslide decals for the final touch. The build is going to be fairly involved but straightforward, a full set of instructions are included.
This is a limited stock item, so you only have one chance to buy this huge model at such a low price, when they are gone, they are gone!
Features: Tough EPO foam Huge size Excellent value for money Highly detailed Great flying performance
Requires: Your own 6 channel TX/RX 1600kv Brushless EDF Motor 80A ESC OPTO UBEC 4500mAh 6s Lipoly Battery Retracts with 4mm mount shaft (optional) 9g servo x 8
the only problem i have is the cgyou install the lipo as far to the front as it will go but still tail hevy you need a near 1/2 pound wait in the frontjust to get the right cg then its to hevie for flight.i think hk as mest up not happy
what a wast,
I truly belive that it cant be hand launched due to its size and weight, the EDF needs rotation and speed to achieve its high performance. Makes sense? Best regards
I agree Tarmac Trundle or Bungee launch u need fast air over the control surfaces and unlike a big prop u get no air over the control surfaces direct from the prop.
Search for HKS-1106. This is the perfect, drop-in fit retract system. You would use the struts & wheels supplied in the MiG kit instead of the ones in the picture of the retract units.
This appears to be a FlyFly plane if so there is a metal trunion'd servoless retract unit will bolt in using the stabdard fittings including the metal frames shown in pic 6 u glu the metal frame in very strongly and the retracts bolt into it HTH
6 screws hold the wing to the fuse, 3 each side but there's not much support between them. I'm going to be adding a C/F spar though mine as there's a vid on you tube of one folding its wings in flight!
first picture from the right, front landing gear looks flimsy, 3rd picture from the right front landing gear look's like casting, so, which one do we get??
zaskarkid but how much bigger can we go 1500mm. Does foam last forever. I fly plane my dad made over 40 years. Balsa film paper dope silk. Some daggie some rebuilt or recovered. But I have never heard of a 20 year old foamy???????????
if u believe the half package will be any smaller in dimensions than the full package u will be dissapointed the two packages would be equal size as one wing in each box sets minimum volume. or one for wings and one for fusil is the same as the fusil length is looong HTH
so splitting into two will not get it to you
u could always cut it into whatever combo of size and number make the best vale and buy lots of Cyano and epoxy and HK fiber tape lol *} i reckon 8 parcels would lower th average volume but u coulalways slice it into 4mm wide laminates and send it like a flat poster. After re gluing the 4mm laminates the plane would be a lot stronger too lol
It is possible to send. The size of a box of the manufacturer 1085x350x565mm = 1085 (350 565) *2 =2917 and weight of 6585 the Maximum standard for EMS: no more than 4999 g. at length of 1000 mm and to the maximum size of 3600 mm. The box of the manufacturer corresponds to maximum size, no corresponds to length and weight.
I have looked at the instruction on assemblage and model drawings. According to, the general sizes of model we have:
1. One wing and a quarter of a fuselage is entered in a square 980 х* 560 х* 120 mm. The size of a box can be 1000 х* 700 х* 300 mm (1000 (700 600) х* 2 = 3600 mm). Two wings enters. Between wings it is possible to put rudder and elevator. However there is a risk of damage of wings at transportation.
2. The fuselage consists of two parts in the size: 935 х* 240 х* 240 mm and 640 х* 240 х* 240 mm. The maximum permissible size of a box for EMS: 1000 х* 600 х* 400 (1000 (600 400) х* 2 = 3000) or for Parcel a mail two boxes on 1050 х* 40 х* 40.
The fuselage and other details enters.
There is a question on ship cost.
if its the new 12 blade your talking about then NO, this has one with it and im not sure if it is new but it looks like all the other one's,if i were you i would get the 12 blade ,its awsome ,check it out on the new items there are vidio's of it also.i have the fly fly F4 and im going to order it . good luck
You have some good choices on this site. For a start, OR011-01701 if you have suitable servos. Maybe OR011-01804 will suit your pocket. Or alternatively, look up DSR-46T for servoless solution, if you feel the model warrants the cost.
Only the Flyfly/HTG type will "bolt right in" to the supplied mounts. However with some work you can install some that will handle the 3.7kg flying weight.
After doing some research I found out that the wing is attached with six screws and comes off for transport. Google Hobby Topgun Mig-15 for videos and more info. Now how do I give myself credit :)
Looks like it needs spars to reinforce wings so they dont fold but all in all looks good... so its ordered
The value of transport is more expensive than the plane, do not believe that after him montato'll get to that weight, HK can improve the value of transport.
i want to order one but they wont ship it to me because of length 1085 but is able to ship 1500 weight 6585 but your able to ship 6999 the only thing is total size 2917 and are max is 2850 that makes no sences and not fare hk you have to fix this i want one bad before they run out pleas
It's not HK limitation, the postal services have their own rules, HK can't change. You could get it shipped but at the shipping costs noone is willing to pay.
For my country, Slovenia, European Union, they offer EMS shipping only, but the price is $114.79 just for shipping! I live near Austria, so sometimes I order to a postal office there, in this case the shipping for this item is SingPost AirParcel 7kg / 7-21Days $103.99, so almost no difference. If you live next to a EU country, order it there and go pick it up.
really and how many would they send to each wharehouse (limited number available) If you really want it you pay for it try living in Australia and having stuff shipped all the way here
when i look at pic 3 i dovetail joints these need to be glued, also i can see no bolt holes in the wing root edge or the fusil to accept bolts. thanks for replying i am still not 100% sure *}
