I'm so impressed by the built quality of this motor. very well put together.. the wires are good. it has a notch on the front side of the shaft for better grip of the grub screw on the adapter. also the shaft extends to the back for a reason. did you ever try to tighten up the rotor nut but the motor was spinning? that's the reason of the shaft extension in the back which is not rounded to help you get a good grab with a nose pliers or any pliers so that you will tighten up the rotor nut without the motor spinning. amazing motor and performance also. with a 10 blader DPS series Impeller and a 3300mah Zippy compact 40c 6s pack I was pulling 70amps and around 1590watts IN THE PLANE (FW YAK-130 70mm)Beast of a motor that you won't find anywhere else cheaper. Been running on a 12b FW impeller drawing over 2000wp on start up(settling to about 1700watts)in my Rebel on 6s for 3 months without a problem. This thing rocks, no better way to put it!! Keep up the awesomeness HK!
...TayzeI run a pair of these in 70mm 10 blade EDF's in alloy housings on 6s. Batteries are 2700mah 6s Turnigy NanoTec 65-135C. Toasted the batteries on 10 flights. 100A Turnigy dLux controllers. 80-ish amps. Motors are fine. I believe the alloy housing helps. Cooling at 1700 watts is essential, so with that said, they'll last, so long as you keep them from overheating.
My EDF's are out of balance from sand getting into the rotors and the units ran that way for a flight or two with no bent shaft. (Since that I have re-balanced the rotors).
I will also try the 29mm by 70mm 2600kv Dr. Mad Thrust motor.
They're a good build.Put it in my 70 mm sport jet with a 11 blade fast fast fast that's all I can say it is fast I ordered it on a Monday came on Friday flying Saturday can't ask for anything moreAppears to be well made. Very strong magnet and nice bearings.
Fitted to multiplex funjet with a graupner cam speed 6x6 prop. 5s 2000mah 40c battery. Only done 2 flights but has reached 261km/h measured with hitec gps telemetry. Motor barely even warm.
Bench tested at over 1300watts @ 82A. Unfortunately unable to check wattage in flight. Will try 5x5 prop and 6s battery next.Klasse Motor mit mchtig Power. With 4mm Shaft i cannot use it on a Kontronik KPG 27 which is olanned for this Motor...

WOW just got mine two of em today rite a way put on my bench test on my 3" Haoye boy was trying to fly off the bench , on 6S nantotech 35-70c not fully charged 24.3 volt for test . Got me over 1874 Wp at 82 Ap solid like a rock the reading is almost like a 90mm edf though it,s only 76 mm fan pulling felt like 92mm . Will be install in my scratch build twin northrop F-5B with 49" wing span and 83" length .Thanks KingShaft size is 4mm not 3.17. Try to drill out the gear for my hotliner. I hope it will go fast with a 5.2 :1 gearbox and a 15" x 18" prop.70mm rclander housing , 5 blade dynam meteor rotor, 2200kv dr, 70a hv force esc,
running with 8s 35c 2700mah 51a 1500w 9min flight times. stays cool has tons of power and unlimited vertical on my airfield f4. Very happy with this setup. AUW is 1.3 kg and it tries to shoot out of my hand straight up into the air.
