Huh? once you wire up the connectors on your ESC it is all but impossible to reverse the polarity accidentally using the supplied 4mm connectors and plastic covers. I've switch over to them on my larger electrics and prefer them over Deans plugs.
sumeetkakroo  48 points - 3/21/2010

can this one be used as a transmitter battery, provided we change the connector?
 opjose 228 points
Nope, too big to fit a TX.
 philipp3775 5 points
die akkus sind ok für den preis hab bis jetzt keine zerschonen wie es bei den billig marken der fall ist
Joseph  93 points - 9/8/2009

This pack is great because of the thickness which is 16mm you can slip it perfectly it also pack good power so more air time
wildey  16 points - 9/6/2009

deans are not to good they don't make a good connection all the time!! bullet connectors are right on all the time !! no big deal to change them..
 SoMoney 184 points
Bullet connectors can make a good connection but if you reversed the polarity on acciden, it will burn up your esc/bec/motor "All The Time"!!!
maverickma  85 points - 8/6/2009

What is the weight (in grams) of this pack??
 ParamiLL 145 points
Mine is 211 grams. It says in the description that it is 212 grams. So 212 grams /- 2 grams :-)
 ParamiLL 145 points
/- it was meant to say :-)
 ParamiLL 145 points
Okay so you can't write a plus sign. Plus/minus 2 grams. *-)
Gandalf_Sr  168 points - 6/5/2009

Legal reasons or not, I think these are dangerous and have switched to Deans. If you make up a cluster by having 2 or more batteries with a harness then it's possible to accidentally plug 2 of these batteries together resulting in a dead short, probably with a resultant explosion and fire! Withe Deans, this isn't possible.
Jeremy  27 points - 4/16/2009

Can someone measure one of these for me and give actual dimensions? Wondering if it would fit in a trex450 with stock canopy?
THanks!
 electrafly 142 points
Jeremy, I don't mean to be rude, but don't you read the specifications under the add. It's the 5 one down under the word, ( Spec.) called, ( Dimensions )
 Jeremy 27 points
Yes I do read them, but numbers listed aren't always correct, I was hoping to get a confirmation from some real world numbers.. If you look at other zippys on here and some people have posted actual dimensions they differ from those listed.
 justice 579 points
hay jeremy,iv brought batterys from HK reading the dimentions and when you get them there is a differance!
 OldSkoolKool 2841 points
Good point Jeremy and justice. Seven out of ten orders that I have received from Hobby King have had the dimensions or weights misrepresented. (44 orders total) That's why I try to post the dimensions and weights of all merchandise that I get from UH-HC-HK. Hopefully someone who has bought this battery will post the specs on it.
Happy flying.

Correct: 2.65A x 20 = 53A Constant, 79.5A Burst * 30C.

Patrick  19 points - 4/2/2009

This battery should handle a 53 amp draw constant. Correct?
David  17 points - 4/2/2009

The "Deans" connectors are protected. Any connector that looks like it is illegal. They can be sued. That's why the batteries are using other connectors now. Deans hasn't authorized (yet) Zippy to use those connectors.
 Malfamartin 940 points
David, you must be kidding! Who cares? It is all about price on the connector! Economy rules everything today my friend. Many of Zippys are still sold with "Deans". I and many with me don't care what they put on on, because we change to our own standard if needed. For me it is Deans.
People who can not resolder are not modellers, and they must be frustrated. They can look for another brand of LiPoly! The world is full with copycats.
 David 17 points
Who cares??? Read the first line above. I answered his question. Looks like Jason agrees. BTW, I know because I got into some hot water over the Deans connector. Deans is hot on everyone for this. That's why you are seeing less and less of off brand batteries come with that connector now.
bwoollia  320 points - 4/2/2009

I'm just going to fabricate an adaptor - 4mm plug to deans.
 bwoollia 320 points
Wait - this is the 3S battery. Perhaps deans would have been a much better choice.
Mustang Sally  1084 points - 4/2/2009

Even if they would come with a huge AC mains plug I would still buy them for that price. I am a modeler and can solder my own plugs...
edgee400  172 points -

If you wont pay this great price cause you have to put your own connector on thats crazy. I use ec3 bullet conectors on mine so its great for me . Its great wether it had it or not.
 Sharik 148 points
Is those bullet connectors will fit with EC3 connectors?
I see the bullet are 4mm and if I correct the EC3 is 3.5mm ???
Robachan  1089 points -

I just want consistency. We've had Deans until now. Let's just keep it that way. I haven't had any problems. What problems did you have Fab?
I like to get ones with the connectors already on them, and I think most people enjoy the convenience. If you don't want them, just change them.
Honestly, I was going to buy this battery, but I decided not to, just because of the trouble of having to change the connector to a Deans because that's what all my planes use.
 mememe 17 points
Soldering your own personal connector on would have taken you the same amount of time as writing your reply.

It certainly is a fast food nation.
 Malfamartin 940 points
I've heard a lot, but that was stupid mememe!
 Malfamartin 940 points
What has Albania to brag about????
Fabrizio  30 points -

I think the bullet connector are more reliable and can keep more current, i used deans style connectors and i had some problems
 Kip D. 254 points
I'd rather have no connector and a lower price...
CrashinDutchman  281 points -

Why suddenly the bullet connectors? For a long time you have been selling batteries with Deans style connectors...
 H-KING_SCOTT 5160 points
Legal reasons I believe.
 CrashinDutchman 281 points
Since when do Chinese companies care about a product being made/sold legally? This is new to me!

3 thumbs up!
I got these two batteries 2-weeks ago and disappoited when I charge it it said wrong voltages polarity discounnect the balancer and try 4 times untill reads thru my 610TP charger. I wait for 10-minutes charge to recover then, stop and re-connect balancer and works fine. voltages drop to 2.68 both of then, glad it recovered back. Today I tried wow it has a punch on my Trex 500 2-mode to hard 3D next time try 30C I bet better than 20C

3 thumbs up!
Sehr gute Zelle.

I bought 2 of these packs, I use them in a Extreme Flight Profile Yak, with a Turnigy motor, it pulls 55A (full throttle) with no problems. Very nice packs, I can recommend them to everyone.
