The Armstrong Whitworth F.K.10 was a unique design that never went into full production, it was intended as a 2 seat fighter and light bomber/recconasance aircraft but proved to be inferior to succesful designs already in service. The whole concept of quadruplane's was fairly shortlived but the F.K.10 featured some interesting design features, particularly the all moving tail.....eventually the key to supersonic flight!

This fantastic looking H-King F.K.10 is made from tough EPO foam and has been superbly finished in a realistic paint scheme complete with authentic waterslide decals. The pre-installed 9g servo's, 35mm Brushless Motor and 30A ESC certainly help to speed up assembly but it would be fair to say that the build is slightly more involved than a monoplane! Like the full size aircraft, this fantastic looking model has some unique features, first is the very scale all-moving tail, just like the real thing, which is mounted on a carbon rod and support by bearings and struts at each end, secondly is the bayonet fitting cowl, a very simple but effective way to install the battery and as you do not plug the battery in until the cowl has been re-fitted, it is also quite safe.

In terms of flying, the F.K.10 has amazing slow fly capability, the lift of 4 wings combined with the more than ample thrust of the powerful outrunner motor & 10" prop means that the F.K.10 can cruise around at a mere wiff of throttle. The large wheels means that the F.K.10 can handle the roughest of strips, especially as there is plenty of power for take off and landing is a breeze courtesy of the amazingly slow approach speed. As this fantastic looking model uses a nice big 3300mAh 3s pack, flight times are just amazing which is just as well, this model has so much presense that you just won't want to land it!

This plane is great, and Hands down very beautiful. My only reason for a 3 star rating is that some of the setup really is trial and error. The instructions are very poorly written and finding resources on the internet is challenging. But once assembled it is a blast to fly and brings lots of looks from those around you!

Great flyer Keep the CG as per instructions and use the rudder a lot. Would write a complete review but this website timed out on me.

Have changed my mind now I have started it! I would avoid this kit now! Received mine and found machine gun broken, but glued in, plastic part for holding in undercarriage broken, but not too serious, spar for tailplane missing, but best of all, now that I have started building it, have found it has 3 right hand wing panels and one left hand panel for the middle wings. As my kit it is out of warranty (and unfortunately I have started building it) now having quite a job getting anywhere to just get a spare wing panel.

Got my plane today. It is reasonably well packed, except I found the cowling has a thumb size crush damage caused by the heavy landing gear packed adjacent to it. The machine gun seemed to e fixed onto the fuselage in a hurry and the instrument sticker slanted! These could have been avoided by leaving them for the user to attach themselves. The skid was also broken off from the fuselage and the damage could also been avoided by leaving them for user to glue them onto the fuselage as part of the build process! For the price, I guess one cannot complain too much about the quality. I have yet to assemble and fly it, but for sure I like to repair and repaint the cowling and perhaps add some CF rods to the wing and fuselage and replace those cheap servos after some flights.

Good Model... No instructions, I just assembled mine, and had to do a lot of guess work, everything fitted perfect like Lego

The drawings showing the wire rigging left a lot to the imagination. The 30A ESC seems to be too small. The first time I ran the motor up to speed the ESC blew. Otherwise, an interesting model that looks great and hopefully will fly well once the ESC is sorted.

Test flew it today. 3200 3S battery is way too light, used a 3s 3600 and it was still tail heavy but at least could get it to fly. Extremely pitch sensitive because of the tail heavy condition but at least it flew. major headwinds too which did not help the test flight. Ailerons are effective and should have a good bit of expo on them. The rudder is super effective but will easily cause tip stall so use it carefully.
It is different which why i bought it. against a background of greenery the camo works exceptionally well so easy to lose orientation. on the other hand it is magnificent in the air so well worth the effort. If you like unusual planes this is one worth having.

Just got this kit, how could anyone resist it! Discovered some minor damage in components which could be repaired, but the carbon rod for the tailplane was missing. Complained to HK and was told I would have to return the complete kit to get a replacement rod! They must be joking! Will go to local model shop and buy some carbon spars there. Good model let down by poor quality control.
