    Product Description

    The Decathlon Scout, like the Piper Cub, is an affordable two-seat, high-wing general aviation airplane that is designed for personal and light commercial use. It is more commonly used for social/recreational flying but thanks to its short takeoff and landing ability it is also used by bush pilots in more remote locations.

    This is an excellent rendition of the Scout with great scale lines and detailed finish.  You also get a choice of standard landing gear or floats.  It is ideal for park flying and there is plenty of power from its 300kv brushless motor when flying off a 2S 500mAh LiPo.

    The model comes with ailerons and operates on four channels as a plug & play airplane.  It only requires you connect up your own four channel radio system and a battery and you are ready to get airborne.

    Nice little micro plane

    I purchased this while it was on sale for $50. Glad I did. It flew a few times then the elevator servo stuck and it went down. I was primarily flying it with floats on in the winter. Now my float gear is shot. Oh well.... Swapped out the servo and now it's in the air again. Fast for a 2s set up.

    I found that my 370mAh and 450mAh batts fitted only just, no bigger would fit. The plane flies very well and is quite fast for a 2s setup.

    Arrived last week, looked very well made. Couldn't see how to put thew floats on yet so went with wheels. My friend threw it for me (as he has done many for me) it did 2/3 spirals out of his hand, crashed and broke the wing. I wonder why this was the only one in this mini series reduced. Has anyone else bought one. How did it go?

    Nice little foam Decathlon. Packaging was good and it arrived with no issues. Build is easy with floats or main gear. The biggest problem I have encountered is that the step on the floats is way too far forward of the CG. The plane cannot takeoff like this. It just skips across the water even at full throttle and up elevator. Bought it primarily for the floats so my rating may be a bit lower than someone who doesn't use the floats. For the money this is a nice little foamie.
