I have tried several other FC such as multiwii and other arduino based controllers. The DJI naza may not be as expandable and expendable as these other Flight controllers. But performance wise, the Naza definitely outgun them. It is easier to use, more dependable, and very accurate when it comes to position hold both in the GPS and Altitude aspects. It will save you from a lot of headaches of trying to figure out the best possible parameters to achieve a fluid flight and solid position hold. Although I must say that mini racing quads is not the Naza's class as It can easily be outgunned by leading racing FCs such as CC3D and Naze32. When it comes to Areal photography multicopters, Naza is definitely up there along the top dogs.I would give a review on how it flies but I cannot get everything set up the naze have looked for instructions on how to calibrate and set it up but cannot find anything that shows you exactly what to do
can anybody help jetAwesome controller especially after the v2 upgrade. If anybody is having drift problems on gps hold during yaw do what I did. Try to imagine what is happening to the gps antenna during yaw, its moving in small circles and is constantly trying to correct its position but by the time it reacts its in a different position again.
I mounted my antenna directly above the centre of gravity which is also the position the copter rotates around, this way the antenna will not be moving laterally during yaw and the copter will not drift. Another thing that must be done is adjust the antenna for magnetic declination, find out the declination where you are and if its a positive number rotate the gps clockwise the same amount in degrees and vice versa if its a negative number trust me this cures drift to zero. After moving the gps you must recalibrate the mag, this is important otherwise the copter will not fly in a straight line.Nice controller, upgraded to v2, 4.02 firmware flies even better now. Had problems with v 4.04 I would not advise upgrading to this version I had do factory reset then upgrade to v 4.02 now all is good.Super easy to configure and get any quad flying.Hard to configure and might work a little bettervery good FC for quads, hexa, octo, only disadvantage it doesn't support normal tricopters. We'll see of it work in Afghanistan fingers crossedExtremely easy to set up and tune. Works really well and very stable. You're paying for the ease of use compared to some of the other controllers as you can get more features for the same price elsewhere. For beginners you can't go wrong with this controller.Really liked that I could use a potentiometer on my radio to adjust gains and such in flight then go to the computer and store those settings into the DJI takes all the guess work out of setting it up
